As soon as I get my Phantom tweaked a bit I'm going to sink every ounce of silver I can into mine. I love support bots.

I'm running my ancient tyr in my main hanger now. Until I get its shredders and pulsars up to 1.9 it'll be sporting a fine set of magnums and tarans. I think this works well enough, I just need to learn not to push in BR.

Nice build, I'd level the shredders first, they match well with tarans on only have to be about level 7 or 8 to start being effective. Or, try lockdown ammo and keep the big bangers.

I'll give the lockdown ammo a go. My shredders are at 1.9 already but they're on my phantom. I need to replace the phantom with something else, maybe my cyro nightingale or spark blitz. It's a bit of a juggling act lol.

Mine is getting more time on the field lately. Any ideas on which weapon I should upgrade first to give her a little more punch?

Mine is getting more time on the field lately. Any ideas on which weapon I should upgrade first to give her a little more punch? Discounting possible nerfs in the future... Scourge. It is cheaper than Pulsar and performs well. Scourges were the first Medium weapons I got to 1.12 and I am not regretting it in the least. After that... sorta depends on what you want the eventual build to look like... If you are going for an all taser build then get Spark up, next. WS another Scourge and another Spark and do it all over again. If you want a more MR build then Pulsar works for the medium weapons... need 2 rooting weapons min to get good lockdown performance so WS another one asap. From there you can either go Shredders to strengthen both the 300 to 500m range of effectiveness as well as to further ensure lockdown... or you can go Marquess or Stings to hit at 600m with just pure damage. If you want cheap and yet still versatile and effective, all the way up into Champions League, just go leadhose and get another Punisher and 2 Pun-Ts on that baby and start dropping brass all over the ground. Edit... this is what I am running and it works well enough. I am actually considering putting the Pun-Ts back on in place of the Atomizers though... overall it performed better. Atomizers only really shine for me when at point blank range in shoot or die type fights since they don't stop firing. Point blank the accuracy loss from shooting forever doesn't matter. However, Pun T is much better at keeping a proper level of accuracy, especially with the sharpshooter skill, out to decent ranges. Plus, they are murder on other bots' physical shields.

I can guarantee that the setups changed lol. EDIT... with some exceptions like the Spark Blitz.

I was running a PDB setup on mine and it worked well enough. But I have switched to scourges two under levelled Rimes on the top slots. Have to say I like it a lot, can get the scourges going early and when the time is right convert and give whatever I'm shooting at the Rimes. They are only level 8 but they still pack a punch. My go to position is right behind a blue titan, healing away then popping out help with the shooting.
ⓣⓡⓘⓒⓚⓨ48 originally I was thinking of going a full taser build with sparks, but some folks were saying that it didn't work well because of the top slots not auto reloading with the sparks? Not sure if you have any experience with that? Ultimately the Rimes I'm using are destined for another bot so I am looking at other options. There is an evil part of me that would love to do a full flame version? Someday.....

I have two words concerning the Tyr FlamesFortifierI am finding my maxed flamer is killing them Ravana's and other hard to kill newer bots just fine and laughing the entire time. Its my starter bot at the moment. Igniter, blaze with Double fortifier a Last Stand module and PS. I also have all the pilot skills as well to make this shield on par with an Arthur's LOL As you can see you can play in champ and not run all the same crud..... I have more of all but BORING!!!!

If you don't empty them out, then no, they don't auto reload. I would say this build is OK... not the best but still useful. I only described it if Taser was their end goal. Sparks are good to have leveled for many other builds so there is an automatic back-up plan if you replace them. Yes to the flame version... I don't have enough leveled to run it but like Logan said, they are bad 「bum-bum」. When I see them they 'do the thing'. PDB is plenty good for placeholder or for end goal... as long as they are leveled. Scourge I liked to pair with anything in the light spots. I think I ran everything from Marquess to Punishers to Aphids at various points. Role and range that it is intended to be used, matters.

I've been testing it out and the PDB does a good job, the magnums are always ready to fire so I switch modes as often as possible.
Yeh, I think I'll level up the magnums to 1.12 they're good for the short term but I think I need something that works against physical shields.

PunisherT matches well with scourge, and hits harder sooner than pulsar. Anything would be better than spiral, shredder, punisher, magnum, molot... Half lead hose, half tazer would be easy enough to level to a reasonable level at a reasonable cost. Yup lose the spiral and pulsar in exchange for punisher and punisher t, they'd be helpful against shield bots.

I got my Ancient Tyr to L8. Am trying with Molots right now, but I'm not happy with them. Never really liked the Molot family, so I guess I'll try Leadhose next. I've done PDB, but at low level, it's not really that effective. I need to be able to hold the range open a bit. Besides, I'm keeping my Magnums for my Blitz from the Ops.
Taser worked ok for me. I'm thinking of building another pair of Shredders so maybe my eventual build will be Scourge/Shredder. I just won another Sinister Pulsar but unless I get another one, it's not worth leveling up.

PunisherT matches well with scourge, and hits harder sooner than pulsar. Anything would be better than spiral, shredder, punisher, magnum, molot... Any better? It's hideous, but it'll play. I never did level any sparks, you might want to put it on the same side as the scourge so that you can cornershoot that side from 5-600, but that is an edge case. I'm into it.

I love my Tyr too with sparks and scourges. But I need advice on what pilot skills I should have
I have Sugrun Valka as a pilot and following skills 9 excluding her specail skill)
Mechanic Tyr Road Hog Tyr Physical Shield expert
I can maybe add 1 more skill and maybe replace on of the above
Any suggestions/advice please?

Add them both if you can, all of those skills are good. True Ace and Physical Shield Expert both stack with Sigrid's pilot skill. I'd take which ever skill poped up first using the random selection rerolls.

I thought it was dukeofadvil with the Frankentyr but even still, 2 part time sparks... guidance operator is nice, but True Ace comes first if I'm choosing.

Dumped a bit of gold from the stash and finished my Tyr a few days early. Only level 4, with scrooges and sparks (one brand new spark), and I’m already loving this bot. If I can find a couple of other blues in close proximity to stick with, the bot lasts forever and honor points go through the roof. It doesn’t always work out, especially if teammates are all morons; but as soon as one or two realize the have a healer on board and have a clue about how to take advantage of it, good things can happen. I can see how it can turn a game around. Got a lot of leveling to do between the Tyr and weapons, and I might try swapping out the scrooges for pulsars at some point put just to see how they play, but this one sure feels like a keeper.

If your teammates are morons you don’t have to depend on them for your healing honor. Just shape-shift a few times and you’ll likely get the 360 honor for top durability repaired. You’ll repair yourself and be able to get more kills, inflict damage and collect the odd beacon. Sure, you won’t get much repair teammate honor, but if your teammates don’t want to take advantage of your ability, there’s no reason to handcuff yourself. Repair teammate honor is so low anyway. Plus, if you’re moving around the map you are more likely to find a teammate in need or at least one who appreciates your healing touch. Unleash that beast!

My Ancient Tyr is now all level 1.10 including 2 Pulsars and 2 Shredders. Works great late game for Titan support, somewhat more conservative gameplay that what I normally do with this account. Decent impact on honor / Ag. Problem is sometimes my Arthur doesn't get killed so I don't get to play my Tyr every game. Might need to deploy my Arthur earlier or later in games.

anyone else running a RDB Tyr? I've been doing this in Expert League and it's a hoot. (on my baby acccount).
In Champions League main account Tyr is ancient and suffers from the bug, so has been shelved.
