Somebody found out I was playing War Robots,
That sounds super weird.
I'm 15 (oh the shock, I've revealed my age... ahhh), my mother is very much against games in general. But I play them on my phone because I don't have a lot to do in the afternoons, one of the downsides of being homeschooled. I do everything in the morning. Anyway.
She found out somehow, how I don't know.
And now I have been forced to say goodbye to my little clan I built up on iOS, Transferred leadership to my madman of a clanmate and told him if I came back 'I WANT THE KEYS BACK' and possibly my Android clan and main account if she finds that on my computer.
I'm just going to not play for a while. I'll still post weekly news and participate here, but you won't be seeing me as much in game. If any of you have actually seen a _FakeNews_ with the Nova Rising clan tag running around before.
Welp, Guess its goodbye for now.

I won't say anything about the situation since, as a parent, I am sure I have given my daughter rules that she thought were unfair... we have our reasons and maybe hers is a good one. That's too bad. I have a very open attitude regarding games in my household. As long as my son (my daughter doesn't play) keeps his grades up (he's a straight A student), he can play Fortenite all he wants.

Yeah, We're Catholic and she specifically is extremely religious. Combine that with homeschooling and all types of things get painted as evil. I'll get back into it at some point. I think the problem is the media tends only show the cases that actually develop into addiction, not just an average human playing games to pass the time because their bored out of their minds. |

I don’t think animals play games ? They do, sort of. 10 years ago, I had two cats with my back then girlfriend. One female and one male cat. They were chasing each other, teasing each other, waiting around a corner to scare each other. They also played their games with us humans. Cats are rather stupid, compared to other animals like monkeys or dolphins. Monkey are especially cool: Ever seen some video where some monkey jumps down from a tree, picks on the tail of some tiger or some other big cat and then runs for it and gets back up the tree? They do play. Animals are amazing. |

I don’t think animals play games ? I grew up on a farm and every breathing animal we had played some kind of game if you paid attention. My favorite to watch was a Rottweiler we had that played ball with our Stallion. They would kick and chase that ball around trying to keep it from each other all day. |

Like when bear cubs wrestle, I believe they are honing skills for hunting or protecting territory. Domesticated animals lost the need to hunt so maybe they are just treating a ball like it’s prey.

Lots of animals have the intelligence level of some 5yo human child. Monkeys are using tools, squid can open a jar with food in it, I'd consider dogs intelligent as they "understand" what you're telling them and so on. A lot of animals do have their instincts, of course, but also have some low level of intelligence. |

Dolphins will play games that have nothing to do with any hunting... just ask the puffer fish about Puff Puff Pass  They don't do that to eat... they play volley ball-ish games with the side effect of getting a buzz from the Puffer. They also will play games with random seaweed/plant debris, their own bubbles (including blowing bubble rings), and various types of tag. Wild dolphins too... not sea world (or whatever) trained. |

My son (sons, actually, but mainly my oldest) plays because I introduced him to it. He's 15. We make a bonding experience out of it.
But that said, your mom is your mom, and I wouldn't judge her too harshly for her choices. I've seen some kids who really, really shouldn't be into gaming, and for a very long time, my wife and I were opposed to it. But we came around, once our youngest was old enough for us to feel okay with it.

The real question is not if animals can play games but if animals can play video games. And more relevantly, can monkeys be taught to play War Robots.
Recent in-game experiences lead me to believe that they can, and moreover, they are already 15-30% of player population.
