Wow, I just downloaded and played a match for s&giggles on Pixo's latest pet project Dino game. Not sure if this has been talked about, but they actually have true aiming, not the standard defacto War Robots lazy x-axis targeting. If Pixo introduced this to War Robots, it would def bring an interesting dynamic to the game. Also of note - no lag on the Dino game either, hmmmmm.....as it is fairly fast paced at least using the small velociraptor looking dino. Other than that, it's a carbon copy of War Robots with tweaks. I'm curious as to others thoughts about the game now that its out?

If you want that then just go play Battle of Titans. It is made by the original game devs of Walking War Robots.

I also tried the Dino game. Played two matches and my verdict is: They should have put the effort they put into Dino game into War Robots. Movement in Dino game is 「dookie」. Gameplay is boring and the most funny thing is: It runs at about 30 fps on my device, while games with large maps like PUBG Mobile or Dragon Raja, which both look way better than the Dino game, are running at a smooth 60 fps. Pixonic wasted a lot money and time on a game, which will never be a success. Good job.

Tried it, wasn't a fan. Just to be clear not a fan of Dino whatever it's called but did find the prospect of manual aiming a bit more - skillful. I find War Robots targetting bugs, auto aim, and dumb fire/mash the red button a bit out dated now. If the dev's want to 'rebalance' then force players to aim at what they're shooting at. I suspect folks damage per game would seriously dip, but love the idea that I control what and where my projectiles go and which target gets to be on the receiving end

It's very rewarding pulling off trick shots and brining the pain to the meta hiding behind cover waiting on an ability cooldown. Ag weapons no less. |

Aiming....a new concept to Pix!
BOT, although not an awesome game, does have its moments....If I aim correctly, I can blow weapons off a red, then kill it.
But, the best is the little spider that jumps, then crawls up on a red, shooting it.....it’s secondary weapon is a shock/freeze thing, so cool!
If only there were a few more maps, a tad faster action, and no P2 W bots for sale...the flyer is crap OP like Ming, lazy wins.

If Dinosquad is an almost carbon copy of War Robots, then we all know how this story ends.
A good honeymoon period that lasts for a few months followed by a hellish P2W system that ruins everything. But you just can't bring yourself to divorce cause you love your kids too much (read bots/dinos).

Lastly, one thing I like that I have picked up from islander video is what seems to be a "safety zone"- meaning that you'll have spawn area safe from enemy (death squads) raids.
I think it's a big shame that these elements didn't make it into War Robots. I guess even when Pixonic is fixing things they want to monetize on it in a form of a new game.
Bad side of Dino Squad of course is the usual P2W and the silly dinosaur scheme. Other than that I could actually find myself switching to DS, if it's available on steam.

If you want that then just go play Battle of Titans. It is made by the original game devs of Walking War Robots. Did they ever implement inverting the vertical aiming? I told them the game is unplayable for me without that small mechanic. As of my last download, they had not added it. |

Sorry about that, I hope you understand. It's pretty hard on steam, I think there are at least 2-3 good clans that I used to see that don't play anymore. There are couple of names that will drop entire teams out of the game. I have quit the game, have taken breaks but always found a way to come back. Most recently coronawirus isolation brought me back in. But after playing for a while I'm feeling out-muscled and pretty much pushed out by the game, so taking another indefinite break. Would love to play, but it's been more frustration than fun lately. |

Our clan is active and we get a lot of ditchers, it is part of War Robots life. I ditch against the whale clans when solo. |
