My advice - don't invest your money (and maybe not even your time) in the game in its current form. Come back when Pix actually gets their ?poo-poo? together. If everyone did that there would be no game to come back to... So be it.

Took the advice and here is the updated hangar. Griffin with the tulu and pins is not as much fun but does solid damage...more of a slash and run kinda mech. May get another Leo for when we feel like smashing some stuff. So, the tulu/pin griffin is still my least fav...the other 3 I am thoroughly enjoying and the molot griffin has been a pleasant surprise. Do we take the games advice and just do the recommended upgrades or is there a different route. Found some posts on the topic but nothing definitive. Would appreciate some fresh opinions. Also, most say upgrade weapons first and then bots...still good advice?

Don't waste time/silver upgrading weapons or bots that won't be useful in the top tier. Here is a short list to get you started. Heavy: Thunder, Trident, Zeus, Ancile. Medium: Orkan, Taran, Tulumbas. Light: Aphid, Pinata, Magnum, Pin.

Also, most say upgrade weapons first and then bots...still good advice? It depends, are you interested in building a hangar for the long haul or are you looking to maintain effectiveness and enjoyment right now? If it's the later, then upgrading multi-functional bots and light weapons are the best choice. The griffin is a great bot to keep. Right now it'll take you all the way to the big leagues... more importantly it can field a wide assortment of light and medium weapons. That means you can re-style it for what you want. Need to do plasma damage? Slap a couple of mags and tarans and you're good to go... want bullets? Either all punishers or all molots and you're off. Need to do splash? You'll have to buy a set of Orkans (gold weapons), but them and Pinatas you're good to go. Mid-range splash... Pins and Tulumbas. Other bots require more thought. When you get Workshop Points you can buy a Carnage (dual heavies). It's not bad... you can outfit thunders, zeuses, or tridents. These are easy bots that can keep you going for awhile with no drawbacks until the real 'big leagues'. You'll probably want to ditch the Natasha (not a massively strong bot), but the Leo is decent (but will be less useful later on). I also like upgrading light weapons first, then mediums, then heavies. They are the fastest and won't keep you waiting forever... Dejnov.

Indeed, except no matter what they do with the game, I'd advice against "investing" in it. But I'd recommend just simply paying to have more fun (less grind, better equipment faster, whatever), because I consider War Robots a fine thing to pay for, if you feel like it. I don't pay, but I say thanks to all who do, and thus keep the servers running and updates coming.

I am new but compared to other games, this one seems like a breeze when trying to deal with EA or Kabam etc... Game is simple enough that they will likely not need to blow up the game play any time soon and if you did drop money, the value seems decent. I play SWGOH and to max out a new toon you are looking at about $400 each. Top players are up in the thousands each month.
I really like the griffin molot setup...may buy another set and run 2 of em. The pin/tulu I may need to upgrade before I really enjoy it.

There will be plenty of time to sit around and face roll boring midrange damage when you get into higher tiers. Enjoy the fast dynamic QCQ you experience at the lower levels while your there!
