So I was battling with this guy with the name ninja in the tournament and was surprised to see him come in last place on the red side with so many kills. Why did he only score a one?

Might have been reported as a cheater and/or tanker. since when did plarium take actions against tankers? It's been the hot topic on the discord. Most of the folks on discord either have youtube channels or chumped up cash for their right to complain. With how stingy the game already is with rewards, I would peg stopping people from getting more for less is a top priority.

I have seen that before. Did the player quit before the match? I have quit in the middle of a tourney match due to IRL issues. I was given a 1. Had a guy score really good a few nights ago. We both won a match. Third match his bot just sat in the back and never moved. He may have disconnected or may have had to quit. Anyway, he got a 1 and was top killer and only non-AI on his side.

Huh... that almost doesn't make sense... it's not like you have to tank matches in Tourney to drop a bracket... MUCH easier to do than that. Wonder what their reasoning is if that's the idea behind it?

I've quit in the middle of tourney matches a bunch of times to jump into another one just before a heat ends to boost my chances of getting #1. I was ranked appropriately on my team in all those cases.

I only know what I have personally witnessed, but as you say my man.... YMMV

He didn't quit the match early. In fact, I was kind of battling him the whole time.... It went three rounds. It was one of those games where it seemed like me and him were the only non-AI players and we were targeting each other. Was thinking it was maybe a MA version of LPQ.

I know it was mentioned he was in the whole match, but I've seen this exact thing, had to drop due to a call and got 1 point for it even with more kills than that.

Low points, I'd guess. Kill 11 bots with a thread of health left might not be worth much.

Yeah, he could have dropped out late in that 3rd round and I didn't notice. I didn't have a bead on him the whole time. He was definitely there for all three rounds, though.

Which, if it was obvious he wasn't tanking the match, just underscores what I said above... doesn't make sense to penalize someone for DCs.
I hope that is just what we see, like our client doesn't have the info back from theirs by the time the results screen appears for us, and thus displays a placeholder score for the person that DC-ed, and they actually do get the rewards they deserve once they log back in.
