So I kinda decided now about how will I progress in this game. I just got the hazard zone skin for Ares so I got to unlocked that bot lol. Thought and advice are welcome just take note that this is a F2P account.
So like I said im planning to unlock the ares and Im pretty sure I have enough to rank it up for 16 en and transfer my MR8 pair from the Guardian to it. Guardian will be resting for a long while until I can take it to 24en with a pair of CB12 so that's months of progress.
So heres my end game goal:
2x PC8 Jugg 2x Jav6 Killy 2x LA10 Panther 2x MR8 Ares 2x CB12 Guardian
Taking this route means that my next big a-coins purchase will be the CB12 and I will now only have to worry for rankups in my acoins since im only at 50K exp. With only 5 types of weapons this will also be pretty cheap.

I probably wouldn't get both Jugg and Ares. I've played both, and while both have their pros and cons, I prefer the Jugg over the Ares as a tank. The Ares shield isn't that strong, and if it goes down, then the cool down is extra long cause the cool down timer doesn't start until the shield time has been reached, whether or not the shield is still up or not.
High level Juggs are monsters. At R5, it has more HP than the Brickhouse PLUS the regenerating shield. It also works decently as a sniper or counter sniper. With MR8, and at critical choke points on some maps, you can spam the whole "shield up, walk out, alpha strike, shield down, walk back into cover and wait for reload and cool down". Personally, I'm not overly fond of tanks, but when I need one, I pull my Jugg out of storage. Mine is at R5 with 18EN and I sometimes struggle with what load out I like best. PC8 makes sense, but it also makes me play too aggressive and over extend myself. I might go for CB8 and CB10 one day, but it's far in the future for me.
Instead of Ares, I would get the MD instead as it will give you some variety in play. Put JR6 on the MD and play it like a wizard behind the tanks. Nothing supports a push like a JR6 MD.
The Killshot works well with PC8 or MR8 or even JR6. I tend to be an all or nothing kinda of guy with the KS and I use it to cap those first couple of critical beacons. So, I usually go with MR8 as this pretty much guarantees a kill if I go 1v1 with another beacon capper.
The Panther works well with just about any load out and dual LA10 is pretty good. If you're not going for RG16, then this is the next best thing.
The two most powerful weapons in this game are the CB12 (dual) and RG16, and if you're F2P, I'd probably go RG16 first, just because you never have to think about cloning it, and you've got 2 mechs that can run the Thanos build. Doing dual CB12 will take you a very very long time. I think I've been playing this game for over 6 months now (have to check when my first post was), and I got dual CB12 maybe 4 weeks ago, and I'm definitely not F2P.
Just a quick word about mechs you haven't considered. I would pass on the Cheetah and maybe consider the Zephyr, but one mech you should really consider is the Shadow. This is my personal opinion, but its the funnest mech in the game for me. It's fast, sneaky, and with JR6, I can focus on evasive maneuvers and let my missiles do the killing. On most CPC games, I run the Shadow the longest and always have a blast.

Not much to add on to what Koala said, but I will add that Ares, maxed, is almost as big of a bear as Jugs is. The shield cooldown and timer is def less user friendly, but I am finding that when running solo on Tourney, protecting my potato blues is becoming just as important as killing Reds. Especially if it is one human player on Red and they focus on my AI. Not saying to ignore what he said because they are legit issues, but there are still reasons to use Ares since that shield can literally lead a charge or protect that last kill from losing the match.
Personally, though, I ran both tanks for a long time, and ended up just R5ing both Ares and Jugs and leaving them there until I could clone my Panther, since both tanks at R5 were good enough HP for both to still be competitive at the top. Now, though, I only pull out the tanks for tasks and for variety at this point. 2 Panthers is just more tactical IMO, better speed and aim-able fence trumps more HP... for how I play.
That said, I echo the MD suggestion. Many reasons... but namely, heals. Heals get a guaranteed gold medal most games, and with the right squad you can shadow the heavy hitters, supporting them with your fire, while consistently healing them enough to keep in the fight. And there is no limit to how many times you can heal back to 100%. Think about that. MD has 60K HP maxed. Little thing is its own tank if you are careful with how you approach fights and then hide to heal. And like Koala said, with Javs, you can heal, hide, and hit from cover.

I say this a lot but endgame bots that you wanna 2nd copy are: KS Panther Guardian. Zephyr too, if that's your thing.
Ares and Juggy aren't very common in the endgame.

On most CPC games, I run the Shadow the longest and always have a blast. Thanks a lot for this. However i'm more on aesthetics than performance. I find MD design to be not very cool. That being said I also want symmetry with my bots so all must have same weapons left and right. I find ares skin I got cool looking but I'll think about it again. About shadow, I have one and when the maps are right I run it with 2xSG4. Im far from getting it to rank5 and I really dont want to invest to JR4 just to try out that load out. Jav6 will more likely be in KS for long as in combos really well with the damage of dash. Also I have no plan on getting a thanos build at all, I watch it in youtube and the RG is a short weapon while LA is very long and it's just not cool looking LOL. Anyways I'll take note of this advice I havent bought ares yet and now i'm thinking twice about it. But then again it looks really cool haha (it's me wanting everything to look coll that's the problem I guess lol)

Yeah, the RG16 is the most contradictory weapon in the game. It's the most powerful yet one of the smallest looking and just looks awful when paired with the LA8.
I think aesthetics are important, but you're passing up a great mech in the MD. It took me a long time to warm up to it too, and the only reason I don't run it more is because I already have my Shadow to R5 and love running it with JR6.
One thing about the MD's aesthetics, it's kinda cool to run around in something that looks like an Imperial Droid like the one in Empire Strikes Back!

Big fan of the missile rack 8 Ares. I won’t claim that it’s more of a tank than a jugg but it’s usually my second drop bot unless the map isn’t good for my Jav6 Shadow.
The MR8 Ares does well on tourney maps that allow missiles to shine.

Now im really thinking about what is better. U just R4ed my PC8 and to be honest it's so much of an upgrade from rank 3 than I expected. Could be because of the accuracy bunos. Im sure i'll go with this 3:
Panther 2xLA10 Guardian 2xCB12 Jugg 2xPC8
That being said Im still not dropping the Killshot. Only problem now is what will be the 5th bot, Ares or Shadow. If I go for Ares, Killshot will hold Jav6 and the MR8 from Guardian goes to Ares. If I go with Shadow, Killshot will have the MR8 and Shadow will have the Jav6. As for MD, it just looks ugly to me so sorry Koalabear. MD's design looks like a cat head with little feets below it but thats just me no offense to those who love MD or cats.

also the RG sounds like a squirt gun.... ãwhiskey tango foxtrotã My issue with the Railgun is that it's not a 「fluffernutter」ing Railgun. Railguns use elongated rails to electromagnetically supercharge the velocity of a projectile. IT'S IN THE NAME. RAIL. GUN. The Arc Torrent model would be more accurate to a Railgun if it were the length of a long arm.

Yeah like I said I simply can't imagine myself playin a thanos build just because of how it looks. Like Koala said it's very contradicting. It's the most hard-hitting weapon in the game and yet one of the shortest/smallest. Even if I decide to pay for this game I dont think i'll get an RG.
BTW a different question but what will happen to our accounts once the game is global lunched? Anybody know if we'll be able to keep it or we have to start from lvl0.

Shadow is a ton of fun, but it will take you a while and a lot of resources to bring it to its optimal level of R5. And, by the time you do, you'll be facing high level Juggs, which is the bane of the JR6 Shadow. When I run my Shadow, I always try to time it's drop so that I avoid tanks as much as possible.

I can't say for sure, but I would imagine that those of us who have put money and/or time into this game will not be reset... as it would cause a LOT of refunds through the play/Apple store unless they compensate us EXACTLY for what we already had... and even then, some folk may get the refund anyway. If they reset the division standing and the stats it may cause some grumbling, but I think most folk would deal with it.
But yeah, I doubt they would do it as that would cause a LOT of current players to be very upset.

If you didn't have the Jugg, I would say Ares without doubt as it really is a good mech and even though I know Juggs tends to get the nods, I really like it. That said, having two tanks is a preference, not a need, so choosing between it and the Shadow really should come down to what you want... they are both good mechs and I have seen players with maxed variants of both, kick some "META" 「bum-bum」.
I have both mechs leveled and enjoy playing both, personally, but I probably have more time with the Shadow in CPC, and with the Ares in Tourney.

there's no way they're gonna reset the divisions b/c then we're gonna run into div 10 ppl in tourney, unless they tweak their algorithm. they also said they wouldn't reset ppl's accounts upon global, but that promise was a while ago, but again I can't see them doing that.

I can't see them doing that too. Those of us who've been playing a while will become part of the "system". If everyone were shunted back down to the bottom, there would be no ranking infrastructure until people played it all through. That means, there would be no "experienced" players for newbies to emulate and no meta hangars for newbies to aspire to.
