I really don't like the Zephyr's freeze and just stand there doing nothing ability. Very frustrating. So another mech with that ability is not a good thing imo. Fortunately I prefer fighting at longish range, with the exception of KS. I use KS at mid range with JRs. I like new stuff, but this new mechs ability just makes me give it a huge eyeroll. 🙄 I have reached a point where my next XP marker will unlock Zephyr, but with my style I doubt I will get it. And I'm sure you noticed, like you, I rarely dash with my Killshot I also play mid with the Jav6's.

I think we can be confident the new bot and weapon will be A coin currency, with the better bots and weapons costing A coins then add to that upgrading costs and then nerfing the A coin rewards everyone is A coin poor.A perfect environment to charge money for a currency you earn very little of in game.
As I have said before every bot and weapon in my hanger is stuck on level upgrading, thousands of A coins required just to carry on progressing which has caused stagnation. Its that bad I spent £20 for an A coin pck over the weekend just to upgrade my MR 8's just so I can start upgrading something.
So bringing out new items in a currency I have nothing of doesn't fill me with excitement.

I fell for the whole "freeze and kill" thing and ran Zephyr for a while, but I've eventually shelved it in favour of putting my Guardian back in the game. Now, I will only put the Zephyr back if I get those "spawn Zephyr" tasks.

So, I just reinstalled War Robots out of curiosity to see how things are. After about a million ads, I managed to play a Skirmish game. It felt like I was walking through water the whole time. Is the game really this slow? It doesn't seem slow when I watch vids. Is it my phone? Or is it just my perception now that I'm used to a faster game like MA?

A few fellows were trying to tempt me with six pack games and I considered reinstalling, that lasted about 30 sec.

Depends on your phone's specs,I believe the new reworked version is very hardware intensive. I still watch Islanders YT videos and his games seem fairly fast paced.

I think I described it as "sluggish." Was like I took 2 doses of NyQuil and tried to run an obstacle course in a ball pit.

I'm sure a lot has changed since you uninstalled it. I also bet you 99% of the new things are just new layers of P2W crap on top of the babushka doll of bull「dookie」 that War Robots is

I think it's the engine... but IDK for sure... MA just feels smoooooth. Polished. Like a Console Game in performance... War Robots seems like a PC game I don't have the right gear to play, even when playing it on a newer device. It's not the game's performance per se, it's the actual mechanics of the game's movement that I was just...
IDK... not easy to explain.

Sure, it's a few years old now, but still has a decent CPU and 6GB of RAM. It still does everything I need it to do, and it's the first phone that hasn't had me pining for a new one after my 2 year contract was up.

IDK... not easy to explain. War Robots has always been pretty bad at even attempting to simulate physics. The hitboxes have always been jank, and has always caused ridiculous clipping and collision issues. Nothing has changed from the days of a single pixel of the Cossack's unarmed side getting stuck on invisible collision boundaries in the environment. The movement of the mechs has always looked like wind-up toys, with the chassis suspended perfectly where it is on the screen, while the leg animations never seemed to even attempt lining up with the distance traveled. Fast mechs slide like they're on an invisible bicycle, and slow mechs look like they're running in place. The mechs have never moved in a way where they feel like they have any weight or presence in the world they exist in. Jumps hang in the air forever, camera movements are never really perfectly synced to tower rotation. The sound effects for all of the different weapons and abilities are generic sci-fi noises that barely line up with the ammunition and firing type of the weapons. Hitbox size and shape doesn't matter. Every mech uses the same animation rig, with the only difference being the scale. In comparison, BoT is permanently jank on anything smaller than a tablet because it's actually physics based. Because it's actually physics based, the mech movements adjust and line up with their traversal of the environment, as well as react as expected when hit with giant explosions and heavy duty ammunition. Every section of a mech has health, and weapons popping off are based on the health of the weapon, rather than some random RNG. In MA, the camera only de-syncs when slowed or stunned. Mechs bounce when they walk. Hitbox sizes actually matter for EVERY category of weapons. Mechs walk/run animations line up with the distances they traverse, even with sprint and boost. Every model seems to have it's own animation rig, so all of the different leg shapes between the mechs have appropriate animations. That about sum it up?
