Mi Mix 2S:
War Robots seems to be running at 60 fps. I did not see an option to change the visual detail but they'll probably add that, I hope. The Snapdragon 845, as expected, doesn't have any issues playing War Robots Remastered.
Nexus 6p:
Visually, it's identical to playing the game on the much faster phone. The framerate is inconsistent as to be expected, maybe somewhere in the 20 to 30 fps range with slow downs into the 15, but I'd consider it playable. Bear in mind, that the Nexus has a 2560*1440 screen resolution, so, on older phones with 1920*1080 or maybe even a 720P display, War Robots Remastered will probably run just fine. We're talking ~five year old phones here.
Iphone 5S:
On IOS, there's no way to change the level of detail either. Performance on Iphone 5S is superior to performance of the Nexus 6p, so the 2013 Iphone does a better job than a 2015 flagship/high end Android phone (Nexus 6p was flagship). Again, visually looks the same. Bots have fine shadows underneath and everything looks just beautiful. I'd say the old Iphone maintains a steady 30 fps with some very tiny slow downs here and there, it's doing much better than the Nexus 6p which I did not expect.
Galaxy Note 1:
Failed to install;)
Some general info:
If you have an older IOS device, the new War Robots version works very well. To get the same level of performance on Android, you'll need a newer device BUT War Robots remains playable even on five year old, former high end devices. As the game is way more detailed than before, I found it pretty hard to "see" anything but I'll probably adapt to this quickly. Seems like there's only quick match and only the desert map so I can't provide screenshots from the other maps. I started about 10 matches and always got the same map, sorry.
Edit: War Robots Remastered seems to run better than War Robots Classic on my Snapdragon 845 phone. It's way smoother.

Looks really nice. Hopefully, if FBGR/Steam gets it, it won't render the game inoperable, like they have done with the past several graphics upgrade attempts.

War Robots will still be free to download. War Robots Remastered will cost 50$ to download with a 15$ per month subscription. Then you can start buying vip service, oxp pass and other op content. On the bright side there will still be cross app play so the whales can watch themselves decimate you in HD!
Ok so I made all that up but surely pix is going to try to monetize something as big as pretty much rebuilding their game somehow.

Do you guys think that the remastering, if it comes to Steam, will allow for cross platforming with everybody else? Steam desperately needs it!

Okay guys. The test server was open again. Here's some gameplay on a mid-range Snapdragon 845 device. You can get such device used for a few bucks or new at about 150 bucks from Amazon US. From my point of view, War Robots Remastered is optimized very well. Good job, Pixonic. For once.
For best viewing pleasure, use a large display and playback in 1920*1080 resolution.

I notice all the bots were old school ones. Lets see how laggy this is with all the special ability animations added in.

I notice all the bots were old school ones. Lets see how laggy this is with all the special ability animations added in. From a technical point of view: Doesn't matter. Wouldn't even matter if 50 bots were on the field instead of 10. A modern game engine can handle hundreds, no, thousands of entities at the same time. I'm 100% positive that it will run just as good when it's released later this year. Can't wait, as War Robots really needs some graphics rework.
Edit: It does run even better, when I don't record full hd video at 60 fps. That eats cpu, too.

I’m on a 4 year old iPad and it ran flawlessly this morning and after the 6 hour update. Graphics were nice but the lack of lag was seriously exciting. Hope that makes it to the live version. Lag is my first gripe followed by the aiming issues. Look forward to seeing how the aiming works once they provide more bots and weapon types

Still... it would tickle my pickle if they included a built in mode that only allowed pre-dash equipment with a few post-dash weapon exceptions. Like a built in 6pack that all could play. I wouldn't care if we were required to start new accounts for that mode either... that is a way more relaxing experience. I wouldn't play it instead of the normal mode... but I find that in the current MM with current equipment I have to almost get in the zone to play well... whereas when I first started playing I could drop in on a single game at any time and not have to "get ready" to play. Of course, that is prolly just b/c of my decrepit old age.

Well, without Titans being a part of current test server and in addition, without lock-on weapons like Scourge, I can't tell if the targeting system is about the same as in War Robots classic or if it has improved. I remember situations on my main account, trying to target Au Ming flipping through three bots in the same spot and I NEVER ONCE WAS ABLE TO TARGET THE 「fluffernutter」ING TITAN. Uh, sorry. But that's so annoying.
So. Verdict: War Robots Remastered runs fast and looks great. If they fix the targeting system and tweak match maker a little, I honestly have to say that I'd be very happy with War Robots again.

I think this is a great thing. I've read that Pix's plan is to release the remastered version with all bots and four maps redone. I'd lose interest instantly if a WR2 would render my War Robots inventory worthless and I'd had to start a new account. That wouldn't happen. But a remastered version is awesome stuff actually.

I haven't had a free enough schedule to be able to commit to a team anymore... along with some device + discord/Line problems, I sorta lost touch with every part of the community I was involved with except for here on the Forum. I used to enjoy it, a lot. My Android account is inaccessible now due to the before mentioned device issues, but I have enough level 6 gear on my iOS account to play again if I can ever devote the time to it. I have been seriously considering it again since I finally got Discord to work... my account was just all whacked out and I honestly didn't have the time to do anything about it. But that's done so... if it's still going strong I may be able to participate on some pick up nights.

I see one of two options here... either: A.) The new game, Dino Fraud or w/e it's called, gave them some insight on how to efficiently code for the different engine, and therefore they can get this going as they hope within a good time frame... or B.) all the things we expect to suck, will. I refuse to be hopeful... but I won't be pessimistic, either. IF they can pull this off... and find a way to balance/mitigate the P2W + MM frustrations of so many folk, and fix the glaring bugs/issues... this game could last another 3 - 5 years. I know that is mighty optimistic... but it would be 「deteriorated bum-bum」 if they did. Make the new Dino Plod game the P2W guinea pig for a while instead of War Robots, and let War Robots reclaim the title of best Mobile Mecha Shooter. Best not to hope though...

I notice all the bots were old school ones. Lets see how laggy this is with all the special ability animations added in. I thought I had read somewhere that they’d be starting testing with legacy bots and the lower resolution option first, then gradually work their way up to higher res and the magic bots. Makes sense from a true testing standpoint. I just installed — about 30 more seconds til the server opens.

i was thinking maybe they were Breaking out "Remastered" with the Hope it will cause the same Problems as Steam so that the longer playing Players with lower end Devices that are F2P an can't handle the "Remastered Updates" will hopefuly either
1: stop playing War Robots freeing up Server cost leaveing only those that spend money left with temporary players that are just trying out the game who are used as "Feed".
2: start playing their Dino game and Build their Player Base and take it down the same Route as War Robots then Rinse an Repeat.
then again i'am Hopeing this "Remastered update" fixes issues and allows smoother game play. in this case i would go back to spending i.e. Premium, buying Ag,Au, picking up other deals and Event Tokens. i would like to back to spending and support a game a Like to Play.

I’m playing on an iPad 4, and the current live game plays like crap since the last update. The test version plays noticeably smoother (so far). I would have no problem playing at the ‘lower’ graphics level they’re currently testing; aside from colors being a little bright, it looks just fine on this iPad.

Why does that Carnage look like it's just given up on life and decided it's gonna plank from now on? Also running animation of Carnage looks terrible. Gonna have to give this REMASTERED thing a solid D+ based on that alone.

on the test server trying out the remastered version I know it's a low-quality one but I'm not liking what I see anyways . Things are a little crisper but it's the lighting and colour out I think . The positive side it seems to be running smoother and I have a Galaxy Tab 8in and it runs quite well on it .I guess I'm just not used to the new graphics should be pretty good

What the heck are those gold streaks?
With the massive use of magic color bots, there will be nothing on screen except a rainbow......I already can’t see a damn thing half my battles......

They tried this with steam when the introduced War Robots to that platform. It did not go well. Yeah, and let's hope they learned from that debacle. Probably, since it was 1.5 years ago, and perhaps this time they're doing it right (ie. upgrade the engine so it can take the improved graphics etc).
