I've become beyond frustrated with players tanking that I'm thinking if giving this up. The odd part is that before the Leagues started I actually wanted something like them to give me a goal to shoot for and not just battling for the sake of battling with no end point. But now, I find myself wanting to go back to the days of playing and not dealing with tankers causing me to be penalized. So, here's my question. Does anyone else want to see an option to "optout" of leagues? I figured it wouldn't be hard to do. If a players opts out, then they cannot re-enter leagues until the next one starts a month or so later. I was thinking that this would give players a chance to duke it out and earn silver for upgrades, maybe win some gold or whatever but not have to go into battle worrying how many tankers there are on the team. Thoughts?

Pro Tip: Just ignore your league score and it won't feel like a penalty when you lose.

But my point is I get tired of losing because after 2 minutes there are only 4 players left fighting. If they run out of bots then ok, but it gets old fast knowing you'll lose after 2 minutes. Piss on the league aspect of it.

That sux. I was going to suggest that you find some good players (blue or red team) from your matches and invite them to squad with you. I know I would squad with a good player who stuck it out to the end even in a 4v6 match.
In this way, if you can become a familiar face to some people, who might be able to join a clan that can help you win more games by playing with people who won't bail.
Caveat: I have seen some clans who consistently bail, either when playing a map they don't like or facing opposition they consider too strong.

Unless you are a stat-monkey in the top levels of play or your ego is based on a free to play mobile game. Ultimately your objective should be the amassing of as much silver as possible. It will be the limiting factor with upgrades past 9.

I've given up on both the MM and leagues. The system sucks and Pix just seems to keep 「wee-wee」ing with the wrong things, like the new spawn points on Shen. I'm just grinding for upgrades and doing some experimenting at this point. I'll pay attention again when my hangar is around 11/11 and the MM is less of a factor.

op, match making and leagues have nothing to do with each other. even if you opt out of leagues, you'll still be facing the same players. only way to go back to the old days is to go back to the old match making system. pix is in too deep to go back now.
