And another one. Red human with 2000+ hangar vs my 1551. Reds were doing the corner camping thing. I did my part and still lost. At least this one took 3 rounds instead of getting wiped in 2. This has been most of my tourney games today. I could either waste time and salvos chasing the human player and missing out on all the kills, or ignore him and let him kill the rest of the blues while I try to rack up more kills than him. Either way, if his hangar is stronger than mine, or if there are two human reds, which has been the case most of the time, I lose. I’ve missed out now on who knows how many tourney points, I’m out of tickets, and there’s some Russian clown in my bracket now quickly closing in on me to take over 1st. Screw me.  |

Yeah, so the secret must be to buy tickets.  I didn’t want to give up 1st spot, so I dumped a-coins for 10 more tix (stupid, I know), and suddenly no more OP enemy hangars. Most of the last games my AI ‘teammates’ were doing the corner camping thing, so I just hung out in the right side corner waiting for the reds to parade in, and parade in they did. Had a cool game with reconnecting - he sat up on the right side wall with I think Ares distracting the incoming reds, so whatever he didn’t pick off in the middle was softened up for somebody else (me) to take out. The only good thing about today’s insanity is that, when they’re not camping themselves, the on-rushing reds seem singularly focused on the camping blues, with only the human player trying to take me out. If they’re not rocking RM12s from across the map, I can usually get through the round with one or two mechs. Had a nice long string of WINS for a change with 20 or more kills. Killshot and his javs are now taking a much needed ice bath. Now it’s 3:30 in the morning and I have to somehow get up in about 4 hours and try to do some work. Riiiiiiight. |

Yeah... out of the 3 games I have played during all this, only one has had a human... was a more normal score for that one since he was good player... not OP though, I'd say we were similarly matched in skill. But yeah, if you get all AI... it's a freaking turkey shoot.
I don’t know how you guys are doing it. I must be the lucky one getting all the humans, I guess. I just got 3 more games of blue campers and red swarmers, and one red human that ended up with 29 「fluffernutter」ing kills. Best I could get was 9, because I had to keep trying to dodge his mortar fire (which I wasn’t very successful at). This has been pure utter bull「dookie」 today. Oops, I sit corrected - 16 kills, 9 with Killshot. But how the hell am I supposed to compete with this. SNIP IDK unless, as I suspect, who you are up against depends on your division... I am still slogging my way through D3... and you are at the top of D1. You play a lot more than I do, as well. I rarely play enough in one sitting to trigger the AI ramp up, even. I get maybe 4 games in a row on a normal day. Usually a game or two during the day and then a run of 3-5 at night. So... I think MM goes easy on me as a result.
I will try and get another marathon in CPC this weekend so that I can get to D2, at least, so will prolly be close to what you see before long. I can't stay so low now that I know that Tourney is based on Division... but MM is another discussion.

yea I went up against way more human players in a novice heat than I've ever encountered....and I've had times where I didnt see a single person on the 1st day of tourney i hate maps where RM's do well tbh, what a pathetic 「meow」 weapon |

Too bad this isn't working now. Tournament's getting tougher already. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, running into that corner where all the reds were huddled and spamming shotgun with the Shadow. I think my record was 3 mechs with the shotgun and I remember I got a "Monster Kill" with the RM8 Guardian.

I seem to notice it most on Old Dubai I believe it is called. They all hang out in the tight alleyways. I jusy try and run the periphery and only venture into the middle if necessary

There's a lot of them and I usually can find one or more playing the same time as me. Some have pretty powerful hangars too. This one game, there was two on my side with Brickhouses. Geez, my first time seeing them up close, thank goodness they were on my side. One even had the Railgun...wow... On the other team was a guy that we often squad with...lol, poor guy, I think we all kinda went after him! |

I’ve got a bunch of BAM guys in my friends list, and I do squad with them a lot. And I am definitely trying to squad more often in tournament - it seems to even the odds and results in much better games than going solo. Only downside is, even though we usually win more, one or two higher-leveled teammates pushes me down in the team standings. Not many 20-kill games to be had with those guys on your team! |

I have noticed one oddity when playing one specific map.(do not know the name)At the beginning 2 blue A.I. bots head to the right beacon, one of those bots was always an M.D. bot. If i head there as well, the other bot will peal off and head to the middle beacon, leaving me and the repair bot to take the beacon. Then the repair bot goes down a hill and comes in towards the middle beacon......always.

Ok, is MM in TDM totally out of whack for anybody else today? I’m getting hammered so badly by ridiculously OP hangars, I feel like I’m playing War Robots again. I wouldn’t mind so much if it didn’t cost me tickets to play matches that I’m earning basically nothing for. But it does, and I’m not, and it’s aggravating the piss out of me because 5 other people in my bracket are now completely out of reach, all lower-level players probably getting tit matchups.
And yeah, these are solo games because I can’t find anybody to squad with.

I tried this. And you know what happened? No matter how badly I played, I couldn’t lose. I played as stupid and recklessly as I know how, and the reds played even stupider. I think I actually won 3/4 of those games I was trying to lose. I mean, I’d storm their home spawn with my RPG4/6 Lancer, and they’d have three mechs shooting at me (and mostly missing) for about a minute and a half, while the rest of the blues finally decided it’s a good idea to cap CP’s. I’m not kidding. I sat here muttering out loud ‘this is un-f’n-believable’ because the wins kept piling up with me contributing next to nothing. |

I’m out of tickets for today, unfortunately, but I’ll look you up tomorrow. I think I’m gonna wait until later in the day to register for the next tournament round and see if that makes any difference. The last couple of days I’ve started early in the morning, which has made it quite a struggle. And yes, even just one more pair of friendly guns definitely makes a big difference. dukeofadvil suggested forum members prefixing our in game names, and the more I think about it, the more like the idea of an informal forum group clan, but I’m not sure I’d want to call it War Robots. I mean, look at my pilot name already.  So I have an idea ... new thread about to pop up. Watch out, everybody.  |
