So Garbage game got me thinking of something in another thread. Significant costs can be saved by using lower tiered bots and weapons. In that vein, I wanted to start investigating this by seeing what everyone else's opinions are. Afterall, opinions are like 「multiple bum-bums」, we all have one! List your top-5 Tier 3 bots you'd use in your hanger if you weren't going to use bots from any other tier. Let's use RightOn's signature as a reference as I assume it's been kept up to date. Before I jump into mine, I'll try to list a few pros/cons for Tier 3 bots. Pros: Cheaper (both to acquire and to upgrade) - If you were wanting to take all bots to Mk2, you'd save ~130 mil/bot Less weapons to upgrade - a quick look over the list shows me that none of the bots have more than 3 weapons slots. You save some resources here too. Less module slots to fill - this will also be a con Challenge of using "inferior" bots can be invigorating Cons: Generally less effective Generally less bells and whistles Less module slots Some older Tier 4 bots have been moved into this category, so there are plenty to choose from. Based on what I've used and what I've seen used, my Tier 3 hanger would probably look like this: Cerberus - Either Flames, Taser or Atomizer class weapons with a fortifier for good measure Rayker - Nucleon/Quarker here fur sure Strider - I'd probably go Cryo here and this is my beacon runner. Mender - " Ⓑⓞⓑ Ⓓⓨⓛⓐⓝ's behind me in a Mender!" lol Pursuer - with the Legendary Pilot I'd do Quarkers if I could, but Shredders or Sparks would work great too. For this exercise, try to pick 5 bots, even if you'd run multiples of the same bot (I see you Hover pilots out there!) GO!

The thing about this is you don’t really save that much if you fill it up with premium weapons. For example, a Cryo Raven costs more than a Cryo Ravana. The pricing is so screwed up. Weapons is where the big expense is. Storm Ravana trumps any Cryo builds.
Anyway, this sounds like my hangar ?
4 Bulgasari and 1 Inquisitor. A Tier 3 All-Star hangar masterpiece ?

I have a T falcon, Raven, Tyr, Fenrir, ND blitz as my tier 2s.
Tier 1s for me are still Phantom, Nightingale and Ravana.
Just realized you asked for tier 3s....all's I got are non levelled Cerebrus, Lanceot, and Fury that could qualify...don't even use my Haechi or Bulg anymore.

I run the Cerberus in my main hanger so definitely that would be there! Funny, I've been building out some lower tiered bots going back to what I had enjoyed in my previous account.
Rayker and Falcon are two others I am looking to do. Other than that, hard to say. Maybe Hover and probably Strider.

Lol, I'm your T3 guy, wasn't even aware of it until now, so, here's what I like to play Regularly rotate bots and weapons from the screenshot. Falcon is regular, usually avenger and 2 x glacier Hellburner is also usually full cryo Rayker gets leadhose or viper-shredder or some mix of it Blitz is sometimes quaker-shredder, hover is sometimes PDB so on so on

I run a Nucleon/shredder Rayker in my main hanger. That isn’t going anywhere, it is a solid anti Ming platform and wrecks Lokis, which makes it very valuable as a late game drop. In my 2nd hanger (long range/open map hanger) I have a gecko Pursuer equipped with LD ammo and Basil Legendary Pilot. It’s a very good early game drop for harassing the reds and stopping them from getting to beacons, or trapping reds in the open for my team mates to wreck. I have recently built a Falcon and I am going to experiment with than in my main hanger, as an option to replace my Fenrir. I haven’t worked out if I want it as a t-falc tank or a regular falcon, I had 2 spare pilots that I rolled for skills for and one got a tier 3 traditionalist skill on a random roll so I can experiment both ways. I have a Clive blitz in my main hanger with rime/magnums. He’s usually my 2nd drop for mopping up stray phantoms and beat up ravanas. Then I often use him to push a red home beacon forcing 2 or 3 reds to come back from the center beacon main push to deal with him.
Cerebus and Strider are on my want list.

At some point Hover got a silent buff. I am serious this time. I think it was at the same time they limited the vertical ceiling, so the same update as jump. Hover can fly indefinitely. Now jump is dandy, it gives a lot of forward speed. Hover can fly forever without it though and can pick up speed if you know how to fly. Even turns are possible. This greatly outweighs its lack of defenses because with the right technique Hover is a dream. The other 4? Hellburner, Mender, Rayker...Strider

If I'm not playing the Vits, my current other hangar averages out to T3.
Raven, Weyland, Haechi, Loki, Griffin
So, I'd probably swap my Rayker in for the Loki and put my second Raven in for the Griffin. Though honestly with the Griffin (molots) at L8 with the Legendary Pilot, it might be better than the second Raven (L6, no pilot).

This is easy. I run/ran all of these. For my list, I'm also limiting myself to Tier 3 or lower weapons. PDB Raven (this is my current brawler) RDB Raven (I have Mk2L12 rockets, but lately I've shelved them for 600m weapons) Pursuer with Magnums Leadhose Cerberus
And I'd probably add a Falcon with Avenger center and Exodus wings for fun.

my 2ndary, "fun" hangar has always been mostly Tier 3 stuff... limited weapon choices, so they arent currently my ideal.
Cerberus - Redemeer/Tarans Strider - Glacier/Rimes Nemesis - Coronas (FAVORITE all time bot) Rayker - Calamity/Sparks Bulgasari - Scourges
Id actually like to put the quarker type waepons Nemesis, then id be a bit more happy with this 2ndary hangar. I regularly switch out this 2nd hangar with fun bots: others i choose but arent all T3, Ravana, Invader, Ao Guang, Lancelot (ghost!), Haechi, Kumiho, Hover... loved these ones too (Ravana is kind of more if i want higher damage output in match for some reason, teams, TDM, etc)

Falcon is probably the best “bang” for your buck mech. If you’re really limited in silver, T-falcons need only one weapon, while regular falcons are devastating when kitted out with vipers/avengers (relatively cheap to level). Tridents also work, and very cheap to level up. Many people underestimate the non traditional falcon, but if you think of it as a jumping 50kph fury that has DR during reload, it’s a pretty good bot.

It's intrigued me, but I've been quite concerned about squishiness. So, mine is, of course, L6. It has a L6 Glacier and a L8 Ancile on it. Also one of the 3 non Vit pilots I kept after the pilot remake. I'm in Masters so 80% of the time (in games vs champs) it doesn't last long at all in direct combat. In M/E games it can last pretty well. But it all hinges on getting to where I can do the most good with the healing And secondarily, the ancile. When I have smart teammates it can be wonderful and a real force multiplier. I miss being able to climb dreadfully.

At one point had Heavy Armor Kit and L4 armor and armor expert. Even with road hog it feels slow and it is hard to get to a spot to heal others well without getting creamed. Everything else is so fast. When climbing still worked it added another dimension and real usefulness. I just benched it a few weeks ago, felt like I was just giving red a big pile of damage points with nothing in return. If it was a little faster, it would help. I really dislike AJs, but currently that is a far superior 2 heavy platform.

No, I was serious. I never ran spider mechs so I was never really hip to the nuances of their game play. I also quit the game for 6-9 months so I’m still learning about a lot of the changes since Leech + Phase Shift + Phantom.

An easy way to identify a tier 3 bot is they all have 2 passive module slots.
