I just hit level 24 and still runnning the first decent 4 bot hangar with a 2 griffins, a leo and a natasha. Weapons are getting upgraded as fast as I can. Still quite aways away from 5th hangar slot and buying good weapons or bots. Ran into a few questions for you guys...
1) Is there any advantage to me being in higher leagues? I just got put into gold and it is tougher but can still hit 1st quite often.
2) Do I always keep the workshop churning out currency? No real advantage to hoarding silver right?
3) I have gone with the advice of do what you like...switching a griffin to a 2nd all molot rather than the tulu/pinata (i think) that i have on it now...I need 2 shots to kill anyone and I die before I can get the 2nd shot off so will upgrade those and then reequip when done.
4) What is the first high end (white currency) weapon to buy?
5) How do i drop down leagues...just lose?
6) any tips on farming gold? seems to be the slowest of all the currencies by far.
Thanks guys...answer what you feel like answering.

1) There is a monthly gold reward that gets quite large in the higher leagues. Aside from that, mostly just cred.
2) Until you run out of WSP gear that you want, yes. But upgrades get real expensive in silver around level 9 and up, so you will probably want to stop the WSP at some point. One recommendation from a TT player on this forum is to amass around 250 million in silver as you get up there.
3) I don't think this is a question. if it is, I don't understand it. But note, the big drawback of mixing ranges like with tulus/pinatas is that there is no ideal range for you to be to enemies.
4) White currency? You mean gold? Orkan. Folks are split on whether you should get 5th slot before that, though. For WSP, either Magnum or Taran. You'll generally want 3-4 of all three of those.
5) You just sell your soul to the Devil. I think most souls willing to do this go for about $0.50, so haggle a bit if he offers less.
6) See #5. The less evil and antisocial alternative is to hit your daily tasks, get gud, and squad with your clanmates.

1. No advantage other than the gold bonus you get for advancing into the league. 2. For workshop points, at the start it is a good idea to keep churning them out. The only advantage in hoarding silver is that as you progress, silver becomes the big issue with upgrades. At the level you are at, you are producing silver faster than you use it but are short of gold. It flips by about level 8 or 9 and you will run out of silver quickly and not give a hoot about gold. 3. Unsure of your question....but do what you want. 4. I think you are talking about WSP? Tarans or magnums depending upon your set up or both if you want to run a Plasma Death Bot on your Griffin. Tridents or trebs if you want to run a poor man's Fury with your natasha. For bots, the stalker or rhino....some like the spiders but I'm not one of them. 5. The only way to drop leagues is to lose, hopefully honorably 6. Do your daily tasks, win 3 matches while in a squad...that will get you 69-79 gold per day. If you are finishing in top 3 inmmatches, you can add another 20-30. So roughly 100 gold a day or 2 months to get that 5th slot. Good luck.

1) there is no advantage to be on high leagues, the better league you are better players you will found 2)WSP items are always good, magnums, Tarans, tridents, trebuchet hydra, carnage, rhino, fujin... Etc. I never get tired of having more WSP for silver 3)you already saw which set up works good, for griffin my favorite set up is magnum/Tarans , pinata/orkan and all punishers 4) white currency? Silver or WSP 5)yes 6) get beacons do damage and win games

You're being quite generous these days or I guess the economy is getting better.....I think the rub is that tankers don't have souls. great answer!

Yeah, it used to be far less, but y'know, inflation and all.

1 - The advantage is that when the season ends, your gold reward will be higher.
2 - At level 9 Workshop points consume you about 240K Silver a day, that is about 2 matches, so its not much and you should keep producing it, I recommend buying the first 3 WSP wich is worth 250 WSP for 25 gold, when you already have what you want, stop purchasing it with gold.
3 - I'm unsure of what you said
4 - White currency being WSP, so you should have 4x Tarans and 4x Magnums before going to anything else, thats 37600 WSP you need to buy them.
5 - Yes
6 - Gold farming is gone, back then you could exploit the matchmaking and farm lower leveled oponents, but now its tecnically impossible since the lowest you can go is Bronze, wich is chaos right now. Aim for 100 gold per day, with daily missions it will take about 4 matches getting highest damage & beacon capping, do NOT force upgrades with gold, it is not worth.

Thanks everyone, appreciate the answers. Sorry for the confusion...wasn't sure what WSP was called.
Glad to see tanking is frowned upon here. I face quite a lot of level 30 guys still, not much I can do battling it out with 5 slot, loaded players.
I am correct in saying I buy weapons before any of the shiny mechs right? Get the tarans and magnums in place then go from there.

Also, consider purchasing a Gareth if you have the means, it is a very fun and very effective bot.

Yeah...I think replacing my natasha will happen before I get a 5th slot...not sure what to fill those with. Loving the griffin with all molots and leo is ok as a brute, not sold on missile attack though, could have something to do with me not being great at it.
Looking at clans but not sure there is a reason to join one. Still placing first even in gold 3 (whichever the first gold is) most of the time and inching up to a 300K average with 4 ok mechs with ok weapons. Looking forward to getting some kickin weapons and one of them speedy little 「illegitimate child」s that kill me all the time.

Answers (from my point of view) 1) Your league is designed to match you with similarly skilled pilots. 2) Better to have WSP and not need them than need them and not have them. 3) Its good to experiment to find what works for you but dont give up on Tumbla/Pin (RDB) Griffin just yet. 4) Magnums 5) Dont try to drop down leagues. Thats sandbagging and is stupid. Play every match as best you can. Dont sandbag.

If gold is hard to come focus on multiple Griffin builds.
I hated the Geoff forever but reluctantly got into them late in the game (tried everything else) and now loving it.
So try plasma Griff; RDB; DP; Aphid Ork etc etc....
But level everything to around 8/8 - otherwise you'll be disappointed
