I did look at some older threads but I'm not sure I understand.
Is this still all accurate information?
If I do well in qualification matches after the end of the season, will I be placed in a higher league than I am/was in? ...And if I get pitted against a bunch of champion level guys and have my butt handed to me, will I end up back in bronze?

You will get a small Au bonus for the league you are in when the season ends. You will have 5 qualification matches. At the end of those 5 matches, your league points will determine your league. If it's below your current league, you'll be placed in the lower league but you will be able to qualify again as soon as you achieve the lower range of the next league.

More resources: More honor, oxp, Au, Ag and Keys per battle. More Ag in Supply Drops and better and greater number of components, Ag, PCs and boosters in Battle Rewards crates.

Are the ratings points that determine my league also what helps determine my clans' rank?

They're accrued in the same way, but I believe the metrics are different. After you complete a match, you can see the separate sections in the match summary.
