My Nodens is my primary Titan. I also have an Arthur (41), Minos (90), and Kid (4) for whatever that's worth.
Your Nodens is a healer first and damage dealer second. You need to play him as such. The healing ability has a 600m range on it. It can be quite helpful once leveled up, but the targeting is awful. Unlike damage targeting, you don't have the ability to cycle through targets so expect to be victimized by people moving between you and your preferred healing target. You need to move yourself around to be able to target whomever you want for healing. As you heal your target, you get healed, too. You also get a buff to your defense for each healing tether you have going at once. While it's tempting to keep healing people, you also want to keep an eye out on who may want to attack you so you can pop off heals (with a small cooldown between them) to both increase healing as well as your defensive survivability.
You also have the Disposal ability which does an AOE damage suppression vs the target Red. It lowers the damage by all in the AOE by 50% for the duration of the effect. It has a range of 600m*.
General rule of thumb is to upgrade your Hull and Core first since you're trying to heal people as your primary goal. That's where the Core comes in. It also helps you bypass defense vs your target. The Hull upgrade is pure survivability. Engine upgrades are useful, but since you're working to plan ahead your positioning should be coming via advance planning since you're very much in a support role. That isn't to say that you can't do very good damage, but your best attribute is the ability to heal others. You may think that's no big deal, but this can really be hugely beneficial when you're healing Titans (who should be your primary target, by the way). This gets really cool as your Core gets upgraded more and more.
As far as dealing damage, many people are perfectly happy just using the stock machine guns (Retaliators). I use them and am one of those happy customers.
* Full disclosure: I originally said this was 500m. I was corrected down below. Correcting here to not confuse people who don't know better (like me). Cheers go red.

Thanks for comprehensive write up. On its healing, how good is it, overall in relation to a nightingale?
It's the only healer I've ever used.

It's probably cheaper to buy that and sell the bot and weapons for silver than it is to actually buy silver.................

Nice write up! This pretty much sums up how one should play with a Noden. Some extra notes: - The Disposal ability is also 600m - I always go face to face with another Titan by: 1) Make sure they are within 500m and not using Dragoon 2) GTFO from hiding 3) "Disposal" the other Titan 4) Shoot the hell out of it for around 5s (time for Disposal effect) 5) continue to shoot if you have ammo and the other guy is low on health otherwise back to hiding

Thanks for comprehensive write up. On its healing, how good is it, overall in relation to a nightingale? It's the only healer I've ever used. It works completely differently than Nightingale. I don't have one so I'll speak to what's in the Wiki. According to the wiki, at 2/12 it heals 10,572 health/sec during flight (18 sec). That's a max of 190,296 health healed per target within the Nightingale's healing cone.
At max heal level, a Nodens heals 5% of a mech's health over the duration of the Active Support Beam (7s). So if you're healing a max-level Kid, for example, you're healing 32,100 health over the duration of that 7s. If you project that over 18sec (82,542) it's a lot less than you'd be doing vs the Nightingale. The thing is you can also have 3 beams going at once. So if there were three max level Kids floating within the 1200m range you could project (600m radius from you), that could be as much as 247,628. That's unlikely.
Your Nightingale would be better as a pure healer vs a single target (or whatever is within the cone) at one time. You can also do a better job suppressing damage.
With a Nodens, though, you can heal three targets over a large area simultaneously. You also can suppress targets over an AoE without even seeing them. And you do A LOT MORE damage than a Nightingale. And unlike the other Titans he isn't dependent on others to stay upright.
But remember, they're not mutually exclusive. One is a Titan and the other is a regular mech.
Nice write up! This pretty much sums up how one should play with a Noden. Some extra notes: - The Disposal ability is also 600m - I always go face to face with another Titan by: 1) Make sure they are within 500m and not using Dragoon 2) GTFO from hiding 3) "Disposal" the other Titan 4) Shoot the hell out of it for around 5s (time for Disposal effect) 5) continue to shoot if you have ammo and the other guy is low on health otherwise back to hiding Ah, you're right about the Disposal distance. Nice catch. I agree about dealing with the Titans.

Noodles costs 1,000 Pt to buy in store...a heck of a lot more than buying 5,10M Ag, lol. Selling is the worst thing to do....take it from the poster child of how not to manage content, me.

So you definetly do NOT want to sell that baby.

Do I sell it? I have 2 Minos and a aoming and kid. My kid is the most advanced tho... How do i play this guy? I always die so fast. Sell 1 Minos and keep the Noodles. I play a base level Noodles in my LR FU hangar. With suppression, 3 healing beams and decent speed, it is the most engaging Titan to play and I almost went all in on it before I won Minos. I was just about to invest a chunk of Pt into it when Pix introduced the OxMinos. Now I’ll wait to see if they introduce a Ltd Noodles before I invest. It is a fun Titan, but imo only Arty works well out of the box, all other Titans really need to leveled up to compete.

Granted I think Kid is the best brawling Titan, Ming is garbage. But Noodens is a good one to have and upgrade. I'm always thrilled to see one (or a few lol) on my team when I'm in my Kid.

If a single nodens behind them is a must to kill it or my kid gonna just get bust up like it never come to play. I run into single nodens sometimes. Yo. The way my kid EAT them other titan mi just KNOW nodens gonna be snack time right? So why the nodens kill my kid after me bang up with him 3 and four round of me hit him full clip reload and hit him again? My turn for revenge kill that blasted bugger. Coming in my exo falcon now (like yeah. NOW mi gonna kill him right? Little dog brain it give me lol) Until mi see him and him hp almost half? geeee zusss chryste So yeah mi finish match thinking that will never happen again. Until it happen to me almost every time mi see that same guy with that damn nodens. lol edit: as soon as I find out how to kill it and win I gon sure come back and say. lol

Still unclear about how much Ag you could get, but my advice: Don’t be me and sell stuff. Regrets are expensive, and many, many have I.

Def sell the weapons and mods if you don't need them. I find it the most fun Titan to play. I like playing team work support style. Heal, suppress and a bit of shooting.
