Recently changed my rdb grif to a db and my orkanhad to a plasmahad. Suddenly i feel difficult controlling them. I used to ambush ppl and dump the whole load in ppl's face when using orkanhad but now it seems hard to do so now (no more surprise disarm or better yet, insta kill ) I used to measure my distance on my rdb grif but now i seem to die fast after i ambush ppl and unload everything into ppl's face (basically i end up half dead after killing a bot) and get surrounded by ppl often after a successful ambush. To all pro db grifs and plasmahad users, any tips u can give to me to have a more successful ambush/flank?

RDBs have longer lifespans than DBs typically simply be being outside weapon range of many foes. DBs hit harder but are less forgiving. Use terrain to get into range and help you escape. Keep your jump to escape if possible or jump in for a crushing blow. Try to target single foes since you lack sustained dps.
With the plasmahad, ideal engagement range is 300-350m. Plasmahads are all about laying down sustained bursts of fire, ideally when corner shooting, often while back peddling. Choose your targets wisely of course. Flank and apply pressure, especially during enemy reload cycles. You are not a hit and run bot but do run from rockets. Try to lead other shield bots towards friend blues, to flank or splash them. Don't waste your shield but don't be afraid to stand and trade fire with non-rocket bots, especially unshielded ones.

There was another post like this and here is what I've got for you about Plasmahad:
Galahad starts to shine at level 9 (Speed maxed)
1º - Backpedal At 200M+ from Orkans/Pinatas, you can completely avoid their damage by moving straight backwards, your legs must be ready and you have to run before your enemy unloads at you.
2º - Cornershooting Raise your shield to lower Gala's movement speed, then move to a wall or building and position his body so that only the weapons are facing your enemy straight ahead, with that you can safely shot enemies preserving shield & bot HP. (This dos NOT work against Orkans/Pinatas/Tulumbas/Pins/Tridents, since the splash will be enough to hit you.)
3º - Precision Focus With plasma sometimes is harder to aim when you are close to the enemy since Mags and Tarans have a slight different hitbox, so by raising your shield you will move slower, helping you alot to aim better since you dont move fast as much.
4º - Ecu Shield Mechanic You can let your shield sideways and turn your Galahad's body in a way that the shield face the enemy far away from you (Most likely Trebs and long to mid range weapons such as Zeus too). This will let you get closer to them without loosing speed from Galahad's special ability, but you need to have a good map awareness
5º - Best build Galahad works best with Plasma, already saw some with Aphids, but I wouldnt run since Aphids on Griff are better.
6º - General tips to maximize firepower When your Taran has 4 or less shots, unload it asap so in your next enemy encounter you have a fully loaded Taran
For DB Griffin, pick the right targets and wait for your team to get the agro for you, DB's doesnt have much survivability anyways, but you can make them last enough to kill 3 enemy bots at best (or more). Go for Lancelots without Ancile/ Rhinos/ Distracted Galahads since they are easy preys if you know what you are doing (For Galahads, look how their legs are positioning, if they are not facing backwards or their shield is up, jump at them if you are at 300 / 250M so they will not have enough time to react). Griffin with Aphids in the place of Pinatas survive longer since they have safer line of fire plus more range to poke down enemies.

Plasma Galahad isn't a tank, don't go head-on/right up the middle. Unless you're in a big hurry and whatever you're doing is worth dying, of course. If your team is pushing, be out on one flank. If the enemy is pushing, be out on one flank. Hit the enemy from the side. Use cover, corner shoot, be ready for when they notice you. And look for enemy flankers. Don't let an enemy flanker get outside of you, then *you* will get flanked, squeezed and killed. So stay to the outside of enemy flankers, and flank them.
