Just played about a dozen games in Diamond II. Wow!! No points for losers means everyone tries for the beacons (because you ONLY win with beacon dominance). The games have been well played... no more wondering why people aren't getting beacons... and they are changing hands faster than you can count... Doesn't even matter if you're in the top three or bottom three on the winning side... all that matters is you won!! Once again... well done Pixonic. Well done.  |

Totally agree... the new point system now brings light bots back into the game... I can dust them off and bring them out again.

Somebody needs to send the memo to the guys in silver. Just played for a couple hours and felt like I walked into old McDonald's farm a camper here, a camper there, here a camper, there a camper, everywhere a friggin camper.
But to be fair I only saw PP a couple times and don't recall playing DC at all

My testing toon sits in Silver 1 at level 26 and the problem is very common there still. |

i think it encourages squading as well, no more worrying if a lower squadmate will be mooching off your trophies in loss. everyone loses lol

Now it is +16 or -16 so the squad has to be closer to the same levels. I used to have some of our lower powered players in the clan join the squad...now it is a big risk, especially with the MM finding us champion squads to go up against. |

Totally disagree. It is now nothing more than someone willing to take less silver and less league points so everyone else can win all the spoils.

Yea it definitely discourages squadding because you've got to find people all relatively equal levels or the top guy gets 「wee-wee」ed with bringing lower teammates into a higher level match. Encourages team play and beacon capping by putting so much emphasis on the win for sure though. Last night I saw beacon counts across the board waaay higher than ever. That's 21 Beacons for blue and 21 for red totaling an insane amount of turnovers. We won by beacon bar just over 7 1/2 Minutes into the match which averages out to almost 6 beacons being turned every minute! ...or 3 every 30 seconds ...or every 10 seconds a beacon was flipping~!  |

I was thinking how furious he must be! 8 beacons! but I can confirm once again, as suspected, that beacon sharing is indeed a thing. With a replay of that match played at 10x speed, I watched it twice while tracking each beacon turnover the best I could. After counting 29 and 31 the following time I concluded that somewhere in the range of 12 beacon captures happened simultaneously and were there fore shared. In fact...I believe at least 3 of blues shared the last beacon capture in the match. |
