I think it would be great to have cross platform for this game. Allowing more players and better match up if Android and ISO are link together. Please help me put a petition up for this feature so everyone can enjoy this game even more. Not all our friends and family uses same devices so with this feature. We can play more and have more fun with friends and family. Please help me with this petition. Thank you all and War Robots.

Honestly, at this point, I would vote yes. Getting back my iOS hangar would rekindle my love for the game and there are no more cheaters on Android.

I vote yes, I'd like to grab some league points from iOS players.
Also it would make the user experience uniform, reducing confusion in the forum.

[Reposted] When I first saw ads of this game, I was over the moon but I was completely shocked when I found out its not cross platform. I like to use my phone when I am going to and from work (android) but I got an iPad mini at home which I prefer to play mobile games on, so of course I cant play on the same account on both of them.
The other thing is, I love this game and my intentions was to get my brother and my mates to play too but some of them has an android phone and the others an iPhone. So now all of us a split on who we play with and ultimately, most of them have quit because we cant play together.
Lastly and this is the thing than I dont understand, you can form squads and clans and of course you would invite your friends but how can you invite all of your friends when its not cross platform? From what I can see, this game promotes teamwork so why the developers are limiting our option on who we can team up with?

I say yes. Combining both platforms would help ease matchmaker into making much more balanced matches since it will have a bigger sample size to work with.
Only thing I'm worried about is potential conflicts with player and clan names, and how that debut will sort out.

Cross platforn will make the software development more difficult. I think a lot happens on client side, so it is important that the client apps have exactly matching behavior, so having cross platform would make testing new versions a lot more difficult. Additionally, release schedules of the platforms are not identical, and can't be because of they have separate app shops with their own approval processes etc.
If it could be made so, that when the versions match and are known to be good, then it is cross platform. At upgrade times, it will be temporarily separated. That would make cross-platform clans problematic, but might otherwise be good.
But I don't think it's worth the trouble. It would obviously slow down the software development cycle and increase costs (probably more than many who aren't SW dev professionals realize). I don't think it's worth the trade-off, I'd prefer other improvements (game modes, better reconnect, better physics, more dynamic map engine...) on separated platforms.

If there's a huge software development cost, why don't all games have iOS/Android separation...?

If there's a huge software development cost, why don't all games have iOS/Android separation...? If all logic is on server side, then it's no problem (I *think* War Robots does a lot on client side). If a multiplayer game is designed from the start to have cross-platform multiplayer, then its extra cost can be minimized (War Robots obviously wasn't because it's not cross-platform multiplayer now). Switching to that at this point in an app lifecycle can be hard, and in case of War Robots it probably is (I mean, I don't think they have separated platforms out of spite or lazyness). If Pix ever makes WR2 from scratch, then I hope they go cross-platform. If they can slowly work towards having it without it messing up their dev process, then I say go for it. But otherwise, nah, not worth it in my opinion.

The ability to play with friends and invite others to the game is more than worth it.
The friend who recommended the game to me is on iOS. When I tried the game out and liked it, we were looking forward to create our own clan, invite the rest of the old group, and relive the good old days of online gaming together as a group. Then we realized too late that the game is not cross platform.. We're split in half in terms of platform. So everything tumbled away..
Now each of us both is playing solo and the rest aren't playing at all..

The biggest issue that Pix has always used as an excuse has been the fact that they release more frequent updates than many games. And as such, Android approval for release has always been fast than iOS. Usually by a week.
As such, it makes it difficult when all clients need to be the same version in order to play the game. U can't have iOS lagging behind, otherwise the game won't work.
That's the excuse anyway

You're kidding right They can't even fix the Zeus bug nor discourage tanking, you think they could pull off an achievement like that without literally blowing up the servers or making the game completely unplayable ?

Do they actually release updates on Android a week earlier than on iOS? I thought the last update was released on both platforms same time. Other than that, releasing an update a week later on Android than usual means nothing.

I agree with this. Don't try to merge the two platforms. I don't want another disaster like matchmaking.

Other than that, releasing an update a week later on Android than usual means nothing. Nope... Android always gets it first. And in a way it's a good thing for the iOS guys. Cos the last time, there were some big bugs in the Android update that required them to rush ANOTHER Android update out. And allowed for the iOS version to be released a week later with those same bugs already rectified. But yes, it IS a lame excuse. But nothing much we can do about it. However, test servers have generally been cross platform recently, with the exception of the most recent one which was iOS exclusive.
