I think most admins here are also heading up the war robots discord. So why don't you incorporate the discord into this forum with a widget? You can have the discord link showing members online at the bottom of the pages here on the forum. Personal I have always felt forums were a better resource for searchable information. When compared to Facebook groups & discord chats. So linking them offers a broader range of possibilities. I've noticed the menu system on the wiki is getting harder to navigate. Often I can't find certain bot or weapon in the menu navigation. I have to use Google to search the wiki vs being able to find the correct link within the wiki pages menu structure. Here is an example where dragoon is missing in this list. Its on the site. Just missing in some of the navigational links. I realize its hard to keep all this info up to date though. Creating & managing pages can become challenging. I've had my share if it in earlier years. Im just making mention of a couple if things to help. I do appreciate the wiki pages. For years of playing its been nice to have a place like that to go look up info. Its by far better than asking people for opinionated help.  |

I always thought the were three completely autonomous resources. The War Robots Discord is sponsored/ supported by PIXO, the Wiki is a volunteer page which is not run by PIXO and the Forum is also volunteer run with no connection to PIXO either. If they were run by the same groups, I’m sure they’d be connected by now.

Speaking solely for myself, nobody has made overtures to me in any capacity to help with the Discord or Reddit stuff. TBH, I'm not aware of any of the mods here helping with the official War Robots Discord, but then again I don't live and breathe on-line so I may have missed that.
The mods from this forum do have our own Discord but it's just a way to communicate and have virtual coffee/beer together. It's fairly quiet actually.
Please don't forget moderating this forum is an unpaid gig and comes from a passion for this crazy game. When Pix nerfs gear they nerf my stuff too...
BTW, I like the wiki pages myself but I don't go there all that often. Man, if they strive for 100% accuracy all the time, they must be prety busy with Pix changing stuff every 30 seconds...

Fun fact, this forum started on the WIKI, before WIKI changed their forum system, which is what prompted the admins at the time ( ShutUpAndSmokeMyWeed and Strayed, plus maybe a few more?) to come over to Pro Boards. I started on the WIKI forum, followed everyone here, while still a noob, and then joined the WIKITTENS clan, which was an offshoot/feeder clan of the original WIKI clan that sprung from the site and the forum.
AND... for a minute, we did have a bit of an official tie-in with Pixo... but it was around the time that Fail.FU got involved (or maybe when they really spun up their nonesense, not 100 on the timeline) when that fell apart. Too much criticism here. Their Website (warrobots.net or w/e it is) used to have comments and a little mini-forum, but I am fairly certain the negativity was too much. Now it's Reddit, FB, and YT for anything with official ties.
We just keep on keepin' on, even when playing different games lol.

Wasn't superhero from the forums here & the administration for a good while? Looks like he is here on the War Robots discord too moderating it. So there is a bit of an affiliation. Like I said. The wiki & the forum have ties. Seems to have ties to the War Robots discord too. It was only a friendly suggestion anyways. It wasn't meant to mean you guys work for pixo or something else. At one point I offered to host a vbulletin board for the community here years back. To get rid of the adds on the site for everyone. I even made a dot com for this forum to have an easy address too. But it was too much trouble to move the user database over to another server. So the whole idea got sc「grape」 & I wasted money getting that setup for everyone. No biggie. The forum used to be a really fun friendly place years back too.  |
