Beacon capping with Noodles?
My noodle is currently level 65. More often than not, my teammates tend to play too conservatively for my taste. Especially when I'm in a floating bowl of Noodles. Even when my teammates drop their Titans, they stand back and attack from distance. Usually on Yam when the center beacon is Red, they hang back and lob missiles over center. I feel it's my duty to rush center beacon and reclaim it. I've done this successfully many times even when held by Reds or when Arthurs are spawning on the other side. In my last battle, I spent a lot of time defending center beacon on Springfield which became a little boring. I usually run out towards the farm killing Reds while keeping an eye on the beacon behind me. I finally dropped my Noodle and headed towards the farm. I had a Blue Ming on my shoulder, but he was playing safe just out of range. As I approached the farm, I took out an Arthur all the while inching sideways towards the farm beacon. As the Arthur went down, a Ming spawned nearby but he kept backing out of range. Beacon turned, we were able to take out the Ming. He couldn't back up forever. At that point my teammates used the newly turned beacon to spawn and head towards the Red home beacon. I had to return to the center beacon which was being harassed by a DW Ao Jun. I got there just as the beacon turned then took out the Jun and reclaimed the beacon. Running back and forth between center and the farm is rough when you only go 40km per hour. Yeah, Noodles is fun.

Tell me your Noodle story. So, um, I don't know what the heck this is all about or how a "Noodle" translates into a game thing, but.....um.......that's the euphamism for male genitalia what we taught our kids when they were young.
So.........uh...........about your thread title....

Just a coincidence. It turned into a running joke though. When the Nodens was leaked, it looked like an upturned bowl of noodles. Being that Nodens and Noodles are closely related phonetically, it stuck. You'll find many posts on FB referring to Nodens as Noodles (kind of a nickname) going way back.

My Noodle can really do some damage. Good for Beacon capping, Ming swatting and tide turning. As long as I have competent teammates and we’re not matched against a death squad it’s a great bot to have on your team.

My Noodle is pretty hard to kill, so I started working on the Engine again. I’m not really concerned with speed. It’s a Titan. What seems to be beneficial is the ability damage to allow me to take bigger chunks out of Mings when my guns go silent. I’ve been swatting or assisting up to 3 Ming kills a battle. I need to upgrade my weapons, but I’m hoping to get some Cyclones. Yeah, I like playing with my Noodle.

Well. If you show me your noodles I’ll show you mine: I saved up platinum for 6 months while Arthur/Kid/Ming ruled. Figuring something else would come along, pixonic style. Never purchased platinum, but gathering the 30 ‘free’ daily offering, and recently the 600 for the Operations. Patience pays in this game... It is slow, and no beacon capper. But can turn a battle with switched on randoms, and heals like no mender or Weyland could . Now the Beta weapons are being levelled its a force to be reckoned with. I find that when camped on a beacon its the Ravanas of this world that gather at my noodles and nibble away. Phase shifting and gold cloaking to no avail. They become like flies around a buffalo, a nuisance but best ignored.

Now I see how you can afford to level to 50 daddio86 while mine's not quite there. I have two maxed PLKs to your 3 lvl 14s.

Mine is hard to play with because I use only Retaliators (I don't want to spend that much platinum to buy better weapons) and because if a wall is short enough to peek over it's short enough for Ao Mings to reach you. I've had to learn that, sometimes, I can do nothing more than simply sit in the back and help my team. But that's okay, if I wanted to charge into battle I would have stuck with an Arthur. I much, much prefer playing with this noodles as a good support teammate. ("Oh, thank you so much for healing me!" "Crud, curse you for weakening my weapons!")

erik1 I have lvl 1 Retaliators on mine yet It's a delicate balance between support and attack. You just have to be careful. Build up your Hull and Core and pick up a couple PAKs and you'll be killing Kids and AMs in no time. An Arthur takes a bit more endurance.

I just pulled a QS from the 300 Token Chest today...and I like it! I was starting to become frustrated with the ankle-biters(Loki) taking beacons and allowing me no recourse but to push the little buggers out of the ring while in my Nodens. Now I can squash the little cockaroaches. I found a nice counter to Nightingale too. They're flying above, thinking their untouchable and blam, blam, blam. Either they get outta dodge or become a pile of rubble. I'm very happy. I guess I'll have to focus on maxing QS before I finish maxing my Noodle.

I have a maxed Quantum Sensor so I have a 350m ring around me where I can kill all manner of stealth bots. If I see them early enough, they don't even get close. Recently, I've been upping my Ming killing tally. I can kill them with every bot in my hangar, but it's funnier when I use squiddy. I killed 2 Ming in a row a few minutes ago. They could have remained out of range of my Retaliators, but they got just in range. I got 4 today so far. Don't worry, I took screenshots.
I'm so glad I decided to concentrate on leveling my Noodle. So much fun!

I loooooooooooooooooove my Noodles! Again, if I had to pick one robot from War Robots to get a plush toy of, this would be it. Such fun to play with, and I love being able to heal my team with it.
My Noodles stories and thoughts to add to or agree with what Browncoats4ever has said:
* Hovering is fun, but also annoying on ramps and stuff. I love how the arrow on its head rotates when you use its ability, but often I'm too occupied in the game to pay attention to it. * I use Retaliators. 500m is a poor range, but the damage output and the ability to demolish Arthur shields makes up for it. One could use Cuirassiers to attack Ao Mings, I suppose, but I'm pretty sure a "Dragoon" Nodens would lose a fight against a "Dragoon" Ao Ming. * It's especially fun when there are two Nodens healing each other. It's good teamwork, but also playful. * Of course, Noodles vs Noodles is quite annoying. * A Nodens is meant for support. An Arthur is a tank / beacon bot, a Kid is an assault / beacon bot, an Ao Ming is a gunship, and a Nodens is a team support bot. Yes, you can kill, take beacons, etc. but not normally from the front lines. Even after the Ao Ming nerf, I find that I can die if I'm not careful. * I'll be getting a QS too. Lokis, Ao Juns and even Nightingales can be such annoying little things. * Story time: One time that I found weapons firing to be helpful communication was when another Nodens was deployed with mine. I saw a blue Ao Ming in trouble. I quickly fired at the other blue Nodens to get his attention, then fired towards the Ao Ming, after finally which I healed the Ao Ming. And the other Nodens understood! He healed it too! Moral: Team communication is important!

Made good use of the 25% off Titan upgrades. I went from level 92 to 126 spending 2300Pt and saving about 575Pt overall. So glad I passed on all the 10% off upgrades. If I ever decide on a weapon load out, I’ll upgrade them. I’m hoping to win another Squall and a Cyclone to see how the combo goes. It’s working pretty well at the moment. I can take the battle to the Reds with more confidence. I can sit on Center Beacon on Carrier for a pretty good stretch if I have to. Still enjoying the Noodle.

Noodles is a fun, big bumbling reverse leech. He’s been my main titan as of late. My only problem has recently been Arthur’s. They can always peek over cover and get me, and my 4 betas have trouble taking care of the massive health pool that is their shield lol. Otherwise though, being a big support titan is a fun change of gameplay in comparison to every other titan, meant for assault.

Peeking over buildings is my favorite part of running an Arthur. It does a fantastic job stopping assaults and dealing with Goon Mings. It's in my FU hangar now. I switched over to Nodens for a couple reasons.
First, with all the shells around came more fire and ice setups. Getting caught with my pants down was becoming too common.
Second, I needed a better healer to pump honor for event coins. I refuse to pay for them, so gotta optimize earning them. I was running a Tyr, but it couldn't outheal blue Nodens.
Third, i felt an Arthur "readjustment" was on the horizon. It's too effective imo for the cost. Perhaps not though. Titans overall seem rather balanced.
Hey Browncoasts, have you upgraded your guns at all yet? Looks like you've been focusing on the Titan first. Amazing how effective they are standalone.
Oh, one other thing I noticed with Nodens is my average dmg score dropped quite a bit after switching over from Arthur. My dmg output per battle is significantly higher overall because healing, but that doesn't get factored into the average. Not that it really matters though, I know. For some reason my ego is tied to it.

I feel like they’re too specific to be widely useful. On carrier where movement is restricted, sure. Any other map and any mode besides tdm? Too easy to ignore and run circles around. Usually they attract a friendly Arthur or two and by the time that slow moving mob has formed I’m free to cap beacons in my Minos while they helplessly lose. Your can have center, I’ll take your two back beacons.
