I was thinking back to when i started War Robots - was in hospital for 4 weeks recovering from an accident. Plenty of time on my hands and got hooked on War Robots...
But its not the kind of game u get the hang off quickly or even master in 3 weeks. There was back then (2016) a steep learning curve. The game helped with some tutoring and also by the 30 experience levels that prevented noobs buying and building wrong stuff to some degree. Most learning is however thru doing, repitition, mistakes/successes - then clan mates - then reading e.g the wiki - then forums such as these.
It is a massive body of knowledge to consume, to remember, to properly apply. And its vital to have that knowhow in order to excel in the game.
Take for example - u need to know ranges of weapons , which u must be able to identify by their trace/visual effects on receiving end. If u dont know ranges of your reds u wont effectively counter them. Or take the bots - u should be able to tell by their speed, profile/silouete, even when they 700m away, what u up against, what abilities they carry. Then the maps - sooooo much to learn its encyclopedia by itself. Then the build skills- all rookies slap frankensteins together until they get pointed out. Then game play coodination. Tactics. Strategy. Modules. Pilot skills. 4 game formats - similar but v different. Then all the currencies. And more... not even mentioning the meta, the competition, how to work the pix ticket sys, the diff clans. It goes on and on
Every month it grows with at least 3 items added by pix. And heres my point,( sorry it took so long to make but needed u to recall how freaken much time u invested to get where we are): new comers to the game of War Robots now face a daunting learning curve to entry.
Pix need to address this. Help the new guys properly and clearly. We shedding players daily. New comers are essential to keep the base . I dont know if the tutorials have improved. I do hope so...
