Once upon a time, many people kept asking for the ability to have multiple hangars. I believe the reason was two-fold: 1) We wanted the ability to have an all-brawler hangar for small maps, and a large map hangar that had at least one or possibly two MR/LR builds, and 2) We were wanting a better inventory and equipment management system. At the steep cost of 7500Au, a mere second hangar did not and does not resolve the need for a more streamlined inventory and equipment management system. However, a second hangar did perform the intended function. Many of us had enough inventory decently leveled that allowed two hangars to perform quite well. Then, some major changes happened to the upgrade system, and modules and pilots were introduced. I don’t denounce the introduction of all these things, because they have created a more interesting and complex system, and I understand that Pixonic is a business that aims to create new content revenue streams. However, these things have decommissioned the use of multiple hangars for anyone but those who can spend a lot of money. For hangars to have optimal performance in today’s top leagues, you’re looking at 10 high leveled mech, each with decently promoted pilots, and upgraded premium modules. It is difficult to accomplish that even with 5 mechs in one hangar when you consider the steep cost of all that content, even for those who pay a decent amount of money. So what this has done is removed the ability to have two equipped hangars for the two sizes of map; the second hangar has simply become an inventory. We have paid 7500Au to have an inventory, that due to incapacity to fully equip it, makes it no different than all the other equipment we have in storage. Please note that I said “ optimal performance in today’s top leagues”. While it is possible to do ok in these leagues using lower level gear, pilots, and non-premium mods, this second hangar of lower gear will not provide the optimal degree of competitive play against better equipment. Personal skill does of course need to be factored in, but in so many cases skill will not be enough to outperform the skilled play of an opponent with better equipment. For these reasons, the use of 7500Au to open a second hangar is really wasteful these days, when that much gold should be devoted to - Pilot promotions, and - The acquisition of premium modules If a time ever comes when you have enough gear to finally build two fully equipped hangars, by all means, open a second one so you can do what this system was originally designed for. I’m actually embarrassed to have not 2 but 3 hangars. It’s like I’m wearing a big “SUCKA!” sign whenever anyone looks at my profile. Wish Pixonic would let us sell them back.  ?? |

I always thought the biggest draw to multiple hangars came when we had to deal with random assignment of game mode AND battlefield...
You could be placed in BR/TDM/DOM/KOTH in any battle and those with hangars set up for multiple battle types, even with lower level but better prepared bots, had a big advantage...
Now...you can choose to play the game you like and set up ONE hangar for that...

Now...you can choose to play the game you like and set up ONE hangar for that... A lower level but better prepared bot might be a "spare" LEO with MOLOTS/KANG DAE or GEKKOS/NASHORN in TDM....or STALKERS on KOTH... I play BR almost exclusively, please pardon my rough examples... |

i never bought into the Whole thing with extra Hangars, now what i would Spend real Money or 10kAu or even 20kAU is a 6th Bot alternate and a 2nd Titan Option Slot to drop.

Pretty major disadvantage for Silver starved players. |

I have all 5 hangars, having coughed out the 30k Au to do so, and would buy 5 more if allowed.
Of course I'm a corner case since in general I decide which of my 5 hangars I'm playing before I even hit the fight button and have no interest in league position.
The trick here is that the extra hangars are awesome for custom battles, such as for 6 Pack. Last night was case in point where I prepped 5 hangars for Fight Club and used all 5, two of them twice, in the 7 games we got in.
I'm most definitely not who Pix is designing this game for. If the leagues are your thing, everything Ogre says is spot on.

Solution at that time was to create different game modes and force players to play random modes. To do better players had to build mode specific hangers and with consideration to different maps. not because people wanted different hangers. It was a poor monetisation approach. The uproar started, countless people quit the game. It was loud. So loud that they eventually caved in. They lied about not having the ability to make proper matchmaking unless they forced modes. That was hog wash. So they allowed for mode choice. Once that happened the concept of multiple hangers become redundant. they nerfed that monetisation mechanism. Just like they nerfed the MK2, the time needed for MK2 and many other in game things. |

I have all five hangar slots open! It's ok, because for me, I value variety (and laziness) over power. This way, I get to play any of my 5 hangars in any given game/map. I have no interest in duking it out in the upper Champs levels. With the bots that I have, even at their relatively low levels, I can't even stay in Masters 1 and get pushed into Champs early in the season. |

sadly I admit i tried to pull this off with having a large map hangar and a small map hangar. I was making decent progress but one day it dawned upon me how stupid I was being and put together my best 5 bot hangar that would also allow me to be just fine on Canyon or Yama. Lesson learned. Concentrate on one bot or weapon at a time.

I’ve been playing before the Brit bots were introduced, and in all this time I never purchased another hanger. It was quite obvious that Pix was trying to make money. If they wanted a cool feature they should have implemented the 7500 cost to have two hangers that can have the same bot in each hanger. I know ... wishful thinking.
Now with titans, you’re correct. It’s completely useless. The dynamics of every game mode usually ends with Titans. Small and big maps don’t matter. You need 2 to 3 brawlers to get the titan bar filled and then 2 to 3 titan killers, mainly Au Juns, as they seem to be the only viable titan counter, to finish once your titan goes down. Or if you have a maxed titan .... prosper. That’s what’s wrong with this meta. It’s too formulaic.

I use my second hangar for LR bots and maps.
That's what I tell myself. I don't actually have any LR bots. I really, really don't need a second hangar at all ... what a waste of gold.

You may remember that I've discussed EXACTLY this with you and I just can't swing a well-kitted second hangar. One additional bot? Sure. A 2nd hangar full of Last Stand and Heavy Armor Kit and TNRs? No. Way. And yet some of the news lately is that you CAN score well with 1.9 bots and weapons without Last Stand. Not me, I need my crutches. |

I began playing five years ago when Griffins were the bots to fear. Still have my original three. Sigh.
There was no way I would be able to supply, let alone maintain a second hanger. Throughout the years I chuckled at the Pixonic messages that encouraged getting additional hangers. I kept my single hangar and moved along swapping out bots as needed.
When the Titans stomped on the scene, it was a kick in the face that each hanger would need a Titan. I avoided some wasted gold.

I have 5 hangars. One I won in a forum giveaway, the other three I got when they were doing the 1k AU per hangar weekend. It's a nice way to organize my collection.
The main hangar goes without saying, it's my all maxed fully kitted primary hangar.
The 2nd one is all maxed previous meta and fun bots hangar. It holds four of my no longer used AC modules, as well as a couple of heavy armor modules and two maxed Thermonuclear Reactor which got replaced by Overdrive modules in my main hangar and then the maxed non premium modules I used back in the day before I managed to collect my premium modules. I use this hangar for variety and when we run into randoms while doing squad. Also for levelling up new pilots.
3rd hangar is even older meta maxed gear. Think orkan Bulgasari etc. This one is mostly a museum, I don't really run it.
4th hangar is my 6-pack lineup.
5th hangar is where I store the stuff I'm currently levelling but isn't yet battle ready.
TLDR. One would probably have been enough. Two is for variety. The rest for ease of access and showing off.

I am myself perplexed by seeing the price of second hangar.
What surprised me is that we cannot reuse same bot / weapons in multiple hangars in different combination which breaks the deal for me.
Locking pilot to a specific bot is again an ewwww rule. It’s okay to have the special skill locked to a specific bot but other skills should be free and applicable to all bots ( considering the gold required to promote a pilot ). It helps lower league players while the higher league chase those new special skills and fancy bots.
Maybe I am asking little too much from Pix who barely listened to the cries of its past user base. But these has to be done to allow F2P players to compete in easy way with slightly less special skills and powers.

Pilot #RG# : Pix tends to paint the players and themselves into a corner. All we can do is look for ways to wiggle out. One way to wiggle is to invest in modules (armor kits etc) and to a lesser degree Drones/chips. About a year ago I finished leveling 10 x heavy armor kits and 5 x Last Stands. Yes, that took quite a while. Since then I've only leveled one Over Drive and one Cloak. I'm not even using the overdrive right now. Go figure. BUT! By staying focused on my original plan that lets me hang onto Ag and not wander around dabbling in this or that (that winds up collecting dust.) Drones are still "Meh" but Pix ACTUALLY did something right. There's seven drones in the hangar. You can have some that lean toward small maps and some for larger maps. Maybe. Just a thought. I'm not even sure how to implement that. And MOST importantly drones and their chips will move from bot to bot and hangar to hangar. I know, it's kind of lipstick on a pig but I guess I can be a silver lining guy. ѻﻭɼﻉ Brainstorming: Like drones, Pix should change every hangar to be a 7 bot/1 Titan hangar but only 5 bots and 1 Titan are deployable per match. We've been talking about this for a while and now we know that it's possible, duh. Anyway, I'm still enjoying the game, too many Hawks and all.

Got all five but paid 4K for them and I use two all the time and a third for special maps last two are for sorting things I hardly sell xtra bots so I collected a whole bunch usually keep 2 of the same kind, I guess you could say I'm building Noah's ark for bots

Just refuse to upgrade anything beyond level 9 and problem solved. Sort of. This is basically no different than the way Pixonic ruined the playability of the game: - by switching from hangar based matching to league based matching,
- or speedster robots that move faster than a 20 story high robot should,
- or the hamster wheel of the new-shiny that beats everything else until it gets downgraded for the next new-shiny,
- or 20 "special offers" every time you log in (has Pixonic never heard about the boy who cried wolf?),
- or my new pet peeve the swishy, flashy, lights everywhere.
