Recently I got a Frozen Leech from the 100 Coin Event Chest (Special Prize.)
I'm a bit unfamiliar with the Leech's mechanics, so some tips will be appreciated.

I wrote this a while ago when Leech was top meta, but I think it still mostly applies:

Pre remastered, but hopefully helpful. I’ve transitioned away from my leech, but could go back to it in a heartbeat. Several videos with leech gameplay that I’d hope would be beneficial if you’re interested

I'm running mine again just for fun and finding it not too bad in the current meta.
I highly suggest running a ECU shield on one of the med slots. That still gives you 3 mediums to dish out decent damage. The shield (if maxed which is cheap to do) will hold up to one or two direct blasts from a hawk. With all the hawks out there, you should look into it. Run "knights errand" pilot skill to boost the shield hp even more.
I run scourges which allows me to hang back a tad and play mid-ranger. Of course you can use something like cryos or igniters but don't expect him to last if it's sub 300m while you run it.

Some day I’ll Leech. One of a handful I never got.
Good luck to the OP. I’ll live vicariously through your exploits.

I'm a bit unfamiliar with the Leech's mechanics, so some tips will be appreciated. You asked for tips: The Leech beam really is a problem for the reds. Use it wisely and regularly. If you are in trouble and you hit the ability button but you aren't leeched on to somebody you still have the damage resistance. A common tactic is to leech on to one player and to attack a different player. The most PitA Leech players will be in cover, dash out, do all kinds of damage while leeching and dash back in to cover. Counters to Leech: Hawk, Scorpion, all Titans. The Leech beam offers no protection against weapons that ignore Damage Resistance (DR.) Hawk's beam, all Titan weapons. It's a little hard to take/hold a beacon with a Leech. Plan accordingly. Make sure your pilot skills line-up with your weapon needs. Also, the skills need to line up with when you usually drop the bot. Early-ish or late-ish. If you're dropping your 5th bot it may be because the blues are struggling and therefore a good place to run "Adamant" skills. The Leech I'm running is 2 x Heavy Armor Kit, 1 x Last Stand, Adrian, Advanced Heal, 4 x Pulsars, a drone that emphasizes lockdown and suppression. I drop it later and it can be a peek-a-boo Problem for Ao Mings. It hits hard from 600m. if you're on a budget don't invest heavily on your new build until Pix has their round of developer interviews on what's coming next. Feb "may" see some rebalancing and tweaks that might upset your plans. You're probably mostly safe to bring any Bot/Weapon to level 1.9.

I'm a bit unfamiliar with the Leech's mechanics, so some tips will be appreciated. Run Wasps or Pulsars on it. Catch Hawks when they inevitably land somewhere stupid and exposed. Wouldn't recommend anything else. Scourges maybe if you have to. Too many Hawks around to ruin your day. Save your ability for when a Scorpion somehow gets into range and comes to give you a prison hello. You can activate your ability even with no target (for those Ash Scorpions) for the damage resistance. You can also re-lock your ability when you lock onto nobody, so lock onto the Scorp after it comes out of stealth to dissuade it from continuing to go for your butthole

I won the frozen Leech as well. Only at level 4 with 4 x scourges all L1, 10, 10, 8, 6 I killed a hydra something or other, couldn't tell what it was hiding on the platform area at the dam end on Springfield. Another Leech player pummeled me with something, sure it ended up killing me, but the sheer satisfaction of seeing the repulse kill that player was pure joy. Will I play it, not sure.... It took my Pursuer out of the line-up. Hmmph....
