I’m deeply saddened to learn that Sabine Schmitz, queen of the Nurburgring, has passed away at the age of only 51 after a lengthy battle with cancer. I loved her segments on Top Gear and just marveled at her driving prowess and command of any and every vehicle she stepped into. RIP, sweet lady.

Well said. Some of my favorite episodes of Top Gear featured Sabine. She was an amazing talent behind the wheel and always brought charisma to whatever she did. Frau Schmitz will be missed.

Like others, I had no exposure to her other than on Top Gear. I'm sorry to read of her death. She seemed nice and was certainly a talented driver.
