DB Griffin still the best, but I prefer Tarans over Orkans with Aphids.

That montage was painful to view.
The TarAphid Griffin does best in the close support role.
From your montage, it looked like you are using it in as an assault mech. This setup doesn't stand up well solo or in the vanguard of a push ---- that role is best performed by the Lancelot.
The footage showed in all but a few scenarios that you are running this mech solo, without support fire cover, and firing from quite a bit in the wide open. If this assessment is so, then I'd recommend doing this in a Galahad, as that bot is more survivable when going solo randoming.
Otherwise, I think you are dying in that bot kinda fast as it's being used in a role that doesn't take full advantage of its 350m range. Generally speaking, you have an advantage over all 300m splash damage setups - slow down and run this bot behind or next to fellow blue bots and you'll get more damage out of it. You'll find that if you aren't in the spearhead of the attack, you'll be able to use last much longer and contribute more to area domination/beacon control. As a bonus, you'll find that playing the close support role makes it easier to play in a squad, as that's morehow squads operate with Griffins.
