As you can see i was a fan of healing bots. I ran Tyr and Nightingale almost every game. Is the MA healing bot any good or just a gimmick? What weapons package should i outfit her with if i get it?

In and of itself MD is an effective bot with rpgs or other weapons. It heals itself as well as teammates. And it hits harder than you might think. I dont use it much because Shadow is so much fun and Killshot is faster for cpc. But if you dont have Shadow then pit in MD maybe. I do appreciate it when an MD heals my much abused bot. I may run it more to pay it forward. Plus I got that cool MD medic skin. :-D Edit: M.D. skin pics.

I'm no expert... BUT... I do run one somewhat regularly. I haven't leveled it past En8 though... but I will, eventually. From my experience fighting them, the latter ranks on this bot, say... R4+, are pretty tanky (in conjunction with the heals). BUT, if you heal, you really are supposed to be a support bot in this game... if you come under fire it will disrupt the healing.
Solo play...? Prolly not.
With a couple of Tanks or Attackers to follow? Hell yes. MDs heal your Blues 2x as much (I think... I know it's more just not 100 on the amount) as they self heal... one more thing to add to the support theme. Weapons? Jav 4s while it's En8, Jav 4 + Jav 6 while En10... and then dual Jav 6 while En 12. I choose Javs because they are the best indirect weapon for this bot since they allow you to still hit with decent/good damage without having to be near as exposed as other weapons. I have seen Pulse Cannon and RPGs, though, and they will definitely work... RPGs prolly more since you have a better range game. I will say that they are not great for Tourney's unless you are running with a teammate and want to help them get kills by keeping them alive. It's just not meant for kills... it can, and some folk are great at it, but it shines in the support role. IMO, YMMV

dukeofadvilIt's a solid mech. RPGs, Missile Racks or Javelins. Over the 10 seconds the ability is up, it restores about 2/3rds of it's max HP to allies and 1/3rd of it's own health. It has the most HP out of all of the support class mechs, and above average speed for avoiding slower mechs. It does what it's supposed to do.

Don’t laugh. I was in a tourney game with Redfiend earlier today and his MD with jav 4’s got top mech. And it does a good job at restoring teammates’ health.

I haven't unlocked it yet because i don't want to have to deal with another set of daily challenges. It does not heal while taking fire like bots in War Robots, so don't expect it to tank like a Mender. Seems like a good team bot though

It's a solid mech. I passed on it cause it would take too long to get it to at least EN 12. I have a lot of blueprints for it, so when I run out of things to upgrade (ie all gear at R4), I might pick it up and try it out. I like fast(ish) mechs and have a dream of running nothing slower than 5kph, so this might make that dream a reality.
I do love it when I have a MD on my team and I will follow it around like Billy Joel following Christie Brinkley in Uptown Girl when I see one with it's green field on. I also prioritize red MDs as priority targets after Jav users and Zephyrs.

I completely agree with Koalabear on this. I have played with bagofsoup and he has a leveled one and it's very effective in CPC games. He followed around my SB/TL Ares and no one could stop us. I'll add one note: Nothing pisses me off more after I die than to realize that an MD killed me. My reaction is usually akin to

What bugs me are the players that use them and completely ignore other players. Seriously... like, I am on my last 25% of HP, and they literally play keep-away instead of actually... you know, HEALING... with a healer bot. I'm not talking about in combat and they need to get to cover or throw some rounds downrange to protect a beacon, I'm talking straight up, by ourselves, and they just fly right past me. If I am in a Jug with low health... then healing me is one of the best ways to help the team... R4+ Juggy HP is good and will be, at the least, a good sponge for enemy fire that would allow the MD/other blue mechs to flank them. BUT, I cannot catch up! Just stop for 5 seconds and give me a few hits of that oh-so-nice healing juice! FFS! Sometimes it's bots, I get that, but when it's an obvious real player, why ignore a blue that will help fulfill your bot's purpose!

ⓣⓡⓘⓒⓚⓨ48 those are the same people that will say light mechs are bad mech because they walked right up to the front end of a Juggernaut, couldn't kill said Juggernaut in one burst, and then died.

(╯ ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)╯┻━┻ /rant When I run my MD, I’m looking for health-depleted blues first, then reds to shoot at second. It is not an attack or assault mech. Likewise, if I see one in play on my team, I’ll try to stick as close to it as I can. Just as bad as players running them ignoring teammates who need healing, is teammates who need healing completely ignoring a MD with its ability active. Cracks me up to see a mech with 1/4 or less if their health left hauling azz away from my MD like it’s got COVID-19.

I hate it when friendly AI's run MD, b/c they always walk away from you when you need healing (and I can't keep up w/ them), and they heal at the most random times

I've chased after them too, sometimes right out into the open cause I was desperate for some green goodness.

Those are mostly likely AI. I've chased after them too, sometimes right out into the open cause I was desperate for some green goodness. Enemy AI: Juggernaut and MD juggling cover to stop you from getting solid chunks of damage. Friendly AI: As MD: Will walk into the sightline of multiple enemy mechs, while it's weapons are reloading, to avoid being healed. As anything <6Kmph chasing a friendly MD: AI MD makes a bee line to an enemy beacon, following it has you hit by every Stasis/Thermal Lance/Long Arm currently on the enemy team.
