OK, so I know that everyone wants a story mode in War Robots, so I am going show my interpretation of one. Also, If I get to 1000 views, I will submit this to War Robots devs.
You are a pilot-in-training and you are part of one of five colonies. You get to choose the colony that you are part of, and depending on the colony that you are part of, you will be provided robots from that colony to help them fight as an undercover associate. You are chosen to take on missions with other pilots, and you can recover some of the things your enemies are using if you are lucky. Each colony has their own specialties as well as cool equipment for you to use, so it might be easier to take on robots from certain colonies, but it could also be vice versa. Here are the colonies:
Spacetech: Destrier, Cossack, Jesse, Gl. Patton, Vityaz, Golem, Doc, Rogatka, Griffin, Natasha, Butch, Ao Qin, Fury, Hover, Raven, Ao Guang, Falcon, Nightingale, Ao Jun
Defense and Security Conglomerate (DSC): Gareth, Fujin, Rhino, Carnage, Raijin, Lancelot, Rayker, Invader, Bulwark, Behemoth, Blitz

Also, each of the colonies gets a boost depending on their specialties:
Spacetech: Jump and flight drives are strengthened, and they are 30% faster and longer. Agility Focused)
DSC: Shields are strengthened by 15%. (Defense Focused)
Icarus Technologies: Depending on the robots it either gains 10% extra attack power or 15% extra speed. (Standard)
Evolife: Healing is increased by 20%, all non-healing robots gain 5% extra attack power and 5% extra speed. (Healing Focused)
Yan-di Ventures: Stealth robots gain a 30% speed boost for 10 seconds after using their ability. (Ambush Focused)
There are 50 missions in all; there are 10 missions against each other colony, and after you finish those 40, get a set of final extremely hard missions. You can choose whichever colony to fight first. Here are the prizes and tasks for the missions:
Mission 1: Domination. 2.5M Silver, 250 Gold, 500 Power Cells, 1 Crate

Item Shop and How To Unlock Robots, Modules, Etc.
You start of with your colony's weakest robot. It could be better then some others, but how do you upgrade from it, you ask?
Because every colony has a different amount of robots, each one unlocks robots at different times. The formula is 30 divided by the number of robots, and that number is the amount of missions needed to unlock one. If the number is a decimal number, then you will alternate between the two closest whole numbers as the amount of missions. For example, in Spacetech, you will unlock about 2 robots every 3 matches, or one after one match, then another after two. For missions 31-50, you will have unlocked all the robots from your colony, and at these levels, sometimes you will be able to unlock enemy robots in crates. By the way, your robots upgrade 1 level if they are component robots every beaten mission, 2 if they are a Gold-only robot, and 3 if they are normally a Silver-costing robot. Also, you unlock a new hangar slot after beating the first mission, 4th mission, 10th mission, 15th mission and 25th mission.
In terms of weapons and modules, you will obtain these from the crate(s) you get after you beat a mission. They unlock immediately after the battle like a normal Crate, and they can have cool items in them. They can come at any level between MK1 Level 1-12, and they have a better chance of coming at a higher level the better the crate. Only Mega Crates are an exception. They always come at MK2 Level 1-4. After you beat a set of 10 missions, the crates will increase in rarity by one. Finally, weapons level up one level every 2 missions. The crates are:
Bronze Crate: Silver Weapons. Weapons come at Level 1-3.
Silver Crate: Silver/Gold Weapons. Weapons come at Level 4-6.
Gold Crate: Gold/Component Weapons and Gold Modules. Weapons come at Level 7-9.
Diamond Crate: Component Weapons and Gold Modules. come at Level 10-12.
Mega Crate: Component Weapons and Chance Of A Component Robot. Weapons come at MK2 Level 1-4.
Bosses
The way bosses will work will vary from each colony. The boss fights will be explained under here:
Spacetech: Spacetech's boss fight will be a 6v6 fight against the Dragon robots. However, they will all get a buff. Each Dragon has a 15% damage buff, 20% speed buff and their abilities last 30% longer.
DSC: DSC's boss fight will be a 6v6, and they will have 5 Blitzes, 5 Behemoths, 5 Bulwarks, 5 Invaders and 5 Lancelots. The shields on the robots will have 15% extra health.
Icarus Technologies: Their boss will be a Giant Ares. The Boss will have 100,000 health, and for every robot in your hangar, it gets 40,000 more. However, the Retribution cooldown will be 25 seconds.
Evolife: the Evolife boss will be a Nodens, but all your robots get a 10% damage buff.
Yan-di Ventures: The Yan-di boss will be a 1v1, but your opponent has a Scorpion for every robot in your hangar. However, the Scorpions have 35% Damage Resistance instead of 50%.
Final Boss: You must face the ultimate War Robots mercenary, against his team of 5 Titans. You will get to choose 5 Robots and 2 Titans to take him on.
What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments, because you guys might have some good ideas.
