Actually yes, I am running three on my Gepard for now. Plan is to put them fully leveled with a Zeus on my Leo eventually.
Are they even useful later on in the game when everyone is higher level?

Yes, they are viable paired with zeus or trebs... or even a quad set on a Patton.

To be honest, I've been considering it.. I have 4 at level 6.. I have no Trebs, and no desire to spend precious WSP on them.. If you *have* them laying around, they're a good counter to the rampant Carnage Zeus/Trident spam that's going on in the mid-levels right now.. Could be worth it? But probably not at end game..

Disco Patton my 「bum-bum」, it's a General Grievous with those 4 light sabres. A Magnum mounted Patton fits the descriptive of a disco bot because of the popping light show.
Wouldn't this game be awesome looking with a night time firefight? Or a least very low light so you could still see where you're going.

I have four lvl 9 gekkos on my Patton. I enjoy the set up. Good for Carnages, Griffins, Furys and other non shielded bots. With that being said, there are a lot of other weapons that should be leveled up first. Orks, pins, aphids, tarans, mags etc. etc. Get those weapons up to a decent level before you mess with gekkos.

My gekkos are 11 10 9 5. Stopped leveling them months ago. Weak, even after the +%30 boost. A mere distraction. Lesser pilots lose their 「dookie」 and go after them. Don't be that pilot. Pretty lights and nothing more, especially in this age of shielded bots. Not worth the powder to blow them to hell.

Pretty lights and nothing more, especially in this age of shielded bots. Not worth the powder to blow them to hell. I don't think it's the damage that is the issue, it's the fact that you need a near constant line of sight in order to maximise the damage potential of the weapon, and that is not realistic on most maps :/ . |

To be sure. But withe all the lancelots and galahads and rhinos being fielded these days, they are less than worthless, even with prolonged bouts of direct los. |

I've found them to be a real threat in the beta cutting into Furies, Leos and Carnages and ripping unshielded beacon hunters up fairly quickly. I just try to avoid shield bots unless there's other players helping. I've only got one right now but I'm definitely going to aquire more. |
