CCP and Netease join up to produce a mobile EVE Online game. It will be simplified and it will be hosted on a separate server from EVE Online. I am kind of curious to how start my EVE experience again right from the very start. I used to play the MMO a long time ago. Like a really long time ago.
The world's grandest MMO and most complex game, now in your pocket. How technology flies.

Looks interesting, but there was too much cinematic footage that I can't make out what kind of game it is. Is it a space simulator, space RPG or strategy empire building?

Thanks, but I couldn't make head or tails out of that video! Lol yeah that’s what I was trying to show. It looks like a super complicated space radar simulator. I don’t like hyper complicated games where you have to learn and manage 1000 items (think drones on steroids) but I’m intrigued how this game starts and downloading now! edit: ok got the game but the server doesn’t open for another 8 hours ?

I played Eve Echoes last night and it’s interesting, I can definitely see how someone would be into this. The graphics and audio are great, very cinematic in places. My 1st gen iPad Pro did stutter at times, though the device didn’t get warm. There’s tons of buttons and detail and seems to be geared towards hard-core Heinlienian science fiction fans. Like at one point in the tutorial I was supposed to dock at the closest space station, which was 80km away, but my ship only travels at 1/3 km/s so it took 4 minutes to get there. It’s made to be realistic and I appreciate that but later I did get to warp to a conflict. I was disappointed that there’s an up vector. I played another space game with an up vector but this is space, I want a freely orienting camera without a top or bottom angle. Also I wasn’t clear on how to fight. I’d lock target and press the gun buttons but didn’t see it shoot anything. So I’d spam hit the gun buttons and messages would come up saying I didn’t need to do that but I didn’t see any shooting so just continued until the targets exploded. lol I do like that you can lose things and be victim to deception and theft as it tells you in the beginning. My main annoyance though is a chat box in the lower left corner that I haven’t found a way to close yet I’ll make a couple more attempts to figure this game out because it’s kinda zen to sit in this space.

I also played it last night. Tried to make a duplicate of my old PC EVE Amarr imperialist character, which I have not been playing for years. Surprised yet not surprised that the name is already taken. It could be that you are not allowed duplicate names from the PC server. I was thinking of doing Caldari this time, but I bet Jita is crowded like hell always. So back to Amarr. These are like your Dune like theocratic imperialists.
I already played the beta, plus I still have the PC game experience and playing the clone-yet-not-so-clone Second Galaxy. I did only the basic tutorial, and skipped the rest.
I find the controls and the UI confusing, the tutorials interruptive and not so clear. This is going to confuse a lot of people. My chat channel is full of questions and questions.
A good example is the game not having a go back home button. In Second Galaxy, there is a dialog button that sets your ship in autopilot back to base just like that. In order to return to my base, I have to open my inventory, then personal assets, see where most of my personal assets are, and set to autopilot there. Another example is that you have to hit the lock button to lock on to your targets, then press each of your guns separately to fire. Your shields are also manual. In Second Galaxy, you just hit the autobattle button and the ship just locks and blows targets away, with the shield on auto management but other devices remain on manual.
Still I'm sold and I played for hours. Deciding if I should go with the Punisher or Coercer.

I have to say this game looks so graphically good, its like you are playing PC but with touchscreen controls.

Would you believe this game? There is no way to convert real money to the ingame credits which is called isk in this game. You have to earn game credits, the hard way.

This game is as visually as good as you see it in this trailer. It looks exactly like this.
