" Kinetic builds such as Tempest and Molot will do pretty good at suppressing fire against the plasma AM. At max range (800m), although these guns can hit AM, they will only slowly whittle at it, then they can self-heal. The optimal range of these kinetics is 400-500m to really do more severe damage. So personally, I myself would only choose them if I was either intending to merely play a suppression role, or mounting these weapons on something like a Bulwark. Pulsars, Wasps, Hussar Marquess, and LR energy or kinetic cannons will be more devastating than Tempests. Weapons that allow you to close to 600m, hit and retreat will do pretty well but you risk being hit, so timing and positioning will be important to reduce exposure. I would say, based on my experience, is the best mech for Pulsars, Wasps, and Hussars against plasma AM is Spectre because AM can't hit a stealth bot. Marquess Pursuer maybe. And definitely Dragoon Bulwark and Dragoon Ao Jun! Imo there are two particular things that will work best as anti-plasma AM: Weapons that can hit hard from beyond 600m; A Plasma Arthur" I'm not a 100% fan of this paragraph. If one is gonna put together an anti-AM bot then a Leech/Molot T is one of the more damaging, cost effective, and can even brawl here and there. This build has you walking the dangerous tightrope at 625m and is way more safe and effective than than any build at 599m. There's definitely good words up there, but against a well-funded French AM, we are all choosing if we want to die now or later. The Leech lets you die later. Lokis, although niche-y, should always be part of the anti-AM dialog especially for DOM games. Just observations; neither gospel nor a rant. And I'll say, "YMMV!" which absolves me of any BS stated above. In perpetuity.

@reroll There you go. As my original suspicions confirmed. Pulsar may not be sufficiently annoying. Although on a lance, you will probably get a lot more firepower with your shield. vin5240 who is usually firing at you with pulsars? Spectre peakaboo? Is actually usually ares or leech with pulsars. the spectres i see usually run tulums or vortex. I guess the only time pulsars may be annoying is if I'm trying to out range a machine gunner ao ming and I get lockdown and put in range of those guns. My squad used to do the same for when I ran machine guns still. Lockdown plasma ao ming, I fly in and take it down. I imagine the ares May be moderately successful depending on load out and range, seems as if leech only attacks briefly when your not looking and is otherwise useless. I’m asking obviously because I’m curious how a lance does. As it can sustain fire and do other bad things with whatever heavy it’s using

As an Ao Ming user, Ao Juns are my primary enemies and they are very good against my Ao Ming - possibly one of the best counters atm. Retribution bots that take cover / Ares trains work too. I have to fight (and beat) Max Ao Mings a lot. I'll share some info though I think I've said most of it already. Ao Mings self-heal so you need to do a fair bit of sustained damage to overcome their healing. Here is my current hangar: • High Level Ao Ming does well, but I often have to get in close first as they can usually fly away from my 500m Vengeances and keep firing. • 2.12 Flux Behemoth can hit from 1100m and behind cover, but takes too long to bring down it's health. Good on lesser Titans though. • Glacier Behemoth can one-shot some lesser Titans but can only hurt (and freeze) a Max Ao Ming with each full salvo. • 2.12 Avenger/Punisher T on 2.5 Fenrir-tank does okay-ish damage and can temporarily take the heat off less armored blues. Foolhardy Advanced Repair gives it some staying power. • 2.12 Storm Ravana works great and can cap beacons while at it. • 1.9 Fire & Ice Nightingale can suppress them and take beacons while at it. It can also heal blues. It's weapons can do some damage too. Some other builds I've used against them with success:• 1.9 Pulsar Leech is effective against normal bots and can annoy Ao Mings (and other Titans / bots) well if you can sneak your shots in without them hitting you back. Other than corner shooting, it can keep locking a distracted Ao Ming while hiding at 600m+. You can lock at least two Titans per clip. • Molot Leech is cheap fun. It still takes a while to hurt them, though. • Ao Jun might be the gold standard. It can freely hit Ao Mings while in stealth flight, hit them from the ground while they're distracted, get underneath them easily (can be useful depending), and land in places where it can shoot the Ao Ming without the Ao Ming being able to shoot it back.

I’ve always enjoyed reading about Ao Jun chasing Mings, getting underneath them, etc........
Can anyone here recall a time when you dropped your Ao Jun to go after a Ming, and that Ming was the last red in play? Me, neither.......
Those other pesky reds seem hellbent on making sure my Ao Jun can’t wander around with impunity.......so unfair!

I have a Pulsar / Marquess Ares with Quantum Radar to annoy Titans (like how you described) and to kill Ao Juns. It's the only bot I have with range, since I normally like to brawl. I know my Ares won't kill a max Titan, but it is a distraction to them at times. I am mainly targeting bots supporting the Titan (in addition to Ao Juns), and then doing the "「bum-bum」 to crack" maneuver behind a blue titan and using my shield. If I'm running solo or duos, I'm typically the Top Dog on my squad. 9 times out of 10 the game is over if the other Top Dog has a max Ao Ming, since I'm only running a Level 37 Arthur with Level 14 machine guns. So just trying to make due and figure out how to maybe get a better advantage.

A Behemoth with Tempests on the sides and Fluxes on the back might be a pretty decent non-niche setup. Fluxes discharge fast and can reload while walking. Trebuchets on the back would have less burst damage but work the same way too.
My 2.12 Flux 1.9 Behemoth with Double Phase Shift and L6+L1 Last Stand (so I don't lose any weapons) can be skilfully piloted to do well in Low Champions League battles but tends to be slow to cap beacons and weak against tanky high end Cryo Phantoms that can rush it.
My Punishers / Sharpshooter Avengers do pretty well against Titans from 500m away. It's supposedly due to the great accuracy against the huge size of the Titan. I think Shredders might work the same.

You can leech me if you want, Imma still pulvarize you when you come out. I won't ignore leech firing at me because x4 mediums hurt...I've fought some lances, it usually takes one full clip from all my weapons to destroy it's frontal shield. However it has 3 parts so maybe it can block more by shifting it's body idk.

I saw that. You are very skilled, so folks should keep that in mind. I really like the "low-budget" option in the Lancelot. Thanks for sharing. You might thinking I’m joking, but I am not. I really do think Lancelots are the hands down best non Titan answer to mings. the fact that it’s low budget (and to be frank, it’s not low budget really, at 130m to max) is a bonus. Most of the people who have trouble with mings are those who are not utilising expensive Titan solutions. with ghost, it’s fast, and dreadfully so. There is no other tank who can put out a similar speed, With that kind of Armor to stop a laser Ming. ao mings are big beefy targets which can ignore gimmick bots. Lancelots have no gimmicks to speak of, except for a frontal shield and godlike weapon hardpoint placements. so while gimmick bots wait in cover for the gimmick powers to cool down the lance can find a covered position and bring the pain. He can also hunt them down and finish the job. as we know pixonic brings the headsmans axe to all gimmicks, it’s best to utilise a robot whose gimmick is that it’s “meta stable” Ao Juns are still due for more nerfs. And if the titans get Quantum Radar, well then I guarantee you’ll be thankful you got yourself a trusty steed named chubbs. just my two cents. A footnote: should you want a more modern tank, you might consider a bulgisari. It would take some practic, and it’s not as fast, so hunting it could prove difficult, but you would get 3 medium wasp slots and an extra module slot. That’s a lot of fortification to its freakishly strong Pauldron of invincibility ... you could certainly ward them off. Damn Skippy. I'm running 3 maxed Lances. I agree 100%. They are still the best kept secret in War Robots. I have a tempest molot build for countering the Mings. It has enough firepower to get their attention but the real killer part is the speed. I can maintain just the right distance to deliver the pain and their is nothing the Ming can do but be a bullet sponge. Eventually, they go down or are forced to land. I think most Mings "get it" real quick that this guy is just gonna pummel me non stop and I will never be able to catch him to get in range....they tend to try to leave and go somewhere else.

I’m probably far better than you average lance player, but a single Lancelot can be very fatal to a max Ming, the missile Ming being the obvious exception

If there is less than 3 AMs I carefully maneuver my ares into position and let ‘em have it. Between maxes tarans, 1.10 rimes, and retribution + pilot skill it’s a lot of damage. I wait till the last second and when they think they can finely retaliate I Phase Shift and duck into cover. It’s very satisfying.
More than three, I jump into Arthur.
I run a pulsar leech but it’s just not strong enough. I use it to LD and harass at the beginning of the game to better effect.
Of course Ao Jun with maxed avengers works too but if get close enough to damage with flame I often have some red waste me when I land. Ares with rh is hard to catch for most.

Please excuse me if my reply here is redundant. Short on time.
TO COUNTER THE MING, it is of the utmost importance to identify if an enemy Nodens is on the field.
Nodens must be a first priority target where possible, even more so than plasma Mings, because the Nodens is what will make multiple Mings pretty much invincible, not only because of Heal stacking, but continuously cutting enemy damage output in half is a serious issue if you’re trying to eliminate Mings.

Cool....I had a red Noodles drop into battle today, dropped my Cyro/Orkan Spec in, snuck over that a way, pounced....almost got the kill! Left a small sliver my Lance deleted immediately thereafter...... The Cryos ore 1.6, Orkans 1.9 Been a long time since I’ve jumped into someone’s face and blew them away, lol

Very uhh...Arthur-like if i gotta go through that much hp. Not many missile mings around from what i've seen. Started seeing a lot of f2p players starting to get gendarmes but they are all low mings and they pair it with retaliators since they saving for cuirassiers.

Nobody mentions this much, but with Titans getting stronger day by day, and those with spenders maxing, I have been running a few builds with Death Mark....I need all the help I can get, and ice rockets plus death mark is pretty nasty. I don’t have one levelled yet, but I was toying with the idea of a death marking glacier bulwark. It could potentially get to the beast, and slay it, albeit with some very expensive equipment. I have a maxed Bully/Glaciers. I can tell you that the Glaciers take out only about 1/4 - 1/3 of a Minges health so you better be in for the long haul and have somewhere to hide as at Glacier range, the plasma bypasses your physical shield as well. It works well if other team members are around to take advantage of the extra snowflake damage. I have been having reasonably good results with...... I know it sounds dumb, Cerberus with Viper/Wasp combo. The Cerberus is quite tall so can shoot its Viper and 1 Wasp over obstacles and can corner shoot very well too. If they keep pushing forward, it puts them into the lockdown/suppression range as well. You can "pop out" of cover every so often as the aegis can take a couple of hits before you need to quickly find cover again.

It has munchkin weapon placements which allow for lopsided abuse in the right circumstance and a fast regenerating shield. It’s probably pretty strong against a Ming for similar reasons as the lance.

You all should find that Scorpion video where 1 Scorp pops in and kills Ming after Ming after Ming......pops to airborne balloons , shoots while falling out of sky, pops back home, repeats....lol
Crazy........so, Scorpion is on track as Ming counter/Killer, unless the live version is seriously nerfed.....
