Unsure if this has been posted, but Scape211 has a Youtube series on what bots/weapons are worth unlocking. Hopefully this doesn't violate anything in C-o-C since there seems to be quite a bit of interest in MA here, and it should help people out to making better choices with their resources.

It doesn't. MA is welcome and so are these videos. Feel free to register again HFB so people can tag you and communicate. It's, of course up to you, but this is the best place many of us have found to exchange information and find quality teammates.
The game is also in beta so criticism and feedback of it is also welcome. I'm hoping some of the input gathered here might make it to the devs at some point.

Welcome Happy Fun Ball! I think I have you in my friends list and have definitely played both with and against you in the game. I wish I had looked at these types of videos when I first started...but then again, finding out things for myself is half the fun. I do kinda regret getting the Shadow. It's a ton of fun to play but getting cards for it takes forever, and I do want to get it to a point where I can put RPG6 on both it's points. Paging BB. I'd love to see what you can do with the Lancer! Like the guy in the video, I abandoned my Lancer early on, but if I ever run out of things to upgrade, I'm going back and throwing some resources at mine. I've seen some excellently piloted Lancers in the game. One of them swooped down on me from above. All I saw of it was its shadow as it jumped to the platform above/behind me, and before I could turn around to follow it, it blasted my Guardian (a mech several tiers higher) into scrap. |

I think as far as the Lancer... it's one of those that "Isn't going to be end game competitive" but can still be fun,and in the right hands, turn that quoted statement on its head. That said... I wouldn't want to use it with anything less than full rank against a Brickhouse with Carbines though! |

Pretty much the Rog equivalent for a starter bot is sexy enough to rope me in ? Im just gonna buff him out first, then get to the weaps. |

Every other bot has an offensive/defensive utility that directly interacts with combat(sans Brickhouse). Lance and Paragon have movement abilities that don't interact with anything but the map. Hell, Brickhouse is a side-grade to Jug at the same levels, not an upgrade. It just has a boat of HP so it's primary role is "W+M1" from one side of the map, to the other, while Jug can just Park somewhere and be a nightmare, and Ares is a point man that leads the push and soaks up the initial barrage for allies. |

Juggy, MD, both taking a back seat at the moment. As a matter of fact, for reasons yet still unknown to me, when I open with it, it does better than my Killshot, even with only jav 4’s. Killshot for some reason just attracts the fire of every red on the field and never lasts, no matter how cautious I try too play it; as soon as one has a line on it, it’s almost instantly toast. Most games lately it gets fried without killing anything. But with Lancer I’m able to dodge more enemy fire and sometimes actually do more damage with it than the Killshot. It’s a very fun bot to play and definitely my next focus of resources. If I could actually get any resources for it, that is... |
