Anyone run a five star one? If so what are your thoughts? And what are ya running?
I’m sitting at 4.7 w almost enough A-coins to move it up. I was considering moving up before my killshot which is 4.6. I know that’s not the typical route but given the pace of the game and firepower of the AI, it’s nice being able to tank some damage if need be. The jump to five stars gives me around a 10k larger total health pool.
It’s an ugly bot and I loved fast moble bot in that other game ( my raven) but for some reason I dig running that slow cue ball looking thing.

I'm at R4.6 myself. I've kinda shelved mine in favour of ranking up my Guardian. I like the Jugg better than the Ares and would run the Jugg over it. A ranked up Jugg with its shield on has almost the same HP as a Brickhouse, with the advantage that the shield regenerates. Jugg and Brickhouse also have the same energy capacity, so Jugg has better defense overall and the Brickhouse has better offense thanks to this ability.
I'm not fond of tanks in general, but I think that if you rank up your Jugg and have 18EN, probably the best load out would be CB8 and CB10. Jugg really benefits from sustained damage types of weapons cause it's got the stamina to go toe to toe with just about anything. Just don't get ganged up by more than one red at a time.
I've even tried the Jugg as a sniper and it's decent in this role too thanks to it's shield. It's slow speed actually benefits the Jugg in this scenario cause it's easier to hit while moving.
If I ever rank up my Jugg, I might try CB10 with MR8 combo. That sound like it would be a great fit.

rank 5 juggy also works well as a sniper

I'm gonna try it as a sniper tonight for that silly Long Arms dealio we have been given. I really don't care to place it in that role, however I do suspect it will be effective. I remember playing a couple of tourney matches against a red who finished close to the top each game.
After reading the TL thread I may go the Carb 12 TL 6 route, we will see. I really kind of envision it fitting into the " none shall pass" role.

Mine is still R4 with R4 PC8s, not sure if I'll go to R5 in the near future, so many other priorities

My Jugg was rank 3, didnt use him much. But lately I use him more so just now made him rank 4.2.

Well I did it. Man, that sucker is hard to kill. It’s kind of comical. I can hold down a spot and keep a flank clear for ages. Or can power to a beacon if need be. I’m running a CB10 and a PC8, they seem to work fine together.

Well I did it. Man, that sucker is hard to kill. It’s kind of comical. I can hold down a spot and keep a flank clear for ages. Or can power to a beacon if need be. I’m running a CB10 and a PC8, they seem to work fine together. This is where I think I’m gonna go next, too. My Juggy with carbines absolutely owns the new map, and between that and what you’re saying here, it should be a great mid-game tank on any map. I just upgraded it to 4.7, so it’s knocking at the door. I’ve got the a-coins to go to R5, but I’m thinking of getting a carbine 10 first, so I can use it now with a TL6 until I do rank up the Jug. I couldn’t decide on getting the carb 10 or carb 12 next (still a long road for that), until this thing started kicking arse on the carrier map today, and that kind of made up my mind. After that I’ll probably work on getting the javs up to R6, but right now I think the Juggy will be getting some love. Edit: f*** it, I just ranked it up to R5. Carb 10 will have to wait a little longer. |
