  Shortly after acquiring him, I always started War Robots with my Phanton. Fast enough and Tanky enough to stand and fight, but could tag out if it got too brutal. I wanted my first bot out of the hanger to be "Kill Shot" but the problem is I $u<k! He is great for capping beacons, but i take too long to get him lined up to use his ability....and quickly die. Panther seems just about fast enough for me, and at least for now he can take a hit. I have run him both ways, but what do you believe is the best setup? |

Your best setup will be when you rank him up again and can really load him up with 16 EN weapons. The MR8s and PC8s are the real killers on this mech. Also, LA builds are super dangerous and deadly. Whatever you can put on him, it usually works though.
But since you asked about the 2 shown above, the Jav6s are the only EN 6 weapons I'm still using, so I would have to go with them. I have them on my KS, but they are amazing.

Deadeye is right on the money. Javs will go end game and will work just fine on the Panther. Plasma won't go end game on any bot... however, in early games... say 750 SP or less competition, Plasma Panther was a beast, iirc. Against low ranked Jugs it would eat the shield and then take chunks off their HP in one cycle. That won't last, even with Rank Ups. Plasma really needs a better Rank Up reward that increases its usefulness for end-game.

Thanks guys....on a slightly different note
1) Do you come to a point on this game where when you buy weapons you only get 1 weapon and not 2?
It seems to me that i seen this somewhere, but I i currently cannot find it.
2) If so, when does it happen?

Once you upgrade it to R6, you get the second copy. |

Oh, and on the Panther, I prefer RPG6 as that weapon has excellent range options and works really well when I use Panther for hit and duck back types of attacks. I've tried KS with a variety of builds, heck even RM8/Jav6 (which really sucked for me) and I keep coming back to Jav6 on the KS because of the KS's superior mobility and agility. Using horizontal targeting to get the target lock works wonders, but I don't like switching my controls in mid game so I just suck it up and use manual target switching as much as possible. It means a lot of missed shots, but oh well.
