Over the past week, I win about 2 or 3 marches per 10. Im barely over 1k in power and Im always the weakest on the field. Everyone is low to mid 2k. Is this the new normal, and should I expect this until I can level up to catch up with everyone else?

Is this the new normal, and should I expect this until I can level up to catch up with everyone else? This seems to happen in spurts, and it is indeed extremely frustrating when it does. The good news is, it usually doesn’t last very long. After you get beaten down for awhile, competition eventually returns to something a little more balanced. I had one of those days yesterday; this morning it was much more ‘normal’. As noted in another thread or two, MM in this game seems to react more to your wins and losses than to your hangar strength. Win a lot, your competition gets stiffer (and I swear your AI ‘teammates’ collude with the enemy to make winning even more unlikely). Lose a bunch, and things will soon settle down.

OK, still getting wrecked. Its ridiculous. its been like 2 weeks now and every single red in the game is 4 stars at a min, SB12/16, Carbine 8/10/12, Zephyrs up the ying yang. Ive actually went back to War Robots because I can deal better with the peek a boo bots there than I can here. Matches are only 5 mins, but it takes just 2 mins to look around and see that you are only 1 of 2 left. This is really frustrating, about to delete

Tell me what region you're in and include a screenshot of your profile and I'll go piss off the discord mods for you.

The short answer is, no, the MM doesn't appear to get better until the AI it puts you with are completely maxed. Only then can you hope to start gaining ground. I suggest learning how to play in such a way as to manipulate the AI. That's what I do. However, that's made it to where the AI hangers are stronger and stronger, so maybe I'm doing it wrong anyway. The height of my masochism was yesterday when I ran a solo game and every AI in the match had the exact same hanger score and it was something north of 3400. My hanger strength?...2150. Yep, it was a very "which one of these is not like the other" moment. I tried recently to submit a bug report as Redfiend has suggested, though I've had some issues with the game locking up on me. The problem with my argument is that the results don't match my whining. If I say, "I can't win like this!" then Plarium will just show me the results of the above mentioned game where I actually won and took the top 2 mech spots and first place on my team and say to me...

Humunculus, not sure what your Division Ranking Points are at, but the game maxes out at 10,999. That allows losing up to 999 Rank Points before dropping to Division 2. I treat this as working space to manipulate Ai since the game still has a lot of them in CPC matches. What I do is pull out all my mechs, then put in only 1. Ususally something that I may not play much but would like to try for more of a fun element like the Lancer. Equip it out with what you want to try out. Then, go play a lot of matches. No need to just throw games; try and develop skills in running the bot but don't be too defensive. Play out like 20 games or so. You will get some -60 scores but some positive ones and lower minus scores as well. I usually find I drop around 500 points. By this point, look to the enemy team for their hanger strength scores. My observation is that they generally go down (<1000). When I fully load out my hanger, I get in the 1500s and find that Reds aren't running higher rank mechs and weapons I do not have like Missile Racks, Carbines, and such. Something to try if you are getting frustrated and can be done in around 30 minutes. My hanger does not have anything above Rank 3 Level 7. Having Mechs and/or weapons in Rank 4 could also increase enemy hanger strengths.

He did it to show how tankers tank... but if MM is treating you like you are 3k but only have 1k, this seems like a good mitigation technique.
