Got 2 Atomizer and a Nucleon looking for a good mech.
Given that they have unlimited ammo (I do realize they overheat], thinking brawler types. Cerberus or Fenrir?
Any better ideas?

Fenrir, falcon (especially Tskill if you use it), phantom to some extent, and raven (your jumps bring you close fast enough to ignore the spread apparently). Also bots like fatty, invader, weyland, mender, and probably HB to some extent.
There are more but it is always gonna be the bots that do well in constant fighting.

My issue is I specifically have 2 mediums and 1 heavy.
My Lance is only 2.2...thinking it would get slaughtered.

I figured the nemesis with its 500m rockets and short fire playstyle would best suit atomizers. I'm just waiting to get one more and then it'll be in action for sure. The nucleon would do well on a falcon.

  I just rushed my one and only atomizer from level 1.1 to 1.9 at the cost of 41m Ag and about 2000Au (that's a rare once in a while thing). I can't believe the improvement over a level 1.10 Punisher T. It feels like it's putting out way more damage and the zero reload is a huge advantage. These weapons need to go on bots that get in close, fast! |

I just got 500 Comps for Atom, finishing my second one. Might be time to move GhostLance into my fun hanger. My 1 Atom is 1.11 on Mender w 2.6 Shredders. Not bad, but will need a buff to get more sales out of it. |

I just rushed my one and only atomizer from level 1.1 to 1.9 at the cost of 41m Ag and about 2000Au (that's a rare once in a while thing). I can't believe the improvement over a level 1.10 Punisher T. It feels like it's putting out way more damage and the zero reload is a huge advantage. This is the exact opposite of my conclusions up until now... however, I am thinking that it may be due to the level of opponents that I have been facing since about the time I got my Atomizers up to 1.10. More on that in a moment.... I actually got that Nucleon on a lucky chest last night... and like you I rushed it up to 1.10 to match my Atomizers. Something I haven't done in a while but I had the Au for just such a reason... although I was hoping for a Quarker or two. Then I did what I said above and threw it on my 1.12 Lance. It lasted long enough but even though I got a few kills, nothing felt as good as the 1.10 Viper and 2x 1.12 Scourges that they replaced... not even if you consider the level differences in the Scourges vs the Atomizer. BUT... I noticed something that may be part of the issue... every time I have ran anything with Atomizers while I was paying attention, it has been against a bot with DR active. Viper is much better suited for that and since I tend to get pretty close, Scourges are just powerful up close. So... I think my impression of the whole weapon family has been skewed by one of the things that are direct counters to it. So... while I still want to see a buff, I am going to try this build out for a while and try to notice how it acts against other types of bots... if possible. Since I got into Champions League there are a LOT more bots that are either constantly DR or have an ability that lasts a long time that gives them DR and the player only exposes themselves while it is active. Will report back if anyone is interested. Oh yeah, OP... Lance is still one of my best performing bots even though I see a lot more hangars at full max Mk 2. 2.4 is not that much better than 1.12. I have my highest level pilot on Lancey Poo, though, with all the durability skills I could get along with Ghost. Even in the game above after facing Phantoms, Leeches, and a T-Fal, it took a Titan to put it down. I started with this bot too... so it lasted until the Titans came out. Obviously you have to be aware of Cryos and I don't just stand there and take all damage... but still, it does outstanding for an old workhorse. For Reference:   IMO, YMMV |

For me, I think my issue is that I really have no idea how to play Lance. Obviously, the plunging into battle thing doesn’t work... |

SNIP... Will report back if anyone is interested. So far, I am still NOT happy with the Atomizer Nucleon build, am giving it till Sunday or Monday, but will prolly go ahead and put Viper Scourge back on. |
