The SB16/RM12 combo worked well on the Panther, but I actually like it better on the Paragon because of the "freeze/backup/drop" tactic. For those engagements below 46m, the Paragon's ability lets me sprint backwards pretty fast so that I can drop a load of rockets before the stasis wears off - also lets me back into cover faster too. I tend to corner shoot w it and then unload the “ fire from above”, works great. Hmmmm, this is interesting. 😁 I love my SB16 and have RM12.

Hi. About this topic, im currently at R4 terittory and about to transition to R5. Im running this setup. PantherLA8+LA10 GuardianMR8 AresPC8 KSJav6 Is switching to PantherPC8+SB16 a good idea? I plan to tranfer the LA to Ares and eventually make it my main sniper with 2xLA10. Side question is Deadeye IGN "Deadeye"? I always play against or with someone with this IGN. Doesnt look like an AI to me my IGN is MechThreme To add to what has been said... that build is definitely viable... and I ran it for a while. TL is better, for sure, but you won't be sitting there wishing you had something else with PC 8s, as long as you remember that neither weapon is a burst weapon and you are fine with getting as many assists as kills, if not more. Def follow the advice to r5 PC 8 though... that accuracy increase is necessary.

BTW, tried a... different... loadout on the Redox today for TDM...
Worked swimmingly in Fortune Towers. I focused on trying to slow down targets, and then hit with the MR. It wasn't super OP or anything... but I focused on Red Tanks that were already engaged as much as possible. Freeze, wear down the shield with the Beam, then hit with the MRs in the flanks. Totally support type attacks. I was happy with the results... so far. SB 16 is so damn versatile... and gives the MRs that much more flexibility at range. I dug it.
Side note... because I AM a tangent... Redox's ability worked out well on this map... too. There are several spots you can hang out in while weapons cool down, on that map, that allow you to hit multiple Reds with the ability, on a consistent basis. Slowing down and damaging multiple Reds at a time is good. Very good. Killing them is even better. In another game I got 4 kills with the ability in one use of it... all 4 reds were damaged already or were hit with something while my ability was still applying DoT and it took them out. Was neat.
I honestly didn't think I was going to find a way to use Redox... but I may have been wrong. I am going to keep testing this load-out, and other SB 16 hybrid load-outs, on Redox, and see where this goes. I am left with the distinct impression that this mech is going to be firmly in the Support column, for me.
