Never knew about this game until today. It must have been recently released. Already it has a million downloads and a 4.4 star rating.
Team vs. Team arena using customized craft. Build your own robot, tank, jet, crawler, rover, hover, whatever.
Kind of like a Minecraft wtih a PvP aspect?

Some more videos.
You can make and play your own robot, but you can also design and play something else.

Mech build.
Damage is section by section, you take apart your target piece by piece. You cannot truly claim a kill until you destroy your opponent's core module. The core module can still escape and reconstitute the entire mech.

Here is a mode that's like a battle royale. You pick a mech, gather as many parts as you can. Your generic mech gradually upgrades and transforms based on the parts you gathered.
This video shows you the beginner's battles.

Looks interesting and I was going to try it but see that they scrape your Contact Info (name, email, phone number!). So I’m passing for now until I find a way to disable that. Also going through all my other apps to see what they scrape.

If you bind your account to Google Play it only gets the information Google Play allows it so, and no different from any other game.
Starting from the beginners, its already a bit intense. Other than the tutorials, you don't face bots immediately but other people, other beginners trying to learn the stuff.
It is different from other games because there is a strong melee element to it.
My impressions of it is that the combat is quite polished, the animations and machinations are both cute and humorous. There is something very spider like in the way the mechs move that you don't feel with the quad mechs in War Robots or BoT.
The color palette of the game is full of bright pastels. It is reminiscent of Super Mecha Champions.
I am worried about the missiles in the game, they seem overpowered.

Forgive the tangent, but while that is a problem with most, if not all, games... it is a pretty true reflection of real life. I know games like to blur the lines between realism and fun... but it is DAMNED hard to do so with lock-on munitions.
Does the game have decent countermeasures? Flares or Chaff? Or some sort of ECM to stop the lock? Just curious...
What's your opinion? Should there be weak Lock-On munitions or strong countermeasures to bring a balance to those aspects in mechanized combat games?

Any community feedback yet? I'm going to take a look and will chime in later.
Ok, in hangar GUI is very similar to SMC. Very deep and complex.

Ok, first impressions...
The hangar GUI is similar to SMC, almost exactly, and I think it's by the same company, Netease. Personally, I find too complex, with way too many things I need to touch or click on to update and get rid of all those annoying exclamation marks. That was one of the reasons I quit SMC. It feels like there's a ton of different types of currency and I can't for the life of me figure out what most of it is for - just like SMC.
Game play mechanics in the tutorial shows promise. You have full camera motion and the guns auto fire. I'm actually stuck on one of the tutorial stages where you're supposed to modify your bot in order to hit something.
I think the game has incredible depth and will appeal to those who like to build and customize their bots to the extreme. It's like a Lego game and you literally can build your bot to look like anything - if you have the parts that is - and I get the feeling that in order to build those cool looking spaceships and Gundam type of bots, you'll need a ton of "special" parts that will be super hard to get or you can spend money on them.
I only played a bit, but then got stuck on the tutorial of all things, and now I keep getting booted out due to lost connection, so hopefully others here will try and hopefully report more success. It does look interesting, but right now, it's a bit too complex for my taste. I just want to shoot some reds.

As in War Robots would be complex too. Or are you saying this game is way more complex in comparison to War Robots.

I am not sure if the missile are lock on, but the cruise missile is player guided, similar to anti-tank missile. You need to continually lock on the target by hand. The problem is the missiles will go around obstacles to hunt down your core module as your core tries to escape jumping around and hiding behind obstacles.

As in War Robots would be complex too. Or are you saying this game is way more complex in comparison to War Robots. I expect robot games to be intrinsically complex. Try Armored Core, or Robocraft, or Mechwarrior. Or perhaps the greatest mech game of them all, Chromehounds. If you want an easier way out, try some of the default templates. They are still pretty good and can teach you some things. I took one of the default templates, modified it, and got badly swatted. But when I returned the template back to its original design, studied closely how its used, I made 20 kills on one game. Unlike other mech games, this game does not reward boating. By boating I mean loading the mech with the same weapon or similar weapons with the same range and characteristic. So you have a laser boat or a missile boat or a machinegun boat. A boat does one thing very good but bad at everything else. That's exactly why I failed in my first build. But when I resort to the given templates, I did much better with one because it was a balanced design --- it had shields, it had a direct fire weapon which is a machine gun, it has mortars for AOE, and it has a pair of power saws to cut up the enemy. It looks like a blend of forklift and spider mech with a machine gun and a mortar on top. So I use the build by using the machineguns and mortars to deeply damage the opponent and wreck their shields, then charge with my power saws and afterburner to shred their core module before it runs away to repair. You might see all the fancy Gundam builds, but cool fancy appearance does not equate to a lean mean killing machine. When you build a robot like this, it does not walk with its two legs. Instead, the tiny toes on its feet are the ones that is moving the robot forward by animating like tiny spiders.

My problem with shooter games in mobile is that people run them on Blue Stacks in PC and using a mouse they have a strong advantage in sniping. That's my main reason for leaving SMC. Its also an issue with games like COD and PUBG mobile. Lately some of these games are detecting emulators and rendering the game incompatible with emulators. Once the game is emulated on a PC, I don't know how you can stop it from auto aim hacks.
The cruise or koi missile, call it a koi missile because its shaped like a koi, is player controlled and aimed, with the viewpoint shifting to the missile's head like a real life ATGM. You see it in operation somewhere in this video. Even without auto aim hacks, its overpowered, even more if the player has access to a mouse or game controller.

Is it possible the complexity issue is for a new player? As in War Robots would be complex too. Or are you saying this game is way more complex in comparison to War Robots. The hangar has tons of sub menus scattered around, and like SMC, they all have an exclamation mark to get you to go into them to claim whatever ingame currency is there. It's all very confusing. I did finish the tutorial, except for that last one where you had to build a car and drive it on an elevated road and shoot clocks to extend your time. I keep driving off the road. Driving that needs precision control is not suited for a phone IMO. I tried a match. I had to build my mech from scratch so I just built a basic one with 4 legs and 2 machine guns. Game play was decent and similar to other robot games, and the thing that is different is building your mech from scratch and then driving it. It's very immersive from that perspective. I think if it were a console game, I'd love it more, or if I had time to really spend in a game, I would love it. But, these days, I just don't have the time. Plus, I think - and don't quote me cause I might be wrong - but I think it's very draining on battery. I could have sworn I had near full charge when I started playing and then after about 20m of playing, I was down to 60%. I do like it better than SMC. The tutorials actually had a female voice telling you what you had to do. There were 24 tutorials, which is a lot, but each on is geared towards showing you a different weapon/gear in the game.

I think this game might have a better chance than SMC. SMC suffered because the game competed against other battle royales and it didn't help when a whole bunch of other battle royales are also NetEase's, such as CyberHunter, Knives Out, Rules of Survival, Creative Destruction and so on. Astracraft is different and feels somewhere between Robocraft and Crossout, and not being a typical shooter or battle royale game is a big one up for the game.
I was also playing EVE Echoes, which also happens to be another NetEase game. But the game is proving to be a serious drag in time. A high end mission can take nearly an hour to complete.
