Global chat is the most probable cause of all of the server crashes,but all it's being used for is kids and baddies begging people to give them premium currency.
There's a reason global shout is Modmin or paid item feature in rpgs ?
Edit:
Room selection can be used to populate empty rooms. It was suggested below to go to room 645 for forumites.

ya i checked it out once and saw some kid repeatedly asking if any one wanted to be his girlfriend. XD
Global chat makes more sense if there are clans in the game, can recruit and challenge each other through it, but at this point squad chat and pm are probably more useful

I took a peak a few times...it's all this kids with their own short hand language or typing errors. I couldn't understand a thing. I wish there were an option to turn it off.

Report in the discord #suggestions or the contact email address that you want to be able to turn it off. The mods on the discord are ?wee-wee?s, so I don't try and talk to them and expect mature conversation, but you can still make your voice heard. I have only used the chat function once to tell an invite that I couldn't play and was just checking on collectables. I am glad that we can do that now... at least. Global is just NOT something a game like this needs IMO. Internal clan and Friend to Friend is plenty.
EDIT: Can y'all buy me some ACoins? PLEASE? PRETTY PLEASE? IF YOU LIKE THE GAME YOU WILL BUY ME COINNNNSSSSSS!!!!!!!

Guys, I looked at the Chat function. There are rooms we can select. There are English and Russian rooms at the moment to select. For English, we can select any room between 1 and 999. Suggestion: How about we all select a room number so we can try and fill it with us like minded folks? I'm trying room 645 and not seeing any random chat messages so far. Come join me there.  Checked the room 20 minutes later and looks just like above! Would like to see us from War Robots (MA) forum so come on over! |

The room is reset every time you close the app, and you're placed based on what room is open, in numerical order, come log in.
If we pick a number to manually switch to on login, there's no guarantee it will be open once the population picks up, but 645 sounds fine for now for forumites. I'll edit the OP.

Also, what's up with not being able to tag people under Friends chat? I've tried twice now clicking on people's name for after battle messages and it doesn't insert their name. That seems like it would be the most important part of a chat function, especially given how creating squads is match by match only.

looks like the jig is up for 645, spammers have found us! Apparently it's only numerical order unless rooms in higher room numbers have people in them. So, if there are 300 packed rooms, and a group of players is inhabiting room 999: instead of adding people to room 301, it will add people to room 999. BULL「dookie」 Game should have implemented clans before chat, so we could do without the constant groveling in the lower left corner. |

I am no longer experiencing crashes, and I never even look at the chat unless its showing I have a direct message, so not sure why this is even an issue

Worst thing they could have added to the game without having the ability to turn it off, or at least filter what you see. At least give me the ability to limit it to my friends list.

Because people are different and some can't help but notice stuff others don't. I too find the chat design annoying and while at some point I'll get used to it, right now I keep catching it out of the corner of my eye. I imagine that's because they deliberately designed a visual feature of the game to in fact get noticed. It would be nice if they improved the design and let us limit it to just our friends list as suggested. Also making so that you stay logged into a specific chat room # instead of having to switch every time you open the app would be good too. In the meantime, I'm switching it back to Russian, which helps me ignore it. But greater user control and customization would be the preferred option. |

Plus I made the mistake of dropping into 645 before I saw that it had been overrun with whatever the hell it’s been overrun with. Just another example of what makes social media in general a festering sore on the butt of humanity. If nothing else, at least it clearly demonstrates why televised parades of human trash like TLC and WE TV not only continue to exist, but actually thrive. I’ll tell ya, it doesn’t do much for my faith in the future of civilization. |
