I just wanted to take a moment to mention the change in the game feel progressing from the early game to end game with a bit of a comparative note to golden age Walking War Robots.
In War Robots, at least as I knew it, the way the upgrades work, is that weapons deal comparatively more damage compared to the increase of mech durability as upgrades get to higher levels. Iirc it was something along the lines of mechs getting a health increase of around 40% from base to 12, while weapons scaled to about 75% increase from base to 12. This made the game faster as players progressed because late/end game was all about death buttons and/or crippling an opponent in a single volley.
Mech Arena takes that in the opposite direction. Weapon damage only marginally increases throughout level progression, where most weapons will only gain 1-5000 damage per cycle depending on their base damage/firing time/initial rank, while bots gain a great deal of health as they level and rank up.
I saw a maxed out Juggernaut on the discord the other day. It has over 90k health/20k shield health at the top of the top. To put that into comparison, rank 1 Jug has a total of 20k health/shield. In other words, bots gain health exponentially, while weapons change only slightly by comparison, which slows the game down as levels and ranks get up there.
Getting weapons that can kill in one volley early game(Missile racks, Javelins, Mortars) can make them feel very strong, because they generally start at higher upgrade levels as their out-of-the-box state.
Later on though, single volley K/Os are few and far between. Even the difference between my Rank3 gear, and the rank 4 gear I fight on average shows the health disparity of lower levels over what later ranks hold. Outside of things like Killshot's dash, enemies aren't dealing much more damage than I am, they just have 50% more health.
Thoughtful play and counter play become more important the further anyone progresses in this game, whereas in other mech games, end-game is mostly about killing the opponent in 1-2 bursts.

This is resonating with what I have seen recently... as I come up against more and more leveled opponents. MR is still good... but it's not a 1H1K option anymore... which I like tbh. I can pester folks like a MF in the Killshot+MR6s and, especially once they get lit up from a thermal or Longarm, can still knock big ole chunks from their Healthbar if I am aiming well. OH... I only just realized that MR have some hella range... while their projectile is slow, if you can get a lucky shot on someone that is otherwise engaged or suffering from the stasis effect, you can snipe with these bad boys!
I digress... the fun has only gotten more legit as I've progressed... and while the game is definitely harder at these levels, it's much more rewarding when you do well.

Definitely entices you to upgrade to bots more. I can echo this as well. MR8s are great for pounding low and mid level mechs in the tournament, but when the AI knows what you're capable of and starts giving you the hefty leveled competition, it is a bit eye opening. Juggs be laughing at my MR8s and coming at me like...

No, after each rank up, the credit/Blueprint cost is set back a few steps. For example: Rank 2: level 5 to level 6: 17,500, level 6 to 7: 20,000 Rank 3: level 3 to level 4: 17,500, 4 to 5: 20,000

I'll see if I can find it and post it here
