This sub-forum is has only been around for less than a couple weeks and already we're 4th on the list that pops up on Google when searching "Mech Arena Forum!" How freaking cool is that?!? Impressive guys!

I think we deserve a Mech arena board, located in the home page, subforum is already hard to navigate, today I double posted, which wouldn't happened if we had something like gear discussion sub board

Honestly, I bet we are the only active place talking about it outside of Discord and FB.
There is a reddit subforum but it's pretty bare of meat...

Moving this sub-forum to a more prominent location is relatively simple (I believe). We just want it to grow a bit more organically and see where it goes before restructuring the War Robots based forum.

Yeah that forum was the first place I started looking for info and it's either very old posts or spam. Definitely not much going on with it atm.
I love that the new player guide consists of "Play the tutorial" and peeps were actually like "Thanks man! Great guide!"

As soon as I saw the spam, I was like, "Oh we can do better than this..."

This is great. You have mentioned starting a separate forum, and at this point while the list of threads are minimal, it would be relatively easy for several people to transfer the info over. If we don’t do that and let this one continue to grow, it will become more difficult. The more I think about this situation, it doesn’t make sense for one of the main hubs for MA conversation to be nested as a subforum inside one of MA’s competitors. So my suggestion is if someone knows how to set up a new freeforums page dedicated to MA, I am happy to help tranfer material, which will be easier since I have admin controls for this current site.

But, I suppose it’s up to what is practical and what people here want. We could just leave it be and continue using this forum, but i don’t think we should expect the makers of MA to want to use this as an official link

Right now, we are actually getting a good bit of folk coming over and trying it out... it's exposure that I am not sure would have happened, otherwise.
BUT, there is no doubt that once there is a big enough crowd, we'll prolly wanna get a separate one going...
Maybe we can start one up and get some of the main threads copied over, but not necessarily use it right away? It seems like we have a lot of folk right now, but I don't know how many would actually join up to second forum at this point... and it may not be enough people to keep a whole other forum alive without some sort of "getting the word out" and maybe a DIY guerilla ad campaign on FB and YT vid comments to get more players from this side of the world, playing. I mean, if it wasn't for Koalabear I'd be clueless about it even existing. I search the app store about every 6 months for mech games just to see what shows up... and I had already done it for this part of the year lol.
Totally shooting from the hip though... I could be off base completely.
Thoughts?
EDIT - I also am pretty attached to this place... been here too long lol.

And (shhhh, don't tell anyone) I think we might be getting quite a few War Robots folks coming over that are maybe not super happy with how it's going right now.

I think its convenient to be a subforum at this point, one stop shop to get War Robots and MA fix. Right now we have about 5 users viewing, see if that number goes up

Maybe create a ‘parent’ page with a generic title like Mech Games Forums or something like that, with links to War Robots and MA, so members can blast into one or the other quickly. Just a thought. Might be less likely to upset any relationships some admins or mods have with Pixonic, though a separate link prominent on the main page would work just as well for users. The fact that this subforum seems to be taking off says a lot about this community. The info sharing here is just awesome.

We have plenty of good options for moving things around and making it more prominently displayed and will likely do so as this grows. As you said, growth doesn't appear to have been hindered yet. We're monitoring things and Josh is aware of what we're doing over here. I check with him before making any changes and he's been super cool about everything so far.

The irony is that I found this game from an ad that played inside War Robots! Wouldn't it be funny if there's a mass exodus of some sort and it all started from one little ad? Proof that ads work!

While none of the other Mech Game threads have ever taken off like MA, there is still a decent amount of content. And overall a clearinghouse site would be the most popular of all options. Think Amazon vs Alibris.
