I have a maxed Avenger, two MK2/6 Shredders and a a spare maxed pilot for a 500 meter lead pulverizer build to replace my Rayker ever since they broke her legs. The upcoming Legendary Pilot will be used with my standard Hades with the royal skin because it has less health and fewer pilot skills, and it extends the working range to 800 meters (equipped with Molots/Tempests) but I have doubts on the effectiveness (because both the Molots and Tempests need separate gun skills). I want to build the most durable Hades possible, and it looks pretty good with Shredders and an Avenger. To my knowledge, the only way to get one is to win one in the Superchest, but I pulled an Eldritch Ares instead, which is garbage. What now?
I'll trade 3 Nightingales, 2 Phantoms, a Ravana and an Ares for it.

I'll trade 3 Nightingales, 2 Phantoms, a Ravana and an Ares for it. Oh man, I have one imperial hades that is completely unused. Would love to swap. But of course, Prickxonic would have none of that.

One mans trash is another mans treasure. I've won 3 of the damn things in the SC.
It is almost always a Fenrir, Nemesis or Imperial Hades for me.

I know the IMPERIAL HADES looks a lot better than the ELDRITCH ARES...and ARES got nerfed pretty hard... Just asking... The only thing Ares got was a 4 second cooldown increase compared to it's siblings; all of them got whacked with the 20% speed nerf while ability is active. The problem with Ares is that up until the release of Atomizer, there was no energy based 500 meter energy weapon, and even so Ares is a terrible brawler. The things that made it impossible to destroy Ares during update 5.0 and onwards in 5.3 have all been nerfed into the ground (Anticontrol, Shotguns no longer randomly rooting, hunter robots with super speed like Phantom or extreme durability like Fenrir/Invader/Titans) with the speed nerf making it harder to coordinate and maintain Ares trains. But what sunk the nails into Ares' coffin in high level play was Shieldbreaker. The play of this godlike robot was that it's shield was unbreakable and dealt a ton of damage in return in exchange for fragile health and top in class footspeed for a robot of that hardpoint type. Once Shieldbreaker arrived, Ares fell over like a stack of cards. Many people don't use Shieldbreaker, but the mere threat of their use instantly dooms Ares because it's a glass cannon. In fact, the only common robots I see with Shieldbreaker are Juns that then eat Ares for lunch. Nemesis suffers from the opposite problem: It's by far the most durable of the three, but it's firepower is middling. Not boasting more than a Rogatka, it's ability can make for excellent peekaboo gameplay. However, it's built-in gun doesn't have a killer combo with other weapons. Atomizers are energy based and ignore energy shield that end up hindering the built-in missiles system, same for Pulsars. The missiles don't deal a lot of damage even when powered up, and while Tulumbas is the obvious choice, they need a ton of time to reload compared to the ability charge of 8 seconds. While the Legendary Pilot for it grants Hades-level invulnerability, the damage it deals to dissuade foes is mediocre at best. Hades on the other hand is a better fusion of the two. It's kinetic cannon fires 3 bullets it relatively slow succession, so there are improvements to be had, but the kinetic cannon deal double damage PLUS whatever the shield charge value is to physical shields. It carves nice chunks out of weaker robots while offering a much faster ability charge than Ares, and isn't afraid to take hits to the frame if the ability isn't ready. But the real reason why Hades is the best of the pack now is threefold: -The shield is not an absolute requirement, it can operate without it's ability ready if faced with Shieldbreaker or on cooldown -The hardpoint distribution offers the two best 500 meter weapons since the Hades was released (Avenger/Shredder) -The synergy with Shredders locking your foe in place, your Avenger shredding their shields (both physical and energy based) and the built-in gun hammering their HP or destroying shields is an excellent weapon synergy that isn't available on the other Absorber robots. But why is that important? Mercury and Rayker are two other bots with the same hardpoints that have better utility skills. Simple: Pixonic snapped the legs of my Rayker. Can't climb worth a damn since update 5.6 just like it's brother Invader, and all the other Quads (my Weyland is still around because it doesn't do a whole lot of climbing in the first place). With Titan Mitigators being tested in one of the previous Test Servers, it won't be long before they just shake off the effects of Suppression/Lockdown. That's speculation, because they haven't been seen in a while, but the Rayker is still not working right. Mercury is a short range brawler, but it has bigger problems than using mid-range weapons. Titans now have Quantum Radar modules available in the Universal slot that makes it possible to see through Stealth forever. With the Jun being the only major threat to Mings (not to mention that those are getting speed nerfs as well), Mings will be completely uncontested. Except for one type of unit. Absorber class robots can withstand Titan weapons for their entire shield duration. Ares is super fragile and will get lazed by Ming in two shots as soon as the shield falls, not to mention it's disco laser fire is highly noticeable to a Titan. Nemesis simply doesn't deal enough damage to make a dent in all those Defense Points, and the travel time of those missiles means a Ming can drop to the ground to avoid them. Hades has the right hardpoints, defensive capabilities and max HP to make removing Mings a whole lot easier than without. The three little shots are hard to avoid in flight and aren't flashy or make a lot of noise, but they deal great damage to flying Mings. The upcoming Legendary Pilot with grant Hades an extra 300 meters of range with the built-in cannon allowing for synergies with Molots/Tempest as well. At this point, it's the only thing that threatens a Ming when in-range with a weapon synergy that's hard to beat. Any questions?

I do tend to make sure I can lean/edge left, and can mangle a bot until my thong is ready to protect, then let the 3 pop gun hit um hard. Nice write up! +1

If the nerf kills lead hose, I’ll take my Vipers off of my Falcon to adjust.....but, most of the time I’m close enough to where the nerf may not be that big of a deal....shoties still work, just can’t hang around or walk thru a kill these days

Even if it did get nerfed, I would still use it for one primary reason: There has to be a weapon to clear the way for the built-in gun. Shredders are excellent utility weapons, but don't synergize (necessarily) with the built-in gun. Avenger is by far the best way to tear down shields to expose a robot to the built-in gun.
