I don't get it. So many players would start shooting whatever they got right from the spawn point. I mean it feels like it's their god-given duty to shoot at their teammates' arses.
Is that a signal for something? If it is, will someone tell me what it is? Or is that just a bot? I mean we all drive bots, but I mean the automated script that people use to cheat kind.

Goooood question. Annoying as hell isn't it?
I don't know why people do it. I mean obviously it is sometimes a signal but you can kind of make out the difference when someone is trying to get your attention vs just randomly blasting into you or whatever they may choose to do.
Often it is an accident also, but that still doesn't explain the ones that keep on doing it......on and on. From there I conclude that they are just trolling and purposely trying to annoy people, children that don't really know what they are doing, or.......yea who knows?
By the time my train of thought gets there I'm 3 bots deep in a beacon and back at spawn again all alone without them to bring me back to that train of questioning.
Edit: I had never thought about the bot thing. I guess that could be a possibility but I sort of doubt it because usually it subsides once engagements begin and if they were to write their script to be able to functionally move around the map, they could write it to know when to shoot also. The "farming" bot scripts that people would use simply ran their machine forward....hence the wall runner bots that you hear of.

Well, if the coder made a simple 'proximity sensor' sort of setup, it'd identify even the teammates as potential targets, but however, I think a botter worth their weight in salt would at least make a better script. That brings us to another even more terrifying conclusion. They simply keep the red button pressed because they have deplorable aim?xd

I think there's a bug for those who use emulators on their PC, auto fire when spawning a bot.
Sometimes people just shoot for the heck of it.
I tend to shoot when I need to get their attention and point them or me in a certain direction. For example, people don't seem to like to get that far side beacon in Yamantau, especially when we spawn mostly heavy bots. So as I run towards the beacon, if I see a slow bot going for it, I will shoot at it and then shoot at the side beacon to tell them I am going for it. They tend to catch the drift and start going for mid instead.
I also shoot at bots a couple of times to reassure them that I'm right behind them. Sometimes I shoot at them to convey my displeasure of them camping in a bot or spot for too long. I have no idea if any of them are able to decrypt the messages, but if you're in a far or mid range bot and someone keeps shooting at you, odds are that they think you need to spawn in a new fighter bot because the team is losing hard.
I actually turned a Shenzhen game where we were winning in kills but losing hard on beacons, beacon bar and time, so my plasma griffin kept shooting at a trident and thunder carnage to ask them to move their butts for beacons. They did understand, we managed to take 4 beacons with less than a minute left and all 4 of us including a rdb griffin conveyed on the last red beacon as time ran out. We took out a Galahad defending that beacon. Reds had that one bot left after we turned that beacon white and time ran out just a couple of seconds after. I didn't think we won, since the bar was extremely close thanks to the 4 beacons we took, but we did win. This is what I liked about the new MM, in the old MM, the carnages would have sat there and watch us lose the game.

Most of the time I expect they're just excited.
I'm guessing it means, "let's get stuck in"!

If you are in a squad, yes it mean something. If you are soloing, then exercise common sense to interpret it. If you think it doesn't make sense, it doesn't.

It's generally lame to do... I like seeing it from the reds to see if they are running plasma vs rockets.
That said, if a guy touches off his tarans accidentally, he is wise to fire them all and reload. But not at ur arse. That's just wrong.

Had one fella in a stalker use it to tell me which beacon he was heading to, then shot me and the beacon he wanted me to head to.
We got the beacons and then I dropped back in in my DB... so did he, he 「dookie」 a salvo at centre and off we went.
We took centre beacon and smashed em, the he started shooting towards their spawn so we headed over there amd smashed it through them.
We destroyed them and got the win within 5 minutes. Old mate dropped a salvo of pinata on me just before the win by way of thanks. Was awesome.

What kind of bot do you usually start? Artilerry bots are deserve that treatment even a cossack with ecu is more useful. Starting with sniper on any map except yamatou is liability for the team. Ok on canyon and spriengfield it's sometimes ok depending on the spawn point.
I've just had a match where two trebutchet Natasha started on dead city.
Most of the time it means you are handicap because subpar bot or tanking.
After the spawn it usually indicate nobody go for the side or home beacon.
In the middle of match it's direction or warning to stop camping we are behind.

This reminds me..there was this Nat I saw, Treb, Noricum, Zenith, Magnum one..this guy couldn't even do good artillery damage nor could he do knife..

Cossack after bronze league is subpar bot usually used by smart tankers. Otherwise it possibly just bad manner.

Some rookies think its an everybody against everybody deathmatch, or just do it because never died because they did not face enemy with full clip True story. The leo was a very good choice, use a thunder and 3 pinatas on it. Collect gold for 4th and 5th slot, read the wiki for informations, replace the cossack with a boa and buy 1-2 griffin. Good luck.

The bright neon green does help with that.xd I remember once I called down an artillery and long range snipe on a opponent camper by blinking the Gekko on it. Fun times.xd
