Ok, I just start doing this and I don't know if it works or not, but hopefully if I get the word out, eventually someone will do it to me!
You know how there's 4 canned messages you can say in game? The first one is "Good Job!" and there's a green thumbs up on your mech? After I kill a red, I put that on cause when you die, you automatically look at your killer for a couple of seconds before respawning. Do you think my victim can see that green thumb and get a little bit peeved at it? Maybe enough to come gunning for me and make a critical mistake?

Not sure but I have done it in the past and got a lot of attention from that red at next spawn. Coincidence? Dunno - good if it is the case though!!

I still haven't figured out how to do the "laugh at you" orange icon I get sometimes. Maybe it's automatic if you kill someone (or are killed by someone) multiple times. Don't know, but that one makes me a bit peeved.  |

When you die, you can pick from 4 icons, but when you kill someone, you don't get to chose anything except the icons you mentioned (Cover me, Attack, Help and Good Job) I can't find out how to send the "pointing and smiling" orange icon that I see. That's why I assume it's a multiple kill based thing that's automatic. |

I have heard of folk doing that when they get killed by a real player in order to let them know you aren't an AI... if you do it after you kill someone... I think it serves the same purpose... but maybe not... might be considered taunting.
Whenever I've seen it I've taken it as either them saying "I'm not AI" and/or "good job" for real, and just keep going at it like normal.
I mean, if they do a good job and make it a fight, I green thumb them as a true "attaboy"... if they take it like a taunt... ooops.
EDIT... I do think they will see it.
