Quitting / opting out against squads is out of control!

When a squad of maxed out or almost maxed out leach / phantom wide out you whole team 1st bots in less than a minute then I do sometimes not drop 2nd bot and just watch the carange unfold.
However the vast majority of the time I just drop all my bots do what damage I can and move on.

It's simply a case of not enough players squadding. They have to be put against someone. What does annoy me, however, is when you get one meta squad followed by a different clan's meta squad. The MM is in dire need of a rethink.

Kill squads became a thing the second squads became a thing....

Once commanders with 2 or more brain cells to rub together figured out that MM ranks the squad off the highest ranked Commander in the squad...there was no good reason to bring "weak sister" commanders in the squad as there is no bonus for dying "gloriously" in a tragic overmatch or vanquishing a superior foe. (and having your mostly dead bot killed with one shot 5 seconds later) Bringing lesser league commanders just gets your squad outnumbered very quickly.

So...what do you get with 6 equally experienced commanders in nearly equal equipment....with a bit of practice, a kill squad.

Doesn't have to be Champions League...a team of GOLD pilots in LEOS, GRIFFS, GOLEMS & STALKERS could do it...but they would move up to DIAMOND faster than they could re-equip/level up their hangars without spending real money....

I enjoy squadding with my clan, but we don't have a lot of Champions League commanders who squad often...so we tend to get beaten a lot with our mixed bag of pilots. (Even by randoms.)

I play all my bots in every battle...

If 3 blues quit... I've at least finished 3rd and didn't lose as many points...it sux getting slaughtered, but PIXO isn't going to remove kill squadding.

I really don't get tanking....you have to deliberately lose for an extended period of time to start winning again...?

Do you actually earn enough resources over just playing competitively to make it worth looking rather phallic and having lost out on earning resources over that time period?

Despite my best efforts, game crash "tanked" me from Champions League to M2... when I got my game working again, yeah, I won a lot of games and scored quite a bit of rank...but not nearly as much as I left on the table when I would get crashed out of a game (for months). I'm probably 4 months behind where I would have been in building/leveling gear if I could have stayed at or near Champions League....

IMO it’s a logical and totally justified response to a chronically 「dookie」ty situation. The MM has been sad and hopeless for months on end now, but if you want to war it up with others, it is what it is.

Perhaps the long awaited platform merge will “fix” the problems?......?

 Hi everyone. New here from other chats and forums. Mostly I like to read but this topic i thought was kinda only me. I am happy to know lots more than just me are doing it.

 To be honest I remember back when the shocktrain and orkan spectre was the big aggro that had people talking about leaving games and I felt then that it was better to stay in and fight regardless what reds you face. But what changed for me is fighting my heart out against a death squad- even get a kill or two, losing time on boosters, just to end up with a -26 at the end of a match anywayz? That was the last straw.

 So for me, if i start a match and see a bunch of Ao juns take flight- im ejecting (i dont feel like playing super peek-a-boo with pop up super ninnies. All that firepower but just wont come out from hiding to fight without ability? = super vag, yes puss- with a V on your chest). 

 I see death squads- goodbye. Bunch of leeches- Poof im gone. Whatever. Those who wanna have that kind of gear and gameplay can play amongst yourselves. If im gonna get the negative rating anyways, you have to be a raving idiot to think im gonna swallow all the beatdown and aggravation along with it.
And they say i should stay in matches because what? They dont have anyone left to use all their expensive gear on? awwwe. poor babies.

I think once your gear level gets highly enough (as yours is), tanking is the bigger problem. You can battle death squads and have a chance. Or at least score on the top one or two. People with lower gear don’t get that luxury. They just get steamrolled. And that is why I feel most people tank, one bot out, or leave the game. For them death squads is the bigger issue. My hanger is finally getting to a mostly always usable one. So I haven’t left any games in months. Except for one yesterday. I left one against a full cdxx squad. And to make matters worse, shivaswrath was on my team. I feel like a d-bag. Never again.

Oh ok, so beating up with players with gear 5+ levels lower should be acceptable.

Take the number 100. Multiply it by 1.1, by 1.1, by 1.1, by 1.1, by 1.1... hell do it another time. There's where they stand. Let's not forget boosters and pilot skills. It's easily 200 vs 100. I ain't got the time for that ã??dookieã?. If I see where the match is going, I will upfront leave immediately. I will not putz around like a dunce.

If I came there in the first place, it's going to happen again anyway, so I make a plan that works for me. It's called enjoying my ?fluffernutter?ing time spent.

But I don't think that makes me a Tanker... Tanker is the definition to somebody who purposely lowers their rank to seal club. This isn't tanking. Either I read you wrong or you think leaving a 「dookie」ty matchup is tanking.

My personal "whatever" move to death squads is to drop and not take a step, but literally turn my back on the rush. Go ahead, bro, you just run up and hump-shoot me, I won't waste my time on you. 

But I also like to be the guy who embarrasses someone on the death squad by taking him out in the middle of their rout. I like to imagine that he gets razzed by his team in their Discord..."you got killed by a LEO?!"

On the other hand, they've also asked me to squad with them once or twice, so... 

It seems about the same to me. Been playing for over 18 months.

Not so much leavers for me but damage 「loose lady」s who dont push beacons beyond the two home beacons are in full effect. Thats more of a waste of time than death squads imo. Its like an agonizing bleed for 10 mins

I don’t know....I haven’t really noticed much of a change, however the more screwed up Pix makes things, the more screwed up behaviors I see in game.....

My biggest concern is why, after over 18 months on the forum, the Mods don’t break down and pin a sub board somewhere so folks can continue the never ending discussion/rants regarding MM......Mods, any chance of this happening?

One thing is quite clear ... if you thought MM was bad a couple years ago, nowadays it's, well, way past effin bad
