Yeah, no, I'm not sure there is a mediterranean way to grill a steak... You see, where I'm from, we cut our cows differently, and don't have any steak culture whatsoever. OK, so I may be a pioneer and have just invented a Mediterranean way to grill a steak. I don't know much about it, in fact, this was the very first time I did it, at, the coast, island of Krk, under the sky of stars.
Here's the sky of stars:
Sorry it's not Bubble space telephone resolution like...
Anyways, I got this pair of 330 grams Rib eyes which I seasoned generously with freshly grinded salt and black pepper:
I also made vege kebabs. Tomato from kebabs is home grown, my 5yo kid picked it up from an old dude who picked them from his garden on our way back from the beach, funny story, my kid always gets the best stuff old dude got an ice cold beer from me in return. Yeah, I always have an ice cold beer nearby, it's kind of my thing... Old dude was pretty happy about the trade also. ?dookie?, he must of been 35...
I have seasoned kebabs with olive oil, lemon juice, freshly chopped rosemary, which I also picked up from someone's yard on my walk from the beach, salt and pepper. The things a man have to do to get some ã??meowã?... Jeez...
I have built an insane glow:
Oiled up the grill and threw my steaks on:
Drank some from the selection of sparkling and local white wine, yeah, I had both.
After 4 minutes I turned them around and oiled them up with oliveoil using rosemary branches:
After 3 minutes i removed them from the grill onto a big plate and covered them with aluminium foil to rest. While they were resting, I grilled the kebabs. After the kebabs were done, I served the steaks with previously prepared garlic-parsley butter, chopped up garlic and parsley, added into a melted butter and chilled until hardened and kebabs:
My god it was heaven!
My wife said its the best steak she ever had, but I think she's just trying to get into my pants...
No seriously, it was amazing!
Grilling steaks is such a hard work, I better get laid tonight...
