I'm Diamond III. Just finished a match in which the reds had a tanker but still won, 5 vs 6. One red was particularly impressive so I thought I would check him at the end of the match. To my surprise, he was Champions League, but only finished fourth for damage dealt.
I then clicked through all the profiles to see what else I had been up against and it turned out their team consisted of 3 x champions league (clan) and 2 x master; the guy who dropped out was also champions league.
My team had 1 x champions league, 1 x master, 2 x expert and 2 x diamond (one lvl2 and me at lvl3).
This begs two questions - why were the teams so lopsided and why was I even in that match at all?
What is the worst balanced match you've encountered?

What is the worst balanced match you've encountered? I have experienced a lot more of this the past 3-4 days where the squads just seem to be imbalanced with the same type of mismatches you are seeing. I was in Expert 1 but with the slew of losses just slid back to Expert 2, but the reds seemed to have more Champion players, and then the expected Masters, Expert and Diamonds....but now I am getting Gold and Silver players in the squads and they tend to be on the blue squad and not red...so it is like MM is stacking the deck against the blue squad. I haven't had very many matches where the opposite is true. Feels like the rubber banding is happening more lately in morning matches in the USA. I've pretty much stopped playing mornings because of it.....seems like less rubber banding later in the day. Or the issue with last minute substitutions and whoever is available is thrown in. Oh well....just keep reducing my playing time as playing less is the only way I enjoy the game now.

I am Diamond II and it happens quite frequently. I think its because how fast the MM puts us into a match, so if it doesnt manage to search for players in the same tier as us at that short time waiting for matches, it puts players from other leagues to fill up.

I get the MM rubber banding thing which might explain why there can be such a wide range of leagues in one match, but at the very least you would expect Pix to be able to distribute them more fairly.
In my example above, 3 of the champs were in a clan, so they had to be together, but why not have put the next best three on the other team and split the lowest ranking players?

. I posted this in another thread but maybe it's more appropriate here.......
Yesterday I had to spend all day at a relatives house who was recovering from a back surgery and I had nothing to do but play the game. I'm pretty sure I played nearly 50 games. Probably 75% of them were a travesty with 5 blues vs. 6 reds (with several being only 4 blues). And a good share of those had 1 or 2 blues never move an inch. Once I watched the clock hit zero and 3 blues dropped over immediately. And just for good measure the other team almost always had far superior bots / weapons. My win percentage meter went from 68% to 46% by last night. I just kept plugging away for more silver (I think I got 2 or 3 units of gold) as I'm trying to build a better hangar. Also, why do I constantly keep starting on the same side of every board ? How can that be ?
Today, pretty much the same thing so I'm now at 38%. I could go on ad nauseam but why bother.
Just for the record, I never quit a game and always play the board given to me. .

I've always had the impression that MM for some reason seems to "have it in for me" in batches, where I will go match after match on completely lopsided teams. Sometimes I lose 10 in a row even if I do top damage in most of them and get my share of beacons as well. I'm not sure if this is real or if just my imagination, but it seems to be a pattern that repeats itself every few weeks.
OP: Yesterday I had a game where MM decides to put a 3-slot hangar level 24 player from gold-3 into a match with mostly champion and a few master players. Naturally, he had to be on my team.

Small comfort, but it's not your imagination - I've posted about this before and had plenty of replies confirming the same. I've just come off the back of a two day stretch that saw my win rate go from 64% to 36%; thanks to the new league point distribution I lost about 175 points in the process. That streak came to an end yesterday and I am now back up to 54%. I have no doubt at all that it will climb a bit higher and then tumble again...

Win % in this game doesn't have any credibility imo.
And I'm starting to think the fabled "league where I should be" doesn't exist. If we are ever on it, we are never on it long enough to enjoy it because we shoot back up in points right back to fighting Champions again.
I'm waiting patiently to be put where I should be where I play mostly guys in my own league. Instead I see the same cycle. In the end I think you get to the "league where you should be" if you get max level hangars...then every league is where your gona be.

I basically use it as a quick reference of which way I'm trending. I wonder how PIX uses it ? .

Last night I had a few winning runs in Silver II league with my mostly 6/8 hanger. I went for 1 final match before turning in for the night. I knew things were not going to go well when I noticed every single other bot on my team and the reds all had fancy paint jobs. I obviously finished last. When I checked all the other bots (red and blue) they were all expert/Diamond league players with mostly all 12/12 bots. How the heck did I end up in that match? I think the MM must have been having a laugh at my expense.

Yesterday I also had few matches (10 or so). Lost most of them. Once, after 2 min I was 2vs6 and the opposing team was including a squad of 5. Other games were not much better. AS for the blues - sometimes I think that people play that bad on purpose; mostly feels like playing alone no support from anywhere. Need to squad more, just sometimes difficult to get together when timing is short.
