Welp, if finally happened. My three-bot (+Titan) hanger finally got kicked up into D2. I blame Nodens, and I'm going back to a Titan-less hanger. Of all the Titans, Nodens is definitely the most engaging. Its still not enough for me to want to field it. For now he's just at Pt-sink.

My smurf has a L7 Phantom with Olga and a L5 cryo with rimes and it runs a muck in D2. One bot would propel me to expert if i was to allow it. A nodens in D would almost guarantee a top place finish most of the time due to its healing. Your hanger with a nodens is Champions League capable.

No doubt: and that's pretty messed up if you ask me. Cheers!

My 3-slot hangar took me up to M3. And that was it. From there, I could get frustrated and quickly beaten back down to Expert, or I could cave in and open a 4th slot to give myself a fighting chance to stay where I never wanted to be in the first place. I caved. To this day I cannot explain why, but I did. And there was no decrease in the frustration; however, I did NOT get bounced back to Expert, either. I’ve pretty much been languishing in the middle of M3 now for over a month, mostly because I’ve been running some pretty underleveled gear. Ravana and Nightingale, but underleveled with some frankenbot loadouts. The only thing I’ve learned from all this is, there are apparently almost no other Master league players, because I’m either with all Champions, or all Experts. Maybe, maybe one game out if 10 is with mostly other Masters.
Point to all this is, stick with that 3-bot hangar as long as you can. You’ve still got a way to go before you outgrow it.

You have two bots too much to avoid D (and even E), imo: get rid of the healers. D is still fun to play in. In expert, you will lose your appetite to play
I had a 3-bot smurf pre titans ended in expert in less than a month. I was running a leadhose natasha, a shotgun strider, and a leadhose/shotgun invader just before I quit. It was fun as it lasted.
Good luck,

In my smurf account, still running my stalker/aphid (D3 ). Together with Leo/redeemer/magnum, hover/taran/magnum and rayker/leadhose. Lotsa fun. In D3 still people do not get the concept of beacon running. Yesterday capped 10 again with 1.2 mill dmg. A nice break from the madness called Champions League.

... Point to all this is, stick with that 3-bot hangar as long as you can. You’ve still got a way to go before you outgrow it. I've been advocating small hangers with an eye towards staying in Diamond since 2017 (when I abandoned a 5-slot hanger in Champs). I just don't see the point in chasing Champs with Pixonic's current strategic direction. My settling on a 3-bot hanger feels a bit like your move to 4 slots (I wish I had stayed at two). no pain 80, I appreciate the advice on the healers. I enjoy a hybrid support role, and since the healing ability is tied to bot-level, I can level without worrying too much about my damage pushing me up. Its true the honor points for healing push me up, but not having a titan does a pretty good job of balancing it out. Over all, I really like the smaller hanger size. If I were giving newbies advice, I'd recommend they stop at a 2-slot hanger and max out bots they like before adding more (if they add more).

It was a tough decision going from two slots to three, and then from three to four, because that's one critical impact to the game that there's no turning back from. I thought long and hard about it both times.

i have been using 5 slots + titan for a long time. I usually only use 2-3 robots, then the titan, and be satisfied because i dished out 1 million damage. However, other than the Rhino, none of my bots are fitting to be used to cap beacons late game. I have tried using a Scorpion to cap beacons, but the duration isn't long enough for me to turn a beacon from red to blue and teleport back to safety without getting blasted by titans. The next fastest is a Lancelot with the ghost skill.

When the game recommended the next upgrade for my hanger, it would only recommend that I get the next slot only when I ran a 1 bot hanger. Once I got to two, it never recommended three. Probably because it costs Au and the upgrader only recommended Ag upgrades, but still I thought it interesting. Really if we think of ourselves as the pilot of a robot on a battlefield, why would we eject just to drop into the same battle with a different bot? I'd wish this game had a mode like Counter Strike where you only get the one life.

Im trying to stay out of champ with my mk1 lv9 hangar. 100 points or so away The game is sometimes impossible to play and the gap is only getting worse. I wont bother to start a new account, last time i was fighting leveled meta bots within a few days. I wont pay them money so Im going to have to find another game to play I guess.
