God I loved this game. Still remember playing it for the first time on a friends I pad or something. They had a rhino and a cossack which brought me into the game when I found it again. It has been an amazing run and honestly this community has been amazing, far more than most.
But those days have been dwindling. I have played only a couple games in the last month or so, and when I do the only thing giving me joy is my own bots. Battles are harsh, the game is constantly getting worse to play and I just don't like it anymore.
Glad I only put $75 into this game, many others have been saying they spent several hundred or more. I am also glad I had so much fun while I could but I think its about time I said goodbye.
I will probably hang around on here a bit more because I love talking with you guys and I might play a game or 2 before I leave but I am done. Sad to see such a beautiful game go to waste. Feel horrible, and also sort of free to say it, but this is pretty much goodbye to war robots.

The funny thing is, you already are. Everywhere you go, you are "here."
To your post, I don't blame you. I had very similar thoughts the two times I quit War Robots. I did it when Pix had the changed (current) MM. I found all that to be overwhelming and bagged the game for a while. I also quit after they released Phantom, Phase Shift, and Leech in rapid succession.
I decided to come back and give War Robots another shot. It's very disheartening to see the game quality be not nearly as tactical as it used to be.
That said, I have a bit of a new mindset. I don't care about the outcome nearly as much which is good because my win rate has been hovering between 20% and 40% since I returned (currently 32%). I'm now playing for the challenge of not sucking. I know I can't truly compete vs the whales, those FTP folks who have been more selective (wise) in their gear choices, or those who haven't taken breaks from the game. I'm also doing some more experimentation with mechs and guns that were never super meta, but which are still good value. I'm leveling up a Tyr, for example.
I think that having a healthy perspective on the game (hell, life in general) is important. It's certainly not easy as others here can attest. That said, there are others here who have a lot of success despite the game Pixonic has provided for us. As someone said recently, setting up your own "game within the game" is really beneficial. Seeing those like BB and linearblade doing their own thing without chasing meta is a healthy bit of inspiration.
I will quote the character "Bishop" in the movie "Waiting..." who actually had some very wise words that I find applicable in many parts of life.
In a vacuum, it's a truly bizarre quote. I highly recommend the movie, though. It's worth a watch when the kids aren't around.
All that being said, I don't blame you at all. As I said, I've been there myself (multiple times). I hope you reconsider, but if you don't I wish you nothing but the best.

Don’t blame you, if it is not fun ... go enjoy life.
At your final resting place, no one will ever comment how good/bad your War Robots journey has been.
I just do my games with in games and then move on to things in life that matter.
More working out, less BP spikes .... win/win.
Be good man.

Word of advice: Don't kill your bots/sell them for silver while you're angry. You might want to revisit War Robots when the remastered version is done. And then, if you only consider this game as a fun shooter, not a tactical or even fair pvp shooter (it's no fair pvp and it's not tactical anymore), you might enjoy War Robots for what it is again. That's how I managed to let go most of the hate I feel towards Pixonic. Their product is what it is. A now pay to win shooter something game, there's no way anyone can convince me this is fair game and pvp ready shooter something game. It's not. But it's still fun to blast some bots. So, don't kill your hangar. Revisit when Remastered is out. And just play the game for what it is: A mecha something shooter thing. No e-sports ready game. No fair game. No balance in the game. Just blasting some bots. Anyway, be good. I understand why you're leaving. Friday afternoon here in Europe. Played ONE match today, and already had enough of it for now. So yeah, all the best to you l》THE MACHINE《l

I’ve tried this new mindset, I really have. And for the most part I’m in a better place with this game than I was a few years ago. That being said, there are still very few things in this world that can drive me to fits of rage like this game can. It’s right up there in the company of my ex-wife. You build your hangar the best you can with whatever you can grab to make it as fun for yourself as possible. You open the app and venture into a match with the intent of enjoying a few minutes of wasting some time with the hangar of your own creation. And then wham, you’re getting shredded before you can take a shot, and/or you’re on a team of complete and utter morons, and 9 out of 10 matches are unavoidable frustration no matter how you try to not let it be so. I’ve got a bot or two and maybe a few weapon sets I still want to try to whip together, and that’s the only thing that keeps me coming back every day, wading through that increasingly grimy quagmire of ads (Dr Pimple-popper game? REALLY?) and some of the worst gaming experiences I’ve ever experienced. So I’ve got a few more goals I’d like to accomplish before calling it a day. But it gets harder and harder to stick it out. One day I imagine I’ll wake up and ask myself what exactly am I doing this for, and when my mind finishes scrambling for a reasonable answer, that will probably be when I pull the plug for good.

A update for those who it may concern. War robots wasn't a complete disaster for me but it wasn't great. Loved my mercury and strider and miss them now that I have left but the game itself is so shot I wonder if I ever liked the game for anything but how those bots played.
I have already moved on though, an older game that has had much more success because it cared about its players more than profits. Terraria has been a great chance to see just how F'ed up war robots is and how much better they could have been.
The only thing holding me in these forums is how fun it is talking strategy with you guys and how awesome the community is. You guys are amazing!

Sometimes I wonder if Iâ??ve ever enjoyed the game or if it was just intense hate-?fluffernutter?ing sounds about right. It would not surprise me if thats wht this is for you especially considering the name, profile pic and if I remember right the hanger setup. Maybe a bit of both actually, you loved the game before but now you hate it so much it has resorted to this, lol.

Word of advice from the recently departed, when you go take one last run with each of your bots. A battle or 2 and then switch them out for others until you have used all of them and then say your goodbyes. Makes leaving feel more like a goodbye than running away or storming off. Also, I recommend you look into terraria or another game that cared for its playerbase. Honestly, playing games like that really help you realise how great it is that you left the game. It also shows that you can win far more cash like that than you will ever from making your game like war robots. Not to mention your game going down as one of the best in history if you do well enough. Games like these end up making you feel like you are getting somewhere rather than slowing your descent out of the actual game like War Robots does.

We feel your pain. Good luck to you in your travels fellow bulwarker. ah, another bot I am already missing. The feeling of "ha, thats not going to bring my shield down, much less kill me" was awesome and the feeling the redeemers takong away a third of a leeches health in a spilt second. GOD do I miss those feelings, but alas, the game has killed them for me. Good luck to you as well, may you tank lots of damage and dish even more out!

The only thing holding me in these forums is how fun it is talking strategy with you guys and how awesome the community is. You guys are amazing! There are definitely some very cool aspects of the game. You build your hangar with bots and weapons that suit you best (based of course on what’s made available to you), and when you get to use them as you had intended, the game is a lot of fun. Unfortunately there are many obstacles getting in the way of that, and much more stuff that sucks than cool stuff, all of which seem to be intentionally added to the game by its dear and caring developers, which makes it all the more frustrating. But I remember the first time I reached that point, for days I was missing my tiger Carnage w/ Thunders that I grinded my butt off for in one of those early events. I loved that bot, I loved speeding up to anything, especially under the shielding Ancilots, and punching the crap out of them. That was probably the one cool thing that kept me from deleting the game sooner. But, much like today, the frustrations overcame the coolness. You can only ignore the crap for so long. Some days I’m better at it than others. I’ve got a couple of very fun bots right now (namely Tyr and Nightingale, and about three weeks away from a Blitz), which are the cool things keeping me in the game now. But even with those, one or two games a day is about all I can handle before I feel the rage starting to boil up. This morning, for instance - game lost with one bot left to five reds, and no beacons. None. Checking the stats, everybody on both teams were pretty equally ranked, but a couple of the reds clearly outclassed everybody else with damage and kills (don’t know why, because they were another platform), and we got absolutely rekt. Between beacons and healing, I ended up 2nd on my team, which was the only positive from it. Way too many games go this way; for whatever reason, when all is said and done, you look at the results and realize you never had a chance. And the more that happens, the more you question why you’re even doing this. And of course, there’s this community where we can (and DO) come in and vent about it instead of smashing phones and tablets against the wall. But even that only remedies so much.

But even that only remedies so much. yes, completely agree. I loved using my blitz, nightingale, mender, rayker, all of them. They were fun to play especially since I never cared about stats, league, or trophies. The only reason I stayed in champs as best I could was for the extra resources. It worked for a while, and that was about 2-3 years worth of fun but the game has caught up. Now my bots are going to literally get killed in a couple of seconds because pix added yet another way for bots to get stronger that I can't get into. I was able to get half way into pilot, and barely dip my toes into modules but now something else? No, I finished all that I really wanted to do and now I am happy with how far I got but not willing to go further. The game has many fond memories, like using my tharnage and getting my highest kill-streak in just about ever (14). Or like jumping into a band of the entire enemy team with my mercury and getting 4 kills from just the slam and the rest with my guns. Or tossing 3 people into the river on castle with arthur, or even better, having half the enemy team chasing my strider as I pick them off with my goons. It was a great run, and I wish I could stay longer but the game has killed it for me, especially because I had pretty much become completely content with where I was. That is enough to leave no ties so nothing really held me back when drones pushed me. Thank you for understanding, and also thanks to all you guys for making war robots more fun than it ever should have been!
