Not liking these nerfs at all...
But really hate the guy who goes to sleep after I do and plays that one game more than me to snag first place!

Not liking these nerfs at all... But really hate the guy who goes to sleep after I do and plays that one game more than me to snag first place! Yeah, especially with the increasingly narrow gap between earning something and nothing. Bad enough they keep cutting the something in half. And now, like another game we all know and love, you have a group of players who have the advantage of having progressed under the old bountiful rewards now miles ahead of the newer players whose progression time has now more than doubled. I don’t understand the point of all this, though as much as I don’t like it, I will say that I dislike it a LOT less than if they decided to start randomly nerfing mechs and weapons that most players have built their hangars around. But as far as the tournament nerfs go, I don’t know about anybody else, but for me it’s at the point where if I see 3 players in my bracket running away with the top 3 spots, it’s not even worth wasting any more time in that day’s tournament. Perhaps this is how they’re trying to discourage players from ‘managing’ their division ranking in CPC?

Well, in the long run, things like this will only hurt them. I've already curbed my spending with the Prodigy Crate nerf. Why would I continue to buy something that is now worth less but costs the same? With the Tournament nerfs, I'll end up playing less Tournament and trying so hard and let myself get demoted away from all the Try Hards who fight for the top positions.
But, gotta admit, CPC is getting fun for me. I'm losing more often but the games are getting more challenging with many games going down to the wire. I'm good with my hangar too. I've stopped pushing myself to get weapons like the CB8. Instead, I'm going to focus my resources on upgrading my mechs to R5. My Jugg is my next priority.

I'm thinking the same as Danny, as far as bracket managing. I'm guessing they're doing thins because they're seeing higher leveled players hanging in professional, rather than moving up brackets. I see this as a plus for newer players, whose hangars are not as leveled. Of course, I could be overly optimistic...

they need to figure out ways to distribute acoins in CPC games, TDM gets mundane

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of staying in professional. You can drop brackets twice, meaning you can club in professional 3x. By reducing the rewards, less of that happens. That's my thinking.
Edit: I realized that I should probably illustrate this...
Day 1: novice, move up bracket Day 2: professional, move up bracket Day 3: expert, finish 15-20, move down bracket Day 4: professional, move up bracket Day 5: expert, finish 15-20, move down bracket Day 6: professional.
If you finished 1st each time in professional, you used to net 900 a-coins. Not anymore.

If you finished 1st each time in professional, you used to net 900 a-coins. Not anymore. Problem there is, professional is also what people that go the whole 9 yards use as a stepping stone to top off their tickets going into expert+. Now, running out of tickets and coins, or being a new player just getting into it, tickets are less plentiful, so newer players have even less of a chance of competing in Expert, which depreciates how they can perform in master et cetera. It doesn't change tanking. Managing division is what actually hurts people. There are less people in the low brackets later on in the week. Tanking, as in dropping to CpC division rank 4, means even though people facing appropriately leveled AI are getting choked on early coins and tickets, the person in division 4 with a 1500+ hangar is still getting 4-500 points a ticket. This just makes it harder for people flying the straight and narrow to compete with those abusing the system.

they need to figure out ways to distribute acoins in CPC games, TDM gets mundane With victory(gold) crates literally being non-refillable, and a maximum of 3 per day (15 gold tokens in each mode except monday) the gold crates should have 20-50 coins instead of 0-9.

I’ve been getting lumped in w people that have 330k or more experience since the switch. I don’t know if its something else they have tweaked but I have almost no shot to win when they are in my heat. I’ve never seen someone that has capped out exp up till now. To add insult to injury, it’s pretty frigging annoying when you are leading and you run into bots on the opposite team that have double your hanger strength right before the tournament ends and one of those 330 plus jack-legs is hunting you down for first spot. Blahhhhhhhhhhb. That crap happened two times last week. I couldn’t score over 100 w in 20 mins of the end, they jump ahead to take number one. Double blahhhhhhh.

Now this is getting ridiculous. Every tournament round this week I’ve had someone in my heat that has maxed exp. They keep running me down at the very end of the heat. I’ve never seen one of these accounts prior to the changes and now they are everywhere. What the?

I gave up trying to do well in tournament as I just don't have the time or patience to grind out the amount of games needed to get anywhere near the level needed for a decent reward,on top of that the recent A coin nerf for top spot,I just play to win the gold tokens and take whatever winnings for wherever I end up in the rankings.

What’s the best time of day to start a tourney, or does it matter at all?
I tend to start in the evening so I don’t feel that I have to grind periodically during the day to keep my place. Didn’t seem to work last night though.

Didn’t seem to work last night though. I don’t think there is a best time any more, with more and more real players in the game. Best I’ve been able to do now is 2nd or 3rd, some days much worse. I went a stretch a few weeks back staying up til 1 am making sure I held 1st place in my bracket, and it totally hosed my sleep schedule - after playing hard that late, I could never get to sleep, so then during the day I was even more useless than usual. So I stopped doing that, but now every night there’s somebody running me down from the top spot - if I can even reach the top spot any more. I don’t have the time (or the desire) to play this stupid game that much to beat these no-lifers, especially with the rewards being nerfed so hard.

So I can play at 1am etc. Recently I played what I think were mostlt players from India. And I wrecked them. Totaled lots of points in several tourney matches and went to sleep. They never appeared again iirc. Might have been in Novice or the next level up. T

Didn’t seem to work last night though. I normally start later in the afternoon. Less frustration that way. Seems like 3/4's of the competition are going for a loss and not putting up huge numbers.

Goddammit to holy 「fluffernutter」ing hell. I made the mistake of getting myself and my mighty 447-strength hangar promoted to Master. MM is just totally 「fluffernutter」ing whacked today. My 447 hangar is now facing all 1200-1500+ enemies and teammates. Like I have a prayer in hell of keeping up. I’ve sent several screenies along with scathing commentary to in-game support, who assures me the developers are constantly working on making the matchmaker fair. Bull「dookie」. Unfortunately I’m still doing just well enough to probably get pushed up a bracket tomorrow, which means the best I can possibly do by Sunday is still Masters. Idiot I am.

Facing much bigger Juggs, Killshot’s and Panthers.
