All weapons have an even numbered energy rating....there are no 3 energy weapons out there. I either need to mis match weapons, or only use 4 of the 6.

Sorry, had to laugh as that was the exact same reason I didn't like the Jugg for a long long time. It wasn't until I'd saved up a ton of blueprints for it and could rank it up that it became a tank. My advice is to probably not use it for a while. You don't really need two tanks early in the game and your Ares currently outclasses most things you'll meet on the field.

Should i put my Paragon back in? What bot should i be on the lookout for? You've got the basics for early game right now... are you using 4 or 5 slots? Panther Ares KS Para is a fine 4 slot hangar. Juggs is great though... once you get it where your OCD can appreciate it, start giving it a go. At 4 stars it can take a beating. At 5, well... I don't like going against R5 Juggs.
Ayway... FYI... I still throw my Para in nowadays. Especially on easy Tourney days so I don't feel too Seal Clubber-ish. Either as a Javelin platform, or as a Long Range bot. Sometimes, I like to use Shotties on it for Carnage Thunder reminiscence. It has a high EN rating for Long Range builds like Rocket Mortars or Long Arms/Rail Gun, and that ability makes Javs and Shotties fun (for me) to use on it. I am close to giving it the R4 treatment, just because I like it so much. It's not an "endgame" bot... but I like it. Danny is the same about the Lancer. So far, if I play smartly, it's not been a detriment.
Bots to look out for... tbh... I would just get used to the game and the different bots you have for a bit... find what play style you like. For example... Is Lancer style fun? Running in and out of trouble, grabbing beacons, looking for that flank shot? If so... Shadow will be a natural fit.
Get an idea of what aspects of the game you like and then tailor your hangar around that.
IMO, YMMV

How many slots do you have open now? If you only have 3, then stay with KS, Panther and Ares. If you have 4, and don't want to spend too much money, then I'd put the Paragon in over the Jugg right now and slap Jav4 on it. Then, you can probably go with RPG4 on the KS for now, and RPG6 on the Panther and PC6 on the Ares. That will give you a pretty well rounded hangar that will work in Tournament and CPC.

Currently running a 4 slot hanger. Most of my time so far spent liberating beacons. I like to play is short spurts, so it works for me most of the time. I'm not very familiar with many of the bots yet, but when i pick up my fifth slot i may need to get a shadow.

My advice: focus on saving resources, learning the game and how you fit into it, and upgrading key bots/weapons. Panther, Ares, Juggs, and KS are all great bots to invest in... Para is prolly good till R3 to get another 16 EN bot asap... but after that I'd focus more on endgame builds, personally... which is what I did. Redfiend's guide in the stickies covers which early weapons can hold their own as you go.

You'll likely work your way to what most of us have: Jugg, Panther, Killshot as your main 3 mechs and Ares, Guardian and Shadow as the swappables.
The Ares is a bit redundant once you have your Jugg leveled to R4. I personally feel the Jugg is the better overall tank because the Ares's ability cooldown is so damn long. I also find the Ares has better utility as a sniper/counter sniper.
The Guardian is the first mech you get that can mount serious weapons. I'd say go for this only if you really want to run the Missile Rack 8 sooner instead of later. I spend RM and the Guardian with MR8 paid dividends for me for a long time cause you can use it's ability to drop your target's shields and make them unable to fire and a double whammy with the MR8 is enough to kill most tanks in the lower divisions, and a single MR8 can drop most light mechs (if you hit them square on). By the time I reached D1, it got way harder to run this combo, but I'll still pull it out sometimes.
The Shadow is probably one of the most fun/frustrating mechs in the game. Slap on the Shotgun 4 on it and raise unholy hell in the early days of Tournament. It starts off feeling like playing with the War Robots Stalker and then grows to be more like the Pursuer sans speed boost.
You should play Tournament whenever you can too. Playing CPC will get you silver chests which gives you Tournament tickets. Coming in 1-3 in Tournament heats usually gets you decent about of A-coins and Loots tokens.

Ok i have a couple questions...i see things thrown out there like R5. 1) Is there more than one rank 5? Like 1.9 and 2.9 with War Robots? 2) In my picture of my bots is there a reason there is a different background color behind bots? 3) If so, what is the difference?

Ok i have a couple questions...i see things thrown out there like R5. 1) Is there more than one rank 5? Like 1.9 and 2.9 with War Robots? Yes... Equate it to stars... 1 Star is R1... 3 Stars is R3... etc. Each rank has 7 levels. You upgrade levels with blueprints and credits. At level 7 you can spend A Coins to upgrade to the next Rank or Star. The BIG advancements in HP and the extra EN comes from the rank 2) In my picture of my bots is there a reason there is a different background color behind bots? 3) If so, what is the difference? Yes, rarity. White is common, green is less common, Blue is rare, Purple is very rare, and Orange is the most rare. Redfiend's guide gets into the details if you want to learn.Answered in this color.

I think that if the background is yellow your bot has hit rank whatever and level 7 and you can spend A-coins to take it to the next higher rank. This shows in your inventory screen. Each rank has levels, 1 through 7. Like I may have Ares rank 4 level 5.

Not sure if the whole background turns yellow, but the green arrow that notes that you have an upgrade available does turn yellow at that point. I believe he is referencing the rarity of the Bots and Weapons in his question, though. But, you brought up something I hadn't thought about mentioning... regardless.

I've tried some odd stuff, too...

I almost bought one of these today, and i do not even have anything big enough to run on it yet.🤣🤔 TBH... that is a weapon that you will prolly be OK waiting till you can get normally... unless you know you want them. I have the 12, 10, and the 2x8s. I use them maybe 1/10 of the time... maybe. Might be closer to 1/20. Mostly when a tourney map is good for them or if I am going up against tons of them in CPC to use as counter artillery. Mostly though, I don't like them and without a good teammate to scout and open up targets, on bigger, more cover filled maps, they can be a PITA to use effectively. It's the old Noricum/Zenit argument... camp or get beacons.
Not saying you shouldn't get them... you may enjoy them more than I do... but they are prolly not one of those things I would suggest for early access spending. Missile Rack 8s, Ares, PC8s, SB 12 and 16, Shadow, and a few others, sure... I get results (fun) from them and they helped me get where I wanted to be. RMs... so far, I only use when I am in a more of a "have to" than a "want to" game. Again, though, this is just my perspective... you may be one of those killers with them and wipe the battlefield clean and enjoy it.
I think I just prefer direct fire, except for Javs.

Yeah, don't bother with the Rocket Mortar weapons. They're fun for a few games and then nothing...I got them cause the AI (before I realized it was AI) kept SSK'ing me. As you go up higher, that doesn't happen as often - but still does on occasion.

You have 4 mechs with at least 8EN so this can be done on those bots.
