For those of you that don't already know, Blizzard is releasing a MMO mobile version of Diablo very soon. Beta testing is on going. I would say it's a mix of Diablo 2 and 3 based on the youtube content that's out there.
Here's some wizard gameplay:
I haven't really played a huge MMO action game since Diablo 2 and I'm not sure it'd be smart to start again. I would put the count probably in the 1,000s of times my girlfriend came into my office on a week day at 4am and shook her head that I was still playing. But, damn it was fun!

I just started a new character on D3 the other day... such a great mindless romp. I'm a little worried about it being on mobile... but... might be cool as long as it's not all gacha and microtrans heavy.

Itâs a 「illegitimate child」ization of the whole franchise. Reskinning a mobile game is a damn shame to do to one of the best rpgs of all time. That Blizzcon announcement video is one of the funniest fails Iâve seen. |

That blizzcon embarrassment was 2019 I think, so they've had a lot of time right the ship. And many folks testing right now are being critical for all the right reasons and feedback has been surprisingly positive. |
